Kaifeng's Daxiangguo Temple is a charming ancient temple with a history spanning over a thousand years. It was a royal temple during the Northern Song Dynasty and the setting for Lu Zhishen's famous act of uprooting the willow tree in the classic novel *Water Margin*.
