Nice hotel. Overall experience is great! Check in was fast Room well maintained and clean. Very luxurious pool available but to bad on the day we stayed they have birthday event next to the swimming pool so very noisy and not comfortable. A great place for business or leisure stay as the hotel in the city center of Surabaya next to big Shopping Mall International style breakfast offers plenty of food selection. Chef are well trained. Indonesian specialties are a must try Room cleaner staff and the door man very helpful and well trained I would highly recommend this hotel if your visiting Surabaya Indonesia

The hotel has a clean feel, staffs are efficient, friendly and helpful! We had Stephenjen check us in and was so helpful with our early check in and also sound us out about our booking as we had double booked by mistake; the Grand Kitchen breakfast had quite a nice selection of food for breakfast. The staffs were really friendly, efficient and hardworking! Special shout out to Ms Citra, who made us feel welcomed, Tri and Randi who were helpful and hardworking! Thank you for these lovely people who reflect the people and culture here - kind, respectful and service oriented.

Was lucky enough to be upgraded to Executive Club for my 14 night stay and must admit we made the most of it. Breakfast cooked to order, afternoon tea, 6pm wine and great choice of cooked eats, cheese, cakes/puddings etc which meant we didn't need to go for dinner. Room was good with modern tv with lots of channels and enabling smartview from mobile/tablet (internet was strong throughout hotel). Bathroom was great with fantastic showers and a bathtub which filled quickly. Bed was huge and comfortable, blackout curtains and subtle lighting to enable sleep at any time and aircon worked perfectly and quietly. 3 restaurants on site for the odd night we fancied straying from the executive lounge. Restaurants were a little expensive perhaps but it's a 5 star hotel so to be expected. Pros: Good rooms, strong internet, great showers, Executive Club - OUTSTANDING staff/customer service in all areas of hotel and unbelievably charming staff. Cons: Desperados bar in the basement had good live music but was very disappointing (best avoided unless you are in a group).

The check-in lobby is on the top floor while the lower lobby is only for drop-offs. Didn't expect anything because I ordered the lowest room, apparently at check-in I was told that my room was double-upgraded from superior (44 m2) to executive (81 m2). If the superior type is just an ordinary room without a pantry, the executive type has a complete kitchen and equipment. The room is very spacious consisting of 4 rooms, consist of the bedroom, bathroom, living and dining room, and kitchen. The rooms smells good and there is no damp smell at all. All equipment works fine For the living room there is a dining table equipped with 3 chairs, a long sofa and a small sofa with a large TV. The kitchen has a washing machine, oven, zinc, refrigerator, electric stove, coffee machine, toaster, kettle, rice cooker. Very complete and still looks all shiny. Tableware includes spoons, forks, chopsticks, knives, ladle, scissors, corkscrews, bowls, teapots, cething, plates, various glasses and mugs, pans. For bottled mineral water, 2 bottles of 600 ml are provided, coffee uses excelso coffee capsules, tea uses the Dilmah brand. Kitchen amenities are also very complete, namely sunlight and sponges, plus liquid soap is also provided for washing. So oakwood is perfect for those who long-stay or gather in parties with friends The bedroom is also quite spacious, equipped with a cupboard, desk, work desk and chair. Adequate sized TV with digital viewing and wifi also runs smoothly. There are also many room sockets so you don't get confused if you bring lots of electronic equipment. The soft mattress is great for sleeping with 4 regular pillows and 2 decorative pillows. For the anniversary set, they are given a large slice of cake with an art towel. The bathroom is equipped with a bathtub, shower and rain shower, closet and sink. Towels are provided 2 bath towels and hand towels. Complete amenities for Budi Jaya production. The bathtub has clear water and fills up quickly, anti-drama. Swimming pool, fitness and spa facilities are available on the F floor. The swimming pool is indoor and a bit dark, forget whether there is a children's pool or not. Complete fitness equipment, the brand is life fitness, each treadmill is also provided with its own TV. Breakfast at Oakwood starts at 06.00-10.00. The taste is quite suitable on my tongue and the variant are considered complete. Breakfast conditions are also crowded 1. Waffles and Pancakes 2. Indonesian Corner (Yellow rice, beans, noodles, fried chicken, Rawon) 3. Madura porridge (pearls, marrow, grendul, pandan, green beans) 4. Beverage (Coffee and tea, herbal medicine, infused water, juice (orange and guava)) 5. Indomie Corner 6. Traditional snacks, pudding, rounds 7. Bakery Pastry (Croissant, Danish, bread, muffin, Sandwich) 8. Salad and fruit, Bircher muesli, yoghurt 9. Fried rice, fried noodles, vegetables, curry chicken, fish 10. I stayed in Heritage studio room 58. The ambience of hotel gives you a feeling like you are Royalty and stay in this Heritage hotel with a history of Indonesia’s freedom era takes you back to the old times. It’s better to stay in Hotels like these which are historic yet have every modern gadgets in the rooms. It’s an experience which can’t be described in words. The Garden outside your rooms and a tea/ coffee in morning sitting in the bench in Garden makes life pause. There are many hotels in the vicinity but they are all standard hotels like Double Tree, Four Points Sheraton which are Urban new age hotels but very corporate types. It’s ok to break out sometime to explore hidden gems like these. Coming to Surabaya and not staying in Hotel Majapahit is a crime. Smooth check in and check out process. Very courteous house keeping staff, concierge and reception. From the maintenance standpoint doesn’t look a bit like it’s 100+ years old construction. Maintained so well and the furniture in the room gives you the vibes of history yet are so artistic. Do explore this extra ordinary Hotel in middle of a bustling street. A stroll in the night will boost up your mood. 100% staying in this hotel again whenever I come to Surabaya.
Plataran Bromo

It should be the ceiling of the hotel near Bromo. There seems to be a branch in Ubud, Bali. Facilities: The room size is completely adequate. The triple room will not be crowded, and there is also a living room outside the room, which is very convenient. There is no air conditioning, which should be normal for hotels near bromo. It may be a bit hot at noon. There is even a pool table in the public area of the hotel, and there are also bicycles available for free use at the front desk. Hygiene: Very clean and in line with the standards of a star hotel. There are toiletries, towels, bathrobes, and slippers provided per person in the room, which should be considered rare near Bromo. Environment: The hotel has a unique environment. The architectural style and arrangement are very unique. There are a lot of plants in the public area and they are very well maintained. Service: The staff service is very good. We arrived at the hotel after 11 o'clock, and the front desk was still responsible for checking in and introducing us, and brought us to the room. The hotel can book airport transfers and volcano day tours. We went directly from Surabaya to the hotel, then to Bromo, and then to Surabaya Airport to fly to Bali. Overall, the hotel is very unique and a good hotel. I will stay here again if I have the opportunity. The only drawback is that there are relatively few types of breakfast.
