Close to everything yet quiet. Beautifully maintained and very well managed Mexican-designed, flower-filled property with stunning views at reasonable prices. One of my best stays ever. I decided to visit San Miguel to get away during these crazy times. I was planning on staying with friends but they had a plumbing problem the day before I arrived. They found Casitas Aparicio for me because they knew I needed strong Internet so I could work by Zoom, which was very important. The owner Paula was very accommodating and helpful in setting everything up at the last minute. Not only was the internet strong but the rest of the place was fantastic. In my extensive travels over the years I have stayed at as many as 100 places. Casitas Aparicio is one of my favorites. For one, it is on the edge of the historic center, which is one of most beautiful I’ve ever seen. So it’s close to everything but on a small, one-way street that is just outside of the hustle and bustle. When entering from the door on the street you’d never know what beautiful place awaits you. The tree and flowering plant-lined floor is covered in Mexican Adobe -colored tile. There are 6 different 1 and 2 bedroom casitas on a few levels. I stayed in 2 separate units during my stay, most of the time in unit 6 at the top. The place was so nice, I decided to extend my stay in San Miguel for one month. The view from my terrace, as well as the delightful community terrace was stunning. The place is as well maintained as any I can remember and Isabel, Miguel and Cristina keep it spotless and the plants and flowers vibrant. The property manager Petra was always readily available when I did silly things like lock myself out of my room or my things in the safe. My stay was so delightful and the views so stunning that I ended up buying a house on the hill I overlooked from the terraces that show off the unparalleled beautiful climate of San Miguel. If I didn’t buy a house, I’d stay there every time I returned to San Miguel.
