Very large hotel complex with huge indoor pool. Rooms are extremely overheated (seems common in Germany) but ours thankfully had giant sliding door onto a balcony so we could cool things down. Very clean, large room, comfortable bed with non-feather pillows (yay). No toiletries provided except all-in-one squeezy bottle of shampoo/body wash, again seems common in Germany but no conditioner makes hair terrible! Breakfast was included with our room, a very extensive buffet selection including omelettes made to order. Swimming pool was amazing! Apparently there’s 2 different pool areas with different water temperatures- we chose to use the 30deg pool area which has grottos, spas, saunas, a bar and an outside part where it was refreshing to have your head & arms out in 7deg cold & the rest of you in the warm 30deg water! Perfect location to walk to the many wonderful shops & restaurants of the main tourist area.

Despite its size, the hotel is well in the landscape and has a very well-managed area. The CheckIn was quick and professional. The rooms are well equipped with comfortable beds and sufficient box. Here would have been only a water cooker desirable. Highlight in the hotel is the large wellness area with saunas, swimming pools and sunshine. All is modernly designed, maintained and clean. Partly it was quite full, but from 17:00 a.m. you had the whole range for yourself. There is the possibility of booking various applications or salt rooms. The whole body massage was very good, only the salt mill appeared to be relaxing but completely without effect, damage about €23. We had only booked with breakfast and had a double à la carte dinner in the hotel. The dishes were also very good with smaller craft defects. Something disappointing was the breakfast buffet. For a 4-star hotel there were no surprises here, only solidly cooked eggs and whirlpool and not acceptable with sirup put water as a juice substitute. The service was very effortless and always friendly everywhere in the hotel. Problems such as the bar were openly discussed before the guests and even for a quite nervous fault alarm over 20 minutes was not apologised. In general, however, it is recommendable who is looking for rest and relaxation.

I had booked the hotel spontaneously as 'walk in' for 2 nights. It opened back to Corona only on 01.05.23 and the very different reviews had 'irritated' me. I wanted to make a picture. But shortly after the lobby entered I was clear that it 'passes'. Culture with swimming pool and sauna are not useful for unlimited time as they need to be restored. Lt. Website has opened the sauna, but there are currently problems with access to this. Otherwise, the guest expects a 'geared' hotel with a lot of history and friendly staff from A-Z! The old building has generally a real charm, the newly designed indoor courtyard with old castanie and teich invites to stay. The hotel is currently operated as 'Garni'. I had a EZ of comfort category in the old building with balcony and view of the Rose Garden (No. 136), renovated incl. bathroom with bathtub. The breakfast buffet is good, the atmosphere in the 'old dining room' is wonderful, the part in the cultivation rather 'quadrant, practical, good'. I'd like to come back ....

The most important thing when you book a night at any hotel is to get a good night’s sleep. And when it’s 35 degrees outside and you check in to a room with no air conditioning or fans provided, it’s just not acceptable. The temperature in our bedroom was 32 degrees making it impossible to sleep until the temperature starting dropping around 2am. Apart from the lack of sleep the hotel was ok, a bit outdated, but ok service. Food in restaurant was very traditional German and quite expensive, but tasted ok.

The location is perfect. We came with the bike. Unfortunately there is no subordination for the bikes. Furthermore, we were happy with the wellness area. But it was closed. Unfortunately, it was not apparent when booking.
