"First, they don't hv a common balcony or passage to cherish the excellent view of mt. Kanchanjungha. So if u book a non view room lk me then it can be a disaster. Second there is no power back up. The entire night from 12 at night to 6. 30 in morning we spend in black. As we were slpng, and it's raining we managed the night. Lastly my room was a kind of shabby. But their chinese food was awesome and their hospitality was mind blowing. They were polite too."

Great hotel situated in a peaceful location about 20 minutes walk downhill/ 5 minutes cab from MG Road area. Options for mountain view rooms with balcony for calming views. The staff are really attentive and welcoming. Has a pool and outdoor dining area.
On the minus side … bathroom shower curtains need a good clean and towels + bed sheets could also be cleaner

Well appointed rooms, courteous and helpful staff. In close proximity to MG Marg via stairs.
Recommended as a value for money option.
Buffet breakfast is ok. However, ala-cartè prices are steep.

It was an ok experience. The hotel is a little run down in parts. Service at the dinner rooms were not always the best. The staff are not really bothered and would not give the menu quickly for instance. The room was nice but again it was not in the main block.. there was something missing in the hotels experience. The free evening tea and snack was awful. Yea was made terribly and the snack was tasteless. There are better evening tea service in places with yum snacks. This was plain simple boring and stingy at giving good food.
Personally I would not stay here again.

We stayed at this hotel two years ago and recently returned. While we still had a good overall experience, it seems the management may have changed. Back then, the property had beautiful traditional Sikkimese-style tents that gave it a unique charm and character.
Unfortunately, it now feels like the hotel is being modernized, and it has lost a bit of that special atmosphere that made it stand out. That said, the rest of the stay was still pleasant, with good service and comfort.
Overall, still a nice place—but we do miss the original charm.

Nice stay in Sparrow Cherry. The location is perfect, near MG Road and quietly located. Very friendly staff, the dinner was delicious. The room may use a lick paint, everything works well and is OK, only you see the hotel is older. Sometimes it's a little chaotic, starting times of the buffet change and if you can eat is Dr. nothing yet. But that is also a little bit of India ;-). Buffets are not very extensive, but everything there is good and delicious.

The rooms are nicely done, a hygienic washroom with hot water availability. The restaurant serves nepalese, ******* and italian cuisine which is mouthwatering and 5 stars to the chef. Special mention for the staff, it was an experience i would want to come back to and would recommend viewers also to experience india mandala

1. Spacious room n bathroom with very comfortable bed
2. View from balcony is SUPERB ( room 303)
3. Hot Shower (Really Hot)
4. Kettle in room
5. Location is superb. Walking distance to MG Marg.
To get to this hotel, from Hungry Jack Hotel, use stair case downward to the Mosque.. until end and turn left.
