Booked a one bedroom ocean spa apartment for 6 nights in Mid Oct 2024. Stayed on 38 floor. First impression when entering that apartment was ”great view”.
Apartment is spacious and very clean, kitchen facility has stocked with many pot & pan and utensils, can make regular meals with no issue. Also has washer & dryer too. There is a jacuzzi bathtub in the bathroom that is a bonus!
We brought food from Coles supermarket (walking distance from Q1) and made breakfast and dinner.
To get to Q1 resort from Gold Coast airtport, We brought a public transport card ”GO” from shop in airport arrival hall, took the airport bus #777 from airport (30 minutes ride) to Broadbeach, transfer to the local tram, get off at Surfers Paradise stop. Q1 resort is right across the street. The whole ride is last than 45 minutes, cost only 50 cents AUD., great deal!!
BTW, all bus & tram ride within Gold Coast area is 50 cents. So get a GO card. Just make sure you tap on and off with each ride.

I was one of the attendees for FurDU 2023 at the Crowne Plaza Gold Coast (11 - 15 May 2023), and I was very pleasantly surprised about my time at the hotel itself. Once I got to the hotel, I went to reception, took a little while to check in, the staff were very friendly and quite helpful. They explained to me some of the key features of the hotel itself, also the fact that I was one of their club members or something, and that I had free internet throughout my stay - which was a bonus - hardly ever used it though. As I walked back to the lift I checked my room number - which had a bit of significance with myself (give you a clue: the angelic number). To get to your floor, just simply tap the card on the scanner, then press the floor, only took a matter of seconds before I reached mine, and not long before I had finally let myself into my room. The room itself was absolutely beautiful, as I placed my bags down I took a quick tour of the room to see what amenities I had. The bathroom was quite spacious, a rather large shower and plenty of towels etc (which came in handy). As I'd spent a long trip getting up to the hotel I was a bit on the sweaty side, so I got a quick change of clothes, had a quick shower (make sure the door clicks all the way in - otherwise you'll end up flooding the bathroom floor which is what I ALMOST did). (There's so much positive stuff to write about the hotel - so I'll keep it short) The bed itself, quite spacious, the pillows themselves were plenty enough, I found that I got a good night's sleep, and in the morning went down had some breakfast - a great selection to choose from, be it from hot food, to pastries, cereal and even fruit and yoghurt. Relish (the restaurant) takes care of breakfast in the morning, plenty of space to sit, have as much as you want to eat for breakfast and get out again. Dinners were absolutely amazing, same spot, the staff were quite friendly, very quick to take my order (had the chicken parmi one night, the burger the next), and a beer or two to drink. The next night I went to the restaurant - I pretty much got the same spot where I sat last time, the wait staff even remembered what kind of beer I had from the night before ... now THAT'S impressive, also one aspect about service that I really enjoyed. All in all, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay with the Crowne Plaza Surfers Paradise, so much so I honestly cannot wait to return next year to experience it all over again .. In all honesty there's nothing at all I can fault the hotel for .. a full 5 * review from all aspects of the hotel, the staff, the food and beverage and everything they've got to offer. So, if you're looking for a place to stay, be it for a short trip away, or a longer vacation, depends on what you're doing, be it visiting the theme parks or the local attractions, I would, without hesitation, highly recommend your stay at the Crowne Plaza Surfer's Paradise, try and get a room with a high floor facing the beach as the views

Stayed recently during the week so no noise from Cali beach club next door. In fact perfectly quiet once balcony door was shut. But hey, your in Surfers Paradise so you can't expect absolute silence. Rooms were a bit in need of a paint but so what. It was immaculately clean, smelt lovely and was cheap as well. Bathroom amenities smelt beautiful. Big containers of shampoo and conditioner and body lotion and bath gel/ hand wash. I didn't have to use any of my own supplies except toothpaste and toothbrush. The girls on reception were extremely kind and welcoming. I would definitely stay again.

Our kids were fascinated with the 4 cartoon characters they have at the resort. We were told that they pay a visit during breakfast hours. Having missed them on two occasions, we wanted to ensure our little ones got to meet them. We were told yesterday that if you come at 8am they will be here in between till 8 30am. We woke up early beside being tired from all Dreamworld activities and made it for breakfast at 8am. Our little girls were so eager to meet them, then the staff made up lies began, they are on their way, they are at the kids club, it's busy today should be here at 9am, we kept waiting till 9 20 still nothing. Then staff at front desk advised they may not come today, hopefully tomorrow. A bunch of non caring staff just going about doing their job not caring the impact of their actions. You made my little ones Cry, Their words 'this is the worst day at a holiday over' so here you go guys wear these disappointed as a badge. This is beside the bed that we got in the room waking up with a backache each morning as it sinks like a tub overnight, it's been gulping neurofen with breakfast each morning Room 3221, yes we are still here - last day but not impressed. This resort has so much it could get right and make it perfect - it starts with caring

Most mornings I walk past the Langham Broadbeach gold coast, with my dogs and often comment, that I should stay there and see what it is like. So I bit the bullet and booked a room. And a reservation at Tang Court for lunch. From the moment we stepped out of the car, it was a superb atmosphere, and dripping with friendly service. Check-in was a breeze and we were given a full run down of the hotel. That was the only moment of regret, I didn't pack my swimsuit so couldn't get in the magnesium pool.....but I will go back for sure. Up to our to the room and it had the biggest bath, so bugger the magnesium pool. stopped by the lobby bar for a pre-lunch drink and service was quick and accurate. Then on to level 3, where we are greeted as though we are long lost friends and taken to our table. The food at Tang Court was next level and I even got a doggy bag.......so much food. Not cheap, but worth every cent and the experience. After our very long lunch it was back to the room to drop off the doggy bag and to explore the rest of the hotel. I took my glass of bubbles with me quite expecting to be told to leave it behind, but no, everyone just smiled warmly and I am sure had there been an open bottle somewhere they would have topped me up. As we are locals, I invited family down to check out the lodgings and was met with the appropriate ”ooo and aahhh!!!”. Back to the lobby bar and timed it perfectly to view the fireworks on the beach at Surfers. The bed was super comfy, great pillows and the curtains closed, made a princess sleeping paradise. Next morning it was a toss up to go to the café or the buffet breakfast. Glad we chose the buffet, $59 each and all you can eat. I definitely ate my $$$ worth. Checkout came too soon at 11am, but it was nice to have the extra hour and not the traditional 10am check-out. On checkout we of course were asked, did we have far to go home? not far I said.......about 900 metres. very pleased with our STAYCATION...........thankyou Langham, ill blow you a warm kiss as I walk past this week.

We stayed at the JW Marriott in June 2022 for a family vacation. Cons: The first night I woke every hour from the bed as it was extremely uncomfortable and hurt my back. I could feel the springs and woke up in pain. The next day they put a mattress topper on it which made it bearable but still the worst bed i have slept in in a hotel. I stripped the bed one night as my son had an accident and was disgusted to find the mattress looked old, dirty and sunken in. It really let down the whole room (which was otherwise gorgeous). I had ordered loose balloons for my Mother in laws birthday for her room upon arrival. These were just dumped in the room in a bunch and not actually untied losing the effect and making it a waste of money. Pros: The pool area is amazing, the cocktails are great and the whirl pool is warm enough to swim in even in winter! The pool with the fish was slightly cooler but I am told still heated. There are waiters that will bring your drinks to you and take your order. The sandy area is great for toddlers. Food & Drink at Chapter & Verse is amazing and the service was great. Misono is well worth a visit and was our highlight! Buffett breakfast has everything you could want however I have stayed at another Marriott hotel that allowed you to order your eggs to order. This would be a welcome addition here. All the staff were super friendly and helpful. Shout out to Robert, Georgia and Johnathan. We had connecting rooms which was awesome but the door does open outwards and take up a lot of room in the small hallway. If you are not a member of Bonvoy it is well worth joining up at the beginning of your trip. Overall it is a beautiful hotel and we would return, however the bedding situation really let it down and needs to be upgraded.

This hotel offers good value and is conveniently located near Cavill Avenue, the heart of Surfers Paradise. While the room felt a bit dated, it was still clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly, and the balcony with a lovely river view was a nice bonus.
The hotel boasts well appointed guest rooms and suites, featuring ocean or hinterland views from your private balcony. All rooms offer air conditioning, cable TV, wireless connectivity and most feature a private balcony and the option of upgrading to an ocean view room or deluxe room. Our hotel offers an on-site restaurant, Fables and our own Tales Bar. Join us for breakfast, dinner or simply an evening cocktail. We provide the ideal location for a family holiday, short break or business trip.

We booked the hotel deluxe studio for the three of us (girls) through this app, it's comes with a buffet breakfast as well. For the accommodation, location, and room it was great! The room is tidy and clean though it has few amenities (no water bottles, toothbrush and toothpaste), lucky we were able to have them. Hotel buffet breakfast served a different variety of foods and drinks. For the location, it was very convenient, it was within walking distance of the beach and Cavil Avenue.

IIce_D_8Location was great - a few minutes walk to the main part of Surfers Paradise Beach, the Cavill Avenue shopping centre is across the road, and all the restaurants, bars and clubs you ever want. Surprised me that room housekeeping wanted to clean my room at 9:15 am on a Sunday morning - a bit early, and well before the checkout time (I was already staying another night to Monday). Also found it odd that I couldn't reach the switches for the bedside lighting from the bed (physically had to get out of bed to turn them off) - but that's a room design choice not easily fixed by staff. The room was modern, clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful.
GGuest UserService: The facilities are a bit old. The deposit cannot be released in time. You need to wait for a while. Everything else is OK. It can only be OK. The main location is OK. It is convenient to go anywhere.
GGuest UserHad an upgrade from an Executive Suite to Family Suite giving more room space with views of the beach and daily room services kept our Suite fresh and clean. The Breakfast menu was always our go to and got us ready for our busy day. Thank you Novotel Surfers Paradise for always making our stay feeling like home.
GGuest UserWas staying for my brother’s wedding which was in the ballroom. The staff was super friendly and helpful and the room was amazing, the view, the furniture and the cleanliness was all top quality. I’ll definitely come back to stay here again so I can experience it outside the craziness of the wedding.
GGuest UserStaff Great, friendly welcoming and helpful. Hotel beautiful, Great Position, Great Restaurant we ate there all meals with good choices, Great Apartment, clean, large balcony with beautiful view, tranquil, restful and wonderful. The pool is fabulous we used it every day. Park the car and ride the tram, from the front of the building. Walk to central Surfers Paradise, abundance of things to do and see. Short walk to the iconic Gold Coast Beaches. We will be Back, already planning our next holiday. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
GGuest UserOn arrival it I had to look for someone to book in as nobody at the desk. Well the website promised recently upgraded accommodation. First impressions were that it must have been updated using Grandma's hand me downs. Very old and dated fittings, and a shower that only worked sometimes. The hot water sometimes didn't work at all, or it came out in spurts. We booked a room for a couple and requested bedding as such, but got into the room and had 3 single beds. Luckily the beds were on wheels and we could push 2 together. We decided to check out the bar in the main building which was nicely decorated as you would expect, but I jut don't get marketing yourself as an Irish pub but playing pop music through the speakers. It was definitely lacking atmosphere and the staff also seemed disinterested in being there.......and $19 for a beer and glass of wine was just ridiculous. They also advertise Wi-Fi but when I tried to access it you needed a login. By this point I couldn't be bothered going to chase this up, but it should have been in the rooms. The rooms did not have any form of paperwork or information at all. The room was somewhat sound proof but you could still here loud people in the bar area. No traffic was heard though and the beds were comfortable.
JJourney41290871022The hotel is in the perfect location close to public transport and a street away from the beach. Having the Surfers Paradise North light rail station right at the gate was convenient especially for my elderly mother I was staying with. The 1 Bedroom apartment we were staying in was very spacious and we had the good fortune of getting 2 balconies (one with beach view and the other part hinterland view). It was also very handy having a kitchen as we could save money by eating in. The only downside of the apartment is not having a bath ( it only had a shower). I only found out the day before that you need to request a bath at booking as not all apartments have one. The beds were super comfy but the pillows were too firm. As a side sleeper not ideal. Overall we had a fabulous stay and will definitely come back.
GGuest UserWe booked a last minute trip to QLD as we needed to use a Jetstar credit. This was the only hotel that was available for 3ppl for under $2k for 6nights during peak period. Location: It is in a good spot being only a 20min walk to Cavill and 5min to the beach. The Room: Was very spacious with a nice view from the balcony. Large bathroom and living space but that is where it ends. The rooms are not serviced and if you like one you will have to pay and also pay for more towels, toilet paper, sheets etc. The room we got said it had 1 large queen bed, we ended up getting 1 double and 1 single bed. The Kmart furniture was wobbly and unstable and had no interior design flow. The walls were all banged up with scuff marks and dints. The bathroom walls had dust all over them and patches that were not even painted. The carpet is old and smelt, so did the couch and the pillows which were once white need to go! The aircon was dirty and needed a clean and the swing function was broken and did not work. The tiles and caulking in the bathroom were mouldy and separating as it was obvious that it was poorly done. I also would have appreciated having more than 2 rolls of 1 ply toilet paper for a 6 day stay. The hotel: The reception was open and spacious offering drink and snacks for sale. Also the reception staff were helpful and friendly with each interaction. The pool looked great and was large offering a kids section and a sand pit. The downfall was that the tiles in the kids section in the pool were missing and some pavers around the pool were loose and/or missing. This could be dangerous for unsupervised children. There looks like there was a restaurant downstairs but looked shut down and out of business which is a shame! With the hotel as it is I don’t think I would recommend this place to anyone unless they do some major upgrades and change the day to day operations. This place was not worth the money.
I would have really oved to give this accomodation a better review, but I need to settle for an 'Average' rating ths time, as it falls just a bit short from having a true claim to the 'luxury' accomodation that we we paid for and expected to stay at. Pros: - The location is unbeatable, right in the heart of Surfers Paradise. A short one-minute walk to Cavill Ave , and 5 min walk to the beach makes it incredibly convenient. - The breathtaking views from the large double balcony were the highlight of our stay. Overlooking the ocean, Surfers Paradise city, and Orchid Avenue. - The room was generously sized, providing ample space for our two families of four adults and two children. The inclusion of practical amenities like a fully equipped kitchen, fridge, microwave, and laundry facilities with washer and dryer were very handy. - The three pools, including a dedicated kids' pool, an indoor heated pool, and an adults-only area, provided a variety of options for relaxation. The large jacuzzi and sauna were a nice addition, making it an ideal spot for families or those seeking tranquility. Our kids had a lot of fun moving from pool to pool all day. - The pool bar offered a nice variety of cocktails, light snacks and refreshments which were conveneint for lazy pool days. - Check Out: Our flight was booked for the afternoon, and the reception manager alowed us to store our bags and use our key to use the pool area until it was time for us to leave for the airport. This allowed us to enjoy a few more hours being on 'holiday mode' and have access to showers etc before our trip back home. Cons: - Unfortunately, the cleanliness of our room, particularly the bathrooms, was below expected standards. Stains on the floor, near the toilet, and on the bathtub surface were noticeable and disappointing given the price! The carpet was also a bit old and worn looking. The balcony furniture was a big let down as well as it was cheap looking and in need of replacement. When investing in accommodations of this caliber, I naturally expect exceptionally higher levels of cleanliness & furnture that doesn't look like it belonsg in a council clean up. - One of the room's mattresses did not fit the base properly, causing it to move around easily. This created an unstable and uncomfortable sleeping experience. - Be prepared for longer-than-expected wait times for the elevators, especially during peak hours. Despite having 3 lifts operating at all times, exiting the building can become a time-consuming process so allow extra time if you are planning to be somewhere at a set time ie. booked tours/ dinner etc. - A concerning incident occurred during our stay when a water bottle full of water was thrown into the pool area from a high floor balcony. Although security responded promptly to investigate, it was a disconcerting experience, considering the pool area was busy and the bottle narrowly missed hitting someone. We were also given the impression this was
MmatthewThe seas view is unbeatable . But can be cleaner .. reception closed early . Location very central and 3 min to surfer paradise . Reception was friendly though
