MirinaVThe hotel has a great location—the main shopping street and the waterfront are within walking distance. The metro is within walking distance, which is very important (a two-minute walk). This is especially important because, when returning to the hotel tired in the evening, we could quickly get from the metro to the hotel. I also want to express my sincere gratitude to the reception manager, Suki — she helped us arrange our domestic flight to the Avatar Mountains (we couldn't check in or choose seats). She was a very pleasant and responsible woman! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

My muyaoMy weekend stay at the Bellagio Shanghai, operated by Suning, was a truly comfortable and relaxing urban getaway.
The hotel's location and views are, of course, outstanding. Watching the Suzhou Creek and the Pudong skyline at night, all the quintessential Shanghai charm unfolded before my eyes. The hotel's aesthetic also really appealed to me; it doesn't chase flashy modernity, but instead has a timeless and understated classic feel that withstands the test of time. The room was very comfortable, especially the bedding, which was excellent, ensuring a great night's sleep. Even casual photos turned out beautifully – it's the kind of place that's pretty from any angle, without needing to deliberately find a good shot.
This time, I particularly want to thank Penny.
Over the years, I've stayed in many hotels, and once the hardware reaches a certain standard, it's truly the people who make the difference. Penny left me with an impression that can be summarized in two phrases: meticulous attention to detail and thorough consideration.
Before and after check-in, she proactively sought to understand our preferences and needs. Many things didn't require repeated explanations; she had already thought of them in advance. What's remarkable is that this attentiveness never felt forced; she had excellent discretion, making the entire weekend feel very relaxed.
One small incident, in particular, is worth mentioning. Even after her shift, Penny continued to help coordinate and arrange things for us, and she specifically clarified our personal preferences one by one. Guests may not always realize how much internal communication is involved, but the seamless experience she delivered speaks volumes about her dedication and professionalism.
Good service is never just about enthusiastic words; it's about anticipating what the guest hasn't thought of, and having already arranged what the guest has thought of. Penny excelled in this regard.
It was a weekend without a tight itinerary or any special plans – just enjoying the views, getting good sleep, and leisurely passing time at the hotel. Ironically, this was one of the most enjoyable and relaxing breaks I've had recently.
The hardware, views, and ambiance of the Bellagio Shanghai are all worth a return visit, but what truly makes someone choose a hotel again are often these small details in the service.
Thank you, Penny, for your care. I will definitely choose this hotel again and hope to see you next time.

ⅰceЪаΒŸ ʕ ᵔᴥᵔ ʔA Nostalgic Journey to Old Shanghai at the Yangtze Hotel
The Yangtze Hotel, a century-old establishment, embodies the charm of old Shanghai. Built in 1933, it was once known as the 'third largest hotel in the Far East.' Though now rebranded as The Yangtze Boutique Hotel, for me, the name 'Yangtze Hotel' evokes a more elegant and romantic feel, befitting a high-end, historically preserved building.
Stepping into the hotel lobby, the romantic ambiance of old Shanghai washes over you, as if traveling back in time. It makes you want to hum the tune of 'Rose, Rose, I Love You,' a song that has resonated here through the ages, becoming an eternal classic. After checking in, exploring, and taking photos, I recommend heading to the Western restaurant on the first floor for afternoon tea. The Western pastries are beautifully presented, with a wide variety of sweet options and fewer savory ones. The taste was just average, but the service was excellent. Coming here is more about soaking in the atmosphere and enjoying the sentiment that the environment and service evoke.

Had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The location is excellent, with easy access to transportation. While the room facilities aren't the newest, the bedding was comfortable, making for a very relaxing stay. The front desk staff were quite friendly and welcoming, making me feel right at home. Overall, the hotel's environment and cleanliness are far superior to express hotels in the same price range. Highly recommend.

Guest UserI stayed for two nights and was very satisfied with the hotel. The facilities were complete and well-equipped, including a smart toilet and a mini-fridge. The toiletries were good, and there were full-length, vanity, and makeup mirrors. I especially liked the thoughtful shower design: a large overhead rainfall shower for adults and a lower wall-mounted one for children. The bed was also very comfortable. The hotel's location is excellent, just about 50-60 meters to the right of Exit 2 of Dashijie Station on Line 8. It's close to Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street and The Bund, and only a stop or two away by subway. The male receptionist was polite and had a great attitude, and the cleaning staff were also very friendly and polite, always greeting everyone with a smile. Overall, it was a fantastic experience!

Guest UserI made a last-minute decision to stay at this hotel, and the staff were incredibly welcoming. They personally escorted me to my room, explaining all the features and amenities, and even highlighted the hotel's special services. The room offered a direct view of the Lujiazui 'Three-Piece Suit' skyline, including the Bund and the Oriental Pearl Tower – the entire panorama was right before my eyes. Although the hotel has been around for a while, it's still very well-maintained. The breakfast selection was extensive. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay.

wangying_0418The European Baroque style is grand, and even the basic rooms are spacious at over 70 sqm, featuring a 2.2-meter king-size bed, a balcony, and a well-designed layout that makes for a very comfortable stay. The service is warm and friendly, breakfast and the buffet are plentiful, and the pool is beautiful. It's suitable for both families with children and business travelers. The downsides are that some facilities are a bit dated since the hotel has been open for several years, the location is a bit out in the suburbs and far from the subway, a few rooms occasionally have some minor cleaning issues in corners, and the underground parking entrance is a bit narrow.

Guest UserI stayed at the Regent Shanghai Pudong for two days with my partner. I was quite apprehensive at first because the hotel is pretty old, and I'd seen a lot of negative reviews on social media. However, since I love the Regent brand, I decided to give it a try.
Turns out, the stay actually met my expectations! The front desk staff kindly upgraded our room. The executive lounge, restaurant, concierge, and other staff members were all very professional and attentive.
Yesterday, before heading to Disneyland, I asked Sheldon, the front desk manager, for a blanket to use in the car for sun protection, but they didn't have a suitable one. When we checked out, Sheldon specially gave us a farewell gift and asked about our stay.
The Guest Relations Specialist, Stella, was also very dedicated and meticulous. She promptly responded to all our requests and provided assistance – excellent job!
The housekeeping staff did an outstanding job, very thorough. They even tidied up the room again during the turndown service in the evening.
The only minor complaint was that the breakfast hostess on the first floor asked us about our drinks order and then forgot about us. We had to ask again to finally get our tea.
Overall, I would still choose to stay at Regent hotels for future trips.

This appears to be an older hotel though maintenance was done to keep things running and clean. It is in a good location in the city for our planned activities. There was ease of access and I liked that the facility had laundry self service available on site 24 hours per day. The laundry access was the most important because I traveled light and I went in August when it was the hottest and most humid time in Shanghai. Staff were professional and greeter at the door helped with opening and closing car doors and getting luggage out of car. Hotel lobby was well lit and spacious and comfortable. My parents with my sisters got a room with a broken bathroom door and non-working phone. Once staff were informed, they were quick to move them to a different room. Unfortunately I did not have enough time to fully explore the hotel and utilize the gym and swimming pool.
The hotel room I had was comfortable with everything working. It was well lit and the AC system functioned very well.
The only thing I did not like was the smoke smell in the hallways.
Smoking cigarettes is a huge problem in China and of course the hotel has no control over this. However they can implement better air filtration and cleaning systems as many travelers may be asthmatic or have strong allergic sensitivity to the smoke particles.
