My stay at the treasury was truly exceptional! From the moment I arrived, the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, making my check-in process seamless. The room was beautifully decorated, spacious, and impeccably clean. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and I slept like a baby! The hotel's location was also perfect, within walking distance of many attractions. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a memorable and enjoyable stay.

I had the pleasure of staying at this unique boutique hotel during my recent trip to China, and it was truly a memorable experience. From the moment I arrived, I was captivated by the hotel’s distinctive character—an enchanting blend of rustic charm and ancient elegance.
The architecture and interior design are steeped in history, with weathered stone walls, antique wooden beams, and traditional decor that transport you back in time. Yet, despite its aged aesthetic, the hotel is immaculately maintained and thoughtfully curated. Every corner tells a story, and there’s a quiet beauty in its timeworn textures and peaceful ambiance.
Service was warm and attentive, with staff who made me feel genuinely welcome and went out of their way to ensure my comfort. My room was cozy, well-appointed, and tastefully designed to reflect the historic atmosphere while offering all the modern amenities I needed.
The atmosphere throughout the hotel was serene, offering a perfect retreat from the bustle of the city. Whether I was enjoying tea in the tranquil courtyard or simply admiring the vintage touches in the hallway, I felt relaxed and inspired.
Highly recommended for travelers looking for something beyond the typical hotel stay—this place is more than a place to sleep; it’s an experience in itself.

The hotel has a very convenient location — right by the main pedestrian street, with plenty of restaurants, shops, and easy access to the metro. There’s a small gym, and the front desk staff were friendly and helpful, they even let me check in an hour early after a long flight. Breakfast was decent by Chinese standards.
The only downside was that my room had no view of the city, but on the plus side, it was perfectly quiet and I couldn’t hear any noise from the busy street, which made it easy to sleep.
Overall, a good stay for the price.

The hotel is situated near a metro station so access is generally nice. Interior design is modern and the staff here are all very friendly and helpful as well. It’s also only minutes away from Huangpu River and a ferry pier with a route heading to Lujiazui where oriental pearl tower is. It’s a pleasant experience staying at this hotel.

We had such a great stay at this hotel during our trip to Shanghai! A few things really stood out and made the experience extra enjoyable:
1. Super Convenient Location:
The location couldn’t be better—it’s just one short street away from Nanjing East Road and really close to Line 2 of the metro, so getting around was super easy. The Bund is also within walking distance. Plus, there’s a Lawson right around the corner and a Kedi store just across the street, which came in handy. There are also tons of eateries and coffee shops nearby, so you’re never far from a good meal or a nice cup of coffee.
2. Clean and Comfortable:
Since the hotel is still quite new, everything felt fresh and really well maintained. The room was spotless, and they had all the essentials like shampoo, conditioner, and soap. Toothbrush kits are available if you ask, and the heated toilet seat was such a nice touch—especially after a long day out.
3. Room Upgrade with an Amazing View:
We got upgraded to the Panoramic Deluxe Room, which was such a nice surprise! The room was really spacious and the view from the window was absolutely amazing—definitely a highlight of our stay.
4. Freeflow Minibar:
Loved that the minibar was free and restocked—it’s those little things that make a stay feel extra welcoming.
5. Great Staff and Easy Communication:
The staff were super helpful and friendly. You can chat with them through WeChat, and they were always quick to respond whenever we had questions or needed help.
All in all, we’d totally recommend this place if you’re heading to Shanghai. It’s in a perfect spot, the rooms are clean and comfy, and the service is top-notch. Would definitely stay here again!

Exceptional Stay - Outstanding Service!
We had a wonderful experience staying at this hotel. From the moment i arrived, the staffs were incredibly helpful, attentive and professional.
Their warm hospitality and willingness to assist with anything we needed truly made our stay feel comfortable.
Breakfast perfectly fine for elderly and provided late porridge. Laundry service is good too!
Location is also perfect, walking distance to major attractions.
Though the room size is slightly smaller than kthers, it does not affect our stay. Understand it located at golden area.
Overall, we would stay again if go shanghai, and highly recommend to anyone looking for great service and convenience.

We loved this hotel! They upgraded us and were so efficient at check in. I was shocked by how good the view was and we had a bathtub in the room too, the room was very spacious. Great service, whatever we asked for they had someone bring within 5 minutes. There’s a robot to deliver take out that is quick too.
Cleanliness was good, cleaning aunties were lovely. They had a lot of amenities provided like sleep mask etc and a bathtub bag that was replaced daily. Near the lifts you can grab extra combs, toothbrushes etc if you needed it, so that was convenient. Bed was very comfortable, loved the pillows. Block out curtains did a good job and I didn’t hear any sounds- overall great sleep.
Such an amazing location near the bund w a fantastic river view, I would stay here again in a heart beat. Also they always have 2 doormen at any time who helped to carry the luggage up the stairs and bring to the room etc. Even very late at night they’re there which does help to make the lobby security feel more secure.

Excellent location right on Nanjng walking Street and 2 buildings away from Peace Hotel, but not noisy as street noise are blocked by the double windows. No view of the Bund but only a 3 mins walk from the Bund. Down side for location is that any car pick up needs to walk around 2 mins to the street corner. Great b’fst selection with Chinese & Western option buffet, different coffee tea milk juice, etc. Staff are super friendly and courteous, late check out till 1 pm is always given if you ask. Pillows are on the soft & flat side so you might want to ask for harder pillow, free bottle water at each floor’s lift lobby take all you can drink.

The location of the hotel is extremely convenient. It’s situated right on Nanjing Pedestrian Road, making it easy to explore the heart of the city. There are plenty of restaurants and food nearby. The famous Bund is also within walking distance.
The room, while not as spacious as we had expected, was still adequate for two people. It was clean and well-maintained, providing a decent level of comfort for a short stay.
However, we did encounter a few issues during our time at the hotel. Firstly, the design of the shower area caused water to flow out into the toilet space after use. This was a bit inconvenient as it made the bathroom floor wet and slippery.
Secondly and more concerning, was an incident involving the housekeeping staff. On the second morning of our stay, we went out for breakfast without placing a “Please Clean Room” sign on the outside door. Surprisingly, when we returned from L9 cafeteria to L3 room, we found that the cleaning staff had entered and was in the middle of tidying the room. We were quite shocked, especially since we had not requested housekeeping service, nor were we informed that staff would be entering the room by default. This was particularly worrying because we had left personal belongings, including a wallet and a mobile phone inside the room unattended. It is same incident happened to other room in L2 as well during our stay. I was curious if someone showering and sleeping in the room, the cleaner will suddenly pop out for cleaning without informed?! Sounds unsafe.
While we appreciate the staff’s efforts to keep the room clean, we believe that guests should be notified or asked for permission before anyone enters the room. This would help ensure both privacy and security for hotel guests.

GGuest UserCitadines Gubei Apartment Hotel is a great place to stay in Shanghai. Convenient location, there are all the necessary shops nearby. The hotel itself is very comfortable, polite staff who always helps. We stayed with the children in a two-storey room and it was just a delight, we were very comfortable. Very comfortable beds. The room has a kitchen area, which was very convenient for us, we even used a washing machine.
We liked the breakfast, the choice is very large. We will definitely return to the Citadines Gubei Apartment Hotel the next time we are in Shanghai.
AAralekThis hotel is much beyond our expectation for this price. The room is big and clean. Washing machine and hanger are in the room. Air condition can become heater too. Projector is huge but all movie must be paid. Windows can be opened. The hotel in in the same building as Wanda Plaza which is ver convenient for everything. The street food is also at the back of hotel. You can find anything in the market. Traveling From airport to hotel is super easy. Didi will drop you in from of the hotel and you just walk to the corner of Wanda plaza. Suju hotel is labeled at the door in english. Its super closed to Zhoupu station exit 2. That is awesome.
The path in the building may be dirty but the room is clean.
I dont like only one thing that I can smell smoke in the room during the night. That hurt my nose.
GGuest UserReally loved my stay here! Although I agree that it can be confusing on how to find the hotel entrance since it's deep within the IFC mall, the location is super convenient to the metro (Lujiazui station is also connected to the mall) and nearby sights! It's affordable for the area, and has so many amenities, even including two TVs (although I think not smart TVs), full sized fridge/freezer, oven, cooking utensils/dishes/dish detergent and laundry machine along with standard robe/slippers/safe/bathtub/shower/heated toilet/bottled water etc. The hallway and outside was also very quiet and it was very easy to sleep at night on the super comfortable and fluffy pillows and blanket. The entire layout of the room was good and I would definitely stay again.
AAnonymous UserI like the decoration of the room very much. It is clean and tidy. It is comfortable to live in. It is very quiet. The hotel has good sound insulation. The breakfast is very delicious. The front desk service attitude is very good.
Uuhhkateewe arrived in the early hours of the morning around 1am and fortunately, we were able to check-in to our room. as the pictures of our room type show, there is a nice window that was the reason why we decided to book this hotel.
some points to note are
1. daily housekeeping
2. heater in the toilet
3. no safe
only con is that there are not many food choices at night.
AAnonymous UserThe hotel's service is very good. There are quite a lot of food to eat. Inside the hotel room is a Duplex, which is suitable for about four people, but it's stuck where the bathroom door may not be closed tightly. The hotel staff can speak English. The maid comes to clean the room every day. The hotel may be a little far from outside the city, you can take a taxi or take a metro.
GGuest UserThis time, I arrived at the Shama Hotel in Shanghai, where the front desk staff, Angel Zhu, provided exceptionally attentive service. Whether it was the arrangement of the room or the introduction to the surrounding environment, she made me feel thoroughly valued. She swiftly completed the check-in process for me and escorted me to my room. I will definitely stay here again on my next visit to Shanghai. The room was spacious and bright, with a decor that elegantly blended modern style with the charm of old Shanghai. The interior was meticulously arranged. Looking out from the window, whether it was the bustling traffic during the day or the dazzling lights at night, I was utterly enchanted. The gym also allowed me to maintain a healthy lifestyle and enjoy relaxation. If you have the chance to visit Shanghai, don’t miss out on this experience. I believe it will offer you a uniquely memorable stay.
GGuest UserThis place was in such a convenient location, just blocks away from the Jing An temple. They had many amenities for us to use, including an electric stove, hair dryer, bowls and plates, washing machine, and dryer. The service was top notch; they responded at all hours of the day, even after I got back late at 2am. Also when the bed was a bit hard for me, they added soft mattress padding the next day. Great service and great location

YYow Chong YongUnbeatable location, 5mins walk from Xintiandi plaza (and the metro station entrance is there too), another 5 mins to Xintiandi itself.
Breakfast is decent, it's a semi buffet breakfast, you get the salad, cold cuts, bread/pastry on buffet. the mains are ala carte. The mains selections is limited, but it is cook on order. so you will get them hot. Quality of food is good.
Rooms are big, you get a full kitchen with a washing machine. Very convenient.

GGuest UserWe had a pleasant stay at Baselite. The location is decent - there's no metro station very close, but there are 3 lines within 15 minutes. Check-in was a little tough with the language barrier, including lots of inspection and photos of visas that have nothing to do with China. There's an adequately-equipped gym, a yoga room that was hardly ever in use, and a shared kitchen where some of the longer-term residents seem to hang out. Each room also has a kitchen, but we were given no kitchen supplies whatsoever at the beginning - not even a cup or a set of chopsticks. Everything was clean and functional though. Can recommend.
