We recently stayed for 2 nights at this hotel since although it was overpriced, its nightly rates were better than its competition's. Front desk staff was very friendly and helpful, and our room was clean and spacious. Breakfast was standard fare for a Holiday Inn Express, and we appreciated the one type of fresh fruit each morning (oranges the first morning, bananas the second.) And the bed was comfortable. The worst part of the stay, and the one reason why I won't stay here again: the A/C in our room was SO loud . . . There was an A/C unit on the wall that appeared to do nothing, which led us to try the A/C unit directly under the window. It worked fine at cooling the room, but - even with ear plugs - was much too loud for us to fall asleep with. The only solution that worked was turning off the A/C completely, leading to a too-warm room halfway through the night. (Not okay with Florida's high temperatures.) So frustrating!! The location is okay; not near the things and people in Tampa Bay that we visited, and traffic in Pinellas as of late is awful. If this will be the case for you too, add some time to your calculations of when to leave to get somewhere.

This was a stopover on a long drive along both Florida coasts for fun and relaxation. I arrived and the man at the front desk with a New York/northeastern accent was very welcoming and friendly. He and another man upgraded me to a poolside room which I graciously accepted. I noticed I forgot to bring my beach shoes and they were very helpful with directions on several places to buy a pair. The pool is outdoor as most are in Florida. Nothing fancy, but did the job. Bed was comfortable and breakfast was typical HIE fare. Would return.

I booked this for my wife to attend a religious speaker near by this hotel. My wife arrived late and was not greeted how any customers should be greater. ONLY ”ID PLEASE!” As my wife searched for her ID he said another ”I SAID I NEED YOUR ID” The next day I get a call from the woman at the front desk say that I was staying in two room and I would be charged and I needed to figure out what room I wanted to stay. I called my wife to ask what was the situation with the ac that made her change room. She did not change room nor complain about anything. The woman in the phone said ”Well we need to figure this out and someone needs to move the luggage to one room or we are going to bill you for both rooms” I told her she was wrong my wife was still in the original room. I ask to talk to the manager she told me they would not call till Monday. Insulting us and insinuating that we were defrauding an inn keeper. Stay June 23 to June 25. I have messaged in the app and the text message service the hotel uses with out any responses.

This was the 3rd time I stayed here, but the first time for my wife. The first two times I had a smoking room where this time it was a non smoking room. I like the kind of room where the bed is to the left as you enter the room. This time we were in room 122. This hotel is my most favorite hotel in the Clearwater, Largo and Pinellas Park area. I would only stay somewhere else if I find a lower price. The staff is very friendly and helpfull. You may not want to stay here on New Years Eve as it was a little noisy until about 2 AM New Years Day, but any other night is OK. A little light comes in the room around the curtains, so if you need to sleep during the day, I suggest that you buy a mask, but not like the one the Longer Ranger wears. There is no toilet bowl brush in the room and the toilet paper holder is mounted under the counter at the end. It is to the left and very difficult to use. When I travel by car I always remember to bring two things. A toilet bowl brush and a toilet paper holder stand. The stand can be placed wherever it works the best.
