The WORST hostel I've ever stayed in. If you read positive comments they must be fake 100%! I spoke with other people during my road trip up to the east coast and everyone told me the same: this hostel is a nightmare, dirty, full of cockroaches and people that enter and go whenever they want in the room even if they are not from that room. The hostel itself is disgustingly dirty. Flies and pigeons in the kitchen, the entire room was dirty including cockroaches, sand, hairs and you can tell that people live there because every single space of the room is taken by their bags scattered around/clothes etc. Bed sheets were disgustingly dirty/full of sand, bathrooms don't look like they've ever been cleaned. I chose a 10 female dorm and at some point a girl that was surely living there brought one of the guy of the hostel in the room and they started to have s** with no problems and without caring of the other people in there and PLUS in the morning I went to the toilet (inside the room) and the guy opened the door… luckily I was already dressed, but this shouldn’t happen. And then he just ran away and went to hide in the in the girl bed as if I didn’t see him… Would definitely NOT recommend to stay there.

I've stayed Down Under before and it was horrible so I switched to this one. When I got to the hotel, it felt like a resort in comparison. Individual private beds, decks, pools/jacuzzis, etc. Not too loud, not too quiet. People here are very social. One part of my journey was a bit out of order and they left me behind. I was so pissed off and the lady at the front desk helped me to call them and help me arrange a lot of new things for the next 2 days. She even helped me book a trip to the next city I was going to soon. She works a lot and still gives me a lot of attention. I don't know how to beat this hotel.

Great location, near beaches and shopping centers. The service staff at the service center was very good, and told me in detail how to use the key several times. There is parking, but it costs $ 15. The facilities in the room are relatively old. The kitchen utensils cannot be used. There is no cutting board and the knife is blunt. A bowl was broken during the check-in. When checking out, the boss was very considerate and said no compensation was required. Overall it is ok

I would have really oved to give this accomodation a better review, but I need to settle for an 'Average' rating ths time, as it falls just a bit short from having a true claim to the 'luxury' accomodation that we we paid for and expected to stay at. Pros: - The location is unbeatable, right in the heart of Surfers Paradise. A short one-minute walk to Cavill Ave , and 5 min walk to the beach makes it incredibly convenient. - The breathtaking views from the large double balcony were the highlight of our stay. Overlooking the ocean, Surfers Paradise city, and Orchid Avenue. - The room was generously sized, providing ample space for our two families of four adults and two children. The inclusion of practical amenities like a fully equipped kitchen, fridge, microwave, and laundry facilities with washer and dryer were very handy. - The three pools, including a dedicated kids' pool, an indoor heated pool, and an adults-only area, provided a variety of options for relaxation. The large jacuzzi and sauna were a nice addition, making it an ideal spot for families or those seeking tranquility. Our kids had a lot of fun moving from pool to pool all day. - The pool bar offered a nice variety of cocktails, light snacks and refreshments which were conveneint for lazy pool days. - Check Out: Our flight was booked for the afternoon, and the reception manager alowed us to store our bags and use our key to use the pool area until it was time for us to leave for the airport. This allowed us to enjoy a few more hours being on 'holiday mode' and have access to showers etc before our trip back home. Cons: - Unfortunately, the cleanliness of our room, particularly the bathrooms, was below expected standards. Stains on the floor, near the toilet, and on the bathtub surface were noticeable and disappointing given the price! The carpet was also a bit old and worn looking. The balcony furniture was a big let down as well as it was cheap looking and in need of replacement. When investing in accommodations of this caliber, I naturally expect exceptionally higher levels of cleanliness & furnture that doesn't look like it belonsg in a council clean up. - One of the room's mattresses did not fit the base properly, causing it to move around easily. This created an unstable and uncomfortable sleeping experience. - Be prepared for longer-than-expected wait times for the elevators, especially during peak hours. Despite having 3 lifts operating at all times, exiting the building can become a time-consuming process so allow extra time if you are planning to be somewhere at a set time ie. booked tours/ dinner etc. - A concerning incident occurred during our stay when a water bottle full of water was thrown into the pool area from a high floor balcony. Although security responded promptly to investigate, it was a disconcerting experience, considering the pool area was busy and the bottle narrowly missed hitting someone. This is the second time we've stayed in one of these apartments. They are spacious and well equipped. If you like being right in amongst the Surfers Paradise atmosphere this is the place to stay. They are well priced for the luxury. A few points: There are only two keys. This worked out fine for our group of eight but did take a little coordinating. The lifts are busy especially around 10am checkout time. Leave with 10 minutes to spare in case of congestion. The apartments are kitted out with essential consumables which is great. Some spray and wipe and toilet cleaner would've been appreciated for our week long stay. We all highly recommend these apartments - close to everything with awesome views up and down the coast.
