What Is the Vietnam Arrival Card?

Vietnam Arrival Card [2025] | Trip.com

The Vietnam Arrival Card, officially called the NA1 Form, is a free entry‑exit declaration document required for nearly all foreign nationals arriving in Vietnam by air.

It collects personal, travel, accommodation, and basic customs information for immigration verification, and acts as a supporting document—not a travel authorization—to complete airport entry procedures.

All foreign travelers arriving in Vietnam via international airports must complete the NA1 Form, with specific rules for Indian citizens and other English‑speaking visitors.

  • Indian Citizens: Mandatory for all air arrivals, including those visiting Phu Quoc Island under Vietnam’s 30‑day visa‑free policy. Exempt only for airside transit (no immigration clearance) or entry by land/sea.
  • Other English‑Speaking Travelers (UK, EU, US, Australia, Canada): Mandatory for air entry, even if eligible for Vietnam’s visa‑exemption scheme.
  • General Exemptions: Vietnamese citizens, holders of a valid Vietnam residence permit, and same‑day airside transit passengers who do not pass through immigration.

The digital NA1 Form is valid for just 7 days after submission, so timing your application carefully will avoid delays or expired forms.

  • Best time to apply: 2–3 days before your flight to Vietnam
  • Latest recommended time: At least 4 hours before boarding
  • Last‑resort option: On‑site digital kiosks at Vietnamese international airports (adds 20–40 minutes to processing)
Physical paper forms are rarely provided on flights anymore, so online submission is the standard and most efficient choice.

This is a great, smaller hotel. The rooms are very large and the beds are comfortable. The staff are super friendly. Taxis or Grabs are easy to get from here and there is a casino, cafe and bar on the premises. There is an ATM and a mini mart next door and a pharmacy the other way. A great location. I’ll be back to stay again!

Overall, a very good experience, especially the location. It's very central and incredibly convenient. Breakfast was excellent, with both Vietnamese specialties and a variety of Western options. As an established five-star hotel, the service and English proficiency of the staff were superb. My only gripe is that the housekeeping wasn't quite up to par. I stayed for six nights, and they hardly replenished the shower caps – I only got one for the entire stay! Also, the conditioner wasn't refilled after the first day; it was never topped up. In short, the room cleaning and replenishment services didn't meet five-star standards, failing even the most basic resupply needs.

After staying at the Windsor Hotel before, I was impressed by the great service and convenient location. So, I booked another night before heading back home. The front desk kindly upgraded me to a suite for free, which definitely met my expectations. On the night of my stay, I grabbed some fish ball and wonton noodles, fish maw, and milk tea at the nearby Wah Sing Cafe – it was delicious!

The hotel is located in the heart of Ho Chi Minh City, offering great convenience. It's right in the bustling commercial district, with the Opera House, Independence Palace, and Ho Chi Minh Square all within close proximity. It's an established five-star hotel; while the facilities are a bit dated, they are well-maintained, and the bed is very comfortable! I specifically requested a high floor, so the noise from motorbikes wasn't much of an issue. The Saigon River is right outside the window, and the area has developed quite rapidly in recent years. The front desk service was okay; their Chinese wasn't very fluent, but their English was good, and they proactively helped me arrange a taxi. All in all, it was decent.

Quite satisfied with this hotel. The facilities are excellent, and the service is outstanding—everyone I encountered had a smile. The breakfast was good and very plentiful. The pool is also great for photos, though the gym is relatively basic. The location is convenient for getting around. Overall, a very pleasant two-night stay.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Perfect location, amazing staff! Great hotel in a very strategic location—it was so easy to get around the city from here. A special shout-out to Emelyn at the front desk. When I was late for my reservation at the Blank Lounge in Landmark 81, she helped me called them to verify and hold my booking, although Blank Lounge refused and asked me to walk in reserve again. That kind of service is priceless! The room was clean and comfortable. Would definitely stay again for the convenience and the wonderful staff.

The bathroom had an unpleasant smell( musty smell), likely from the water system, and ventilation only runs on the hotel’s schedule, so the odor often lingered. The shower is inside a high bathtub with no separate shower area, making it inconvenient and potentially unsafe—especially for elderly guests.

This hotel beautifully blends French charm with a poetic riverside setting, offering a stay that combines historical depth with modern comfort. Our room boasted lovely views of the Saigon River. Strategically located in the heart of District 1, the hotel is within walking distance of popular attractions like the Opera House, City Hall, and Ben Thanh Market. With an abundance of dining and shopping options nearby, getting around is incredibly convenient. Breakfast was a highlight, featuring a lavish spread including made-to-order French sandwiches and pho. We particularly enjoyed dining in the open-air restaurant, savoring the views as we ate. The guest rooms exude a French aesthetic, with wooden furniture adding a touch of vintage elegance. The bedding was soft and comfortable, and the room offered good soundproofing. The service was excellent. The staff were warm and friendly, and their English was fluent. The 24-hour front desk was always available to assist, and the luggage storage service was a great convenience.

Alagon Saigon Hotel offers a comfortable stay right in the heart of Ho Chi Minh City. The location is one of its biggest strengths—close to Ben Thanh Market, major landmarks, and plenty of food options. It’s easy to walk around and explore the city from here. The rooms are decent and reasonably clean, though some areas feel a bit dated and could use a refresh. Service is generally warm and helpful, especially at the front desk. The hotel’s rooftop area is a nice bonus, with a relaxing vibe and a lovely view of the city skyline. Breakfast is average—enough variety to get you started for the day, but not particularly memorable. Overall, Alagon Saigon Hotel is a solid choice if you’re looking for convenience, friendly staff, and good value. Not perfect, but comfortable enough for a short stay in the city.

The moment the car pulled into the hotel's entrance, there was an immediate sense of spaciousness and escape from the hustle and bustle. The Japanese-style service and management were impeccable. The room was squarish and bright, with a serene and quiet high school campus visible outside the window. The hotel also offers a shuttle service to the city center, and the service was just as professional and thoughtful. There's also a convenient entrance to a mall downstairs.

Perfect for families traveling with elderly and children, especially those needing three bedrooms! The photos don't quite capture it, but the three rooms are really well-laid out [crying-laughing emoji]. **Context**: When we travel, my dad snores really loudly, so it's best for him to have his own room so everyone can get a good night's sleep. **Highlights**: All three rooms are perfectly square, there are two bathrooms, and a huge dining room + sofa 🛋️. It exceeded my expectations! The price was also very reasonable. It's essentially a serviced apartment. Sleeping and resting were excellent. There's also an induction cooker, though we didn't use it. If you're staying long-term, I remember there's a large supermarket nearby. **Notes 📝**: It is a bit far from the city center, but the comfort makes up for it. There are indeed a lot of Koreans at the hotel, but that's true for all of Ho Chi Minh City. Before going, I was worried about safety and if it would be too out of the way, but after staying there, I feel it's perfectly fine.

I finding everything was great be it the location, staff friendliness, room & bed quality. Only one main thing I dislike is the soundproofing, is like almost none and it can be frustrated early in the morning 6am where the other room guests came out which I think there's a family occupying few rooms at same level, then they are talking across the corridor and the door closing sound is loud.

The hotel has an American style, with rather vintage furniture and bathrooms. Its location is excellent, making it convenient to go anywhere. As an old-brand five-star hotel, it guarantees basic hygiene and service. However, it's not recommended for travelers with high expectations for hotels. On the other hand, the breakfast here is fantastic; the restaurant is spacious with a wide variety of options. During my Christmas stay, they even had Santa-themed dishes, and the French bread at breakfast was delicious. Overall, it's a hotel with great value for money.

This is a hotel of contradictions. The facade is impressive. It's centrally located in District 1 near restaurants, shops and the Western quarter. The buffet breakfast selection is pleasing. The room size is generous. Staff are friendly and helpful. There's a forward thinking eco-friendly policy which clearly implemented throughout the hotel. However, the hotel is let down by some of its facilities. For example, in the bathroom a spa has been placed under a shower head so that when you shower the water runs down the wall and floods across the bathroom floor from one side to the other and in front of the hand basin. The hot and cold water taps turn on in opposite directions and the cold tap is not fitted properly which causes it to move. My children were unable to turn the shower on or off without adult help. The shower head is also too low and my 6 foot husband had to crouch down to shower. Another problem area is the rooftop pool area. The clear rooptop pool perimeter fence is woefully too low. I watched a child climb out of the pool to the ledge between the pool and the perimeter fence and I was very worried for his safety. One wrong slip or stumble and there's nothing stopping the child from toppling over the edge and 11 floors down. This hotel has a lot going for it but also has further room for improvement.

This place is hard to find even to some locals, and its especially hard for foreigners to come by for the first time. It's a newly building with security at the lobby, and there are shops and restaurants near by which is convenient. However; there is hardly a management of this property, we booked for 4days 3 nights and there were only 4 bottles in total and we had no respond when we required for more water bottles.(good thing is shops are close by.) Secondly, we also had no respond when we requied of house cleaning, we found and killed Cockroaches everyday. Last but not least, the third night of stay hot water running out, I had to take a cold shower. I don't mind taking cold showers in Vietnam's current weather, its just i didnt have an option of hot water makes this stay less worthy. There are also some pros of this property, the views are good, you get to see the landmark 81 building right outside the window, and some parts of river view. Besides the views, they use good quality bedding appliances (mattresses are great) and electrical appliances(dryer in your closet, you get to hang your wet clothes, sanitize and dry them). Overall, I would come back and live here if the management can starting to catch up.

A magical place away from civilization! For peace and quiet! The mineral water is magical! On weekdays there are very few people, both in the hotel and in the park. It feels like you are alone there! Incredible relaxation! The hotel is huge, conducive to walks, but there are also electric cars that will take you wherever you need. The breakfasts are top notch! Everything is super! Lunches and dinners from the menu - very tasty? But a bit expensive... Minus: far from everything, no ATM, shops - stalls with small items. This is not enough for a long stay. Well priced and very well situated in a safe and western-friendly location.  I will absolutely stay here again.  And I did. For another week!! Conveniently located a 5 min walk from Bui Vien Street which is famous for its nightlife. There is a nice-looking McDonald’s about a 10 min walk from the hotel. A little further down from the McDonald’s is Ben Thanh Market. The breakfast spread looked sufficient (I had a peek) but I opted to have breakfast at the various cafes around such as L’Usine, Tonkin Specialty Coffee, Roots and The Melbourne Cafe. Definitely take a Grab Bike everywhere even if you’re in a group; it’s cheap, and much quicker than taking a car due to traffic. The pool is long and has a playroom for kids next to it. We did not have a perfect experience from this stay at Somerset HCM hence no full marks. Apartment - we were allocated a non-ideal ground floor 2 bedroom apartment facing the swimming pool, we requested for a change of room at the point of check in but were denied repeatedly. There was a pool party at the pool with a high noise level. We made a complaint, the reception then offered a room change for the next day but we declined having already unpacked & settled in. There is no pool view as we had to close the curtains throughout the stay for privacy reasons. The TV in the master bedroom was not working at all, we made a request, they repaired the TV after a long time on the second night but it was spoilt again. We gave up & did not made another request. The TV should have been checked that it is in order before allowing guests to check in. Other than these 2 negative points, the apartment was simply great. The kitchen was clean and well equipped with a washing machine, microwave and conventional ovens, crockery & kitchen utensils. The 2 bedrooms and bathrooms were clean and well equipped too. Housekeeping is great, apartment was cleaned and refreshed well daily. Location is fine. It may not be that convenient to shopping, food & places of interest but it is not a problem at all in HCM as it is so easy and affordable to take a Grab to anywhere. For info, we stayed 3 nights and paid higher than average rates for this 2 bedroom apartment.

1.Location: This hotel locate at a very good place. You can just walk by foot to many tourist attractions. And there are many brilliant restaurants nearby.(Except Lebanhmi) 2.Service: The hotel guy will help you to pick up the luggages. And their service is very good that should make you very comfortable. 3.Room: I really don’t care about the size of the room. But the soundproofing is REALLY REALLY TERRIBLE. I stayed in hotel for three days. Every night, may be around 1:00-3:00AM. I can hear very clearly about the big bang sound outside for someone opening the door or their talking voice. That really made me very nervous. I suggest the hotel can consider about changing the soundproof materials of the door. If they can improve this concept, I may rebook for next trip in Saigon.
