Highlights: The Temple of Confucius was converted from his residence and is famous in China as a place to make offerings to the scholar. The temple is enormous, covering nine courtyards. The majestic complex includes over one hundred structures lined up facing each other along the central pathway. Today, offerings to Confucius are still continuously being made here, and scheduled major music and dance events draw many people who dress in traditional Chinese dress and come to worship Confucius.
