We stayed for two nights at Ile Bay Resort at Havelock. It's a newly built resort and not on beach side. So the budget was within our limit. I read some Google reviews and decided to book. But was sceptical about the stay. As soon as we reached the property, the first impression was wow. It's a very nice duplex challet type rooms. We got one at first floor. For my parents I requested one at ground floor and they arranged it instantly. Rooms are spacious,with a balcony.wash room is very spacious and neat and clean as well. Staffs are always ready to fulfill your needs. Food is okish but the hospitality surplus the taste. Only con is at evening you can't hang out as it's far from hustle bustle. Instead you can enjoy inside resort, by pool side or just sitting in balcony with your partner and having nice chitchat. Highly recommended for an enjoyable stay at Havelock

Best place to chill out with friends. This place has great ambience and lighting. And last and most important are the staffs, headed by Manish Bhaiya and his team, who were very friendly and provided us the best service they could. Also the tandoori items were delicious.

Best property to stay in Havelock. We spent 4 days here in a Deluxe cottage. The room was on the 1st floor of an independent cottage with the room windows and the balcony directly facing the ocean. The room was quite spacious, the bathroom nearly the same size as the room (weird !!) and the outdoor balcony was again similarly spacious. Rooms are cleaned daily if you leave the key at the reception between 12PM to 3PM. Within the property, there is a well-maintained lawn with walkways which are great for sunrise walks. This resort has private beach access to the east-facing ocean, which makes it perfect to enjoy sunrise views. There are some good restaurants like Anju Coco, Himalayan Restaurant, Famous Seafood at a walkable distance from the resort. The biggest negative is the lack of room service. You have the option of ordering food at the in-house restaurant and carrying it to your room but beware that they will give you heavy plates, cutlery etc making it a pain to take it back to the room. However, the food was quite good, especially the local dishes section under the vegetarian fare. The breakfast provided is quite decent with around 2 Indian breakfast items ***** with cereal, bread, tea etc. You have to specifically ask the servers for any egg items and they would be provided complimentary.

Amazing stay !!!! The food is awesome here...all services and facility are amazing ..Kalapathar & Radhanagar beach and in between us this resort ...The people here coordinate well and helpers are also very good at work. Highly recomanded for the visitors at Havelock... Ambience 10/10. Sevice 10/10 Workers/Helpers name Raj and Sudeep 10/10 Manager Mr Nibash was very good....Restuarant and food 10/10 Cleanliness 10/10. Also, not to forget the surrounding is all green and the flowers are amazing, gardening is amazing...Overall spot on... Whenever I would visit Havelock next my stay would be no where else other than at ”The Blue Ocean Resort” Swaraj Dweep😊😊👍🏻👍🏻Thanks for the service.

This has a very serene view if you get a sea side such as room 104, 105 etc. This is located around 7-9 km from the port blair airport. Full of green and sea breeze will amaze you. It has a good bar and restaurant. However the buffet breakfast may not attract you much if you are from metros. You may find options are very limited. Bath rooms are a bit smelly.

This is strictly a low budget hotel. IF you can get it for Rs1500- 2000 then it is ok based on the amount paid . But anything more you will be very disappointed. The rooms are very small size so it is only recommended for 2 people. Anything more it will be very cramped. The room decor is very average. Bathroom's are dimly lit and stained. There are lizards all around and they enter the room. At night on/around door you will find 4-5 lizards . The hotel room surroundings are overgrown shrubs which invite more insects. Breakfast is just puri chole and shvai upma each day. one Good policy they have is to allow guests to pay RS 500 to stay 3/4 hrs beyond checkout time of 8 am which is useful if ferry leaves at noon. On Neil Island the stay options are limited but I would recommend trying to find something better if you are travelling with family and children. For bachelors or people wanting lower budget stay they can evaluate if it fits their needs

Lets come straight to the point: They are total of may be 7-10 staff to look after 150 guests hence they are only for earning money and not for providing you a good experience. 1. Cleanliness - Will clean room only before you check-in and in later days you won't even see them, even when asked them repeatedly to do the cleaning, staff just vanished to never come back. The restaurant buffet table is actually bed for stray dogs and cats where next day they will be serving the food for you and worst thing is they don't even clean the table. Beach is very dirty, they don't care if beach gets filled with plastics and bottles. 2. Food - Tasteless, worst food of this resort, just 1 cook and helper is there. They'll charge you 500 for breakfast and everyday will give only Poori (made of maida) and aaloo chole with normal bread and jam. They don't server a-la-carte hence will charge you 400 for lunch buffet (roti, chawal (lowest quality),dal (only water), 2 sabji (no paneer/exotic dishes))- and 500 for dinner. Better to look for food options outside, we had our lunch and dinner in Annapurna hotel just 50m away to the right of this resort with good food at reasonable price. 3. How to fool people - Don't you go by name ”Sea View-with balcony” as no rooms in this resort is sea view and all the rooms from cheapest to costliest is having balcony. Secondly don't get fooled by seeing bath tub, water doesn't run from taps in bathtub it's just for making fool of us. A/C doesn't works from early morning 10 till evening 4p.m and the reason they will state is electricity is not their, hence sweat it out. 4. Service: The staff are rude and it seems they have done a favour to us by providing us room, if you are late by more than 30 mins, they will stand at your head outside your room as if you are a tenant who hasn't paid their rent from past 6 months and will ask to vacate you in very rude manner. DON'T BOOK THIS RESORT, CHEAP, MONEY MINDED, GOONS, WILL DESTROY YOUR HOLIDAY MOOD. Book Symphony resort instead.

At Port Blair and in the Anda***s in general, most of the good hotels are terribly overpriced. Serene Palace is one of those hidden gems in Port Blair for not just budget travellers, but those who seek true value for their hotel stay in terms of hospitality, proximity to touristy places and service quality. My wife and I were looked after well during our stay here and would highly recommend this non pretentious hotel to make the most of your stay in Port Blair.

The GKM GRAND HOTEL at Andaman is located in the heart of the city of Port - Blair catering to the needs of tourists in all possible ways. It's well planned and professionally managed hotel. The owner sri A. Gurusamy sir is present at the premises round the clock and take care and fulfilled the needs of everyone. He treats everyone of us as his relative. After getting the consent from the guests only the daily menu is prepared which is very sumptuous, tasteful and delicious. The rooms are very nice, neat, spacious and accomodative to all. They provide the basic amenities like towels, cheppals, soaps, room fresher, mosquito repellent and coffee maker with all the requirements in the room itself without asking it for.Everyday the room is refreshed with modern gadgets. The hospitality of the staff is unmatched, unparalleled and tremendous with smiling face. Every staff take care of our needs in an exemplary manner. Whenever We are asking to go to anywhere immediately Gurusamy sir arranged the vehicle with smiling face.There was no hitch up in our itinerary. Definitely the stay in the hotel is marvelous and exceeds our expectations. We never forget the rich experience that gained in the hotel. Last but not the least that every one of us feels the hotel as their own house. I strongly recommend this hotel for a cozy stay. With heavy heart we left the hotel with sweet memories.

The property is located just 1km away from havelock jetty and is close to most of the diving centres and govind nagar beach. Its surrounded by coconut trees making your stay quaint and peaceful. The room was big, clean and has all the amenities mentioned. The manager and caretaker suman were really helpful with all the whereabouts and concerns we had. The usp of this hotel is the food. The breakfast including all other meals we had were the best ones in our entire andaman trip. I would recommend this stay if you are visiting havelock.

One of the best hotels in havelock island. This hotel is very comfortable for couples, families and for even girls groups also. Feels very safe and secured here. who manages this resort is very calm and kind. Very beautiful hotel at this price. The exterior and interior are very beautiful and well maintained. We stayed here for 2 days. The restaurant outside this hotel is also good. The punjabi uncle plays punjabi music all time at very comfortable decent volume. This creates good vibes in hotel rooms. Overall it was a very great and comfortable experience.

Extremely disappointing to think that anyone would deem it fine to run a resort which is so run down without renovating / revamping the place. It’s like the rooms are in the middle of a junkyard with loads of junk like unused furniture, kitchen furniture etc lying around in the garden. The garden is badly maintained too & all the poor plants are either half dead / dying. There are so called ponds which are dirty & more like sewage ponds within the property.There is no access to the beach through the resort..you have to go outside & access it via the road. Just 5 mins though. The front desk seems to be clueless about anything & everything. It was bearable as we’re experienced travellers, so after the first day, we knew how to get around & what to do & whom to ask. Excuses for not knowing about transportation, food, restaurants etc. when you’re in the hospitality business is not ok. We asked the front desk for an auto to go for dinner at ‘Something different’….we ended up paying Rs.450/- which is more than regular autos & were later told by ‘Someting different’ that they have pick up & drop facility for patrons. Even this basic information the front desk doesn’t have. On the day we were checking out, we’d asked for a cab to be arranged to the jetty. The cab guy took off leaving us stranded because he had to wait for 15 mins. The hotel staff, nor the front desk had a clue what to do, nor did they seem interested in doing anything until I started losing my patience. Even then they were making a half hearted attempt to do nothing. Finally in a panic, I called the auto driver who had helped us in our travels through the whole week ( a very good person who we found ) & he arranged for two autos to take us within 5 mins. Same thing that a ‘chain of hotels’ couldn’t manage to to. The rooms were clean though basic, but did find one or two cockroaches. The room cleaning was done regularly & properly. The only saving grace is the breakfast which was very good & the manager - Geoffrey who seemed to have quite a number of good suggestions about what to do on the island, which was useful & helpful. I think you’ll need to firstly understand who are the type of customers you’ll want to cater to. Sorry for the realistic review, but you’ll really need to wake up & pull up your socks.
