Palanga Life Balance Spa Hotel

Spent two nights here during the weekend. Overall good experience, however there are a few details that made the price to quality ratio questionable. First of all, bad sound isolation - if somebody is staying in a room next to you, you’ll hear everything. The water in the shower was not going down the drain properly, therefore you had to regularly turn the water off while showering in order to not flood the bathroom. Also, the bedding is not hypoallergenic - filled with feathers, which triggered my allergies that I didn’t even know I had. So beware if you’re allergic. Breakfast choices are quite limited, especially if you don’t eat meat. Also, an extra of 30€ per night for parking sounds quite ridiculous considering the price you pay for the stay. The location is great, the design and interior is very stylish and unique. SPA area is nice, however a little weirdly organised. To sum up, not a bad experience, however nothing special and quite a few disappointments for the price paid. Probably would look for a different place next time.

For the price 370 euro per night deluxe suite, I would expect 5-star service and amenities, yet that is not what you will get. And it is a bit strange for a small hotel like this. First positives: Nice good size rooms, which looks less tacky than on photos. Good breakfast. New and nice hotel. Negative: There are no sunblinds in the second room which makes it hot and brings light early. There is no AC. How is it possible to have 5-stars without AC? For this price? Refrigerator did not work. I reported to reception - 0 impact. The spa is a joke. It is just a sauna and jacuzzi. Moreover, the staff did not even bother to fill it with water. They do not care. If you want, you can fill. In a 5-star hotel! There is nowhere to leave luggage on checkout. Even 0-star hotels have that. In general, there is nobody who can help you with baggage at all. Is it arrival or departure - looks like they do not care. It did enjoy my short stay, yet was disappointed with service.

I stayed at this hotel for a couple of days which were supposedly very busy for the hotel (lots of people). Some experiences that stood out: 1. Food (all you can eat) is really great, as I'm on a plant-based diet I always had things to eat, it was well prepared, lots of choices and it had a lot of changes day to day, meal to meal. Everything was cleaned up, replaced fast. I was very pleased with it. However, if you decide to purchase breakfast/ lunch/ dinner/lunch all you can eat separately it's pretty expensive. (15,18,20eur at the data of writing this review.) 2. Restaurant at 8th floor is way too overpriced for what you get. But has a great view. 3. Cryotherapy, sensory deprivation tank wasn't working / I couldn't book it. A bit disappointing 4. The bicycles the hotel offers to rent weren't of the best quality but did the job for the price (5 eur / hour), also when it was time to return them we couldn't find an empty spot where to lock them in as people would lock their own bikes to the stands while we were gone. We had to find where to squeeze them in, we did find a spot but it's just a slight annoyance. You can also rent scooters (10eur / hour). We didn't rent but they seemed to be newish. 5. There was construction happening outside but it didn't really affect me all that much (But we stayed Friday - Monday and Monday was national day off) 6. Gym equipment is great, was almost always empty. 7. The pools when I visited (during a rainy day at around ~5 PM) were full and you couldn't really use them. The other pool was locked because there was a an exercise session going on so the other one was really packed full. Saunas were okay, there weren't too many people. 8. Some of the staff of some procedures can't speak Lithuanian at all or can speak only a limited amount. For me personally it wasn't a big deal because most of these procedures you didn't need to do much talking( in mud procedures or baths) , but still a minor annoyance although I completely emphasize and am not complaining that much. 9. Had to wait for an hour for our room to get ready when we arrived at around 2 PM. Not a big deal, just something to keep in mind. 10. I really enjoyed the massages. 11. Although it was a busy period for the hotel, we could always find where to park after going out to town, which is nice. Other than that everything was great. Very decent, modern, clean room, great view, great location, close to the beach, fast internet, has AC, the hotel itself has a very modern feel to it. You get free mineral water on the first floor (even though I didn't like it that much). There are 3 restaurants in the hotel itself, has voleyball court, some hammocks outside, Staff helpful, professional I had a great visit.

We stayed at the hotel for 5 days - we were satisfied with everything - comfortable room, responsive and kind staff, good breakfast, own parking lot, very good location. If possible, next time in Palanga, we will also choose this hotel and recommend it to our friends.
