New Taipei City Homestays

You won’t have a lot of privacy there. Single rooms have practically zero sound insulation. There are only two toilets and two shower cubicles for the whole floor. Even though I am heavy sleeper I got no more than 6 hours of good sleep everyday. It is very loud in there, especially in the mornings. If you are on a budget it is probably pretty good option for a few nights. I stayed there for 4 nights in a row and it was definitely too much for me. To be fair I need to add that the service was extraordinary. People at the front desk were always very helpful, friendly and professional. However, the sleeping area definitely needs some improvement or they should just change their name from hotel to hostel. You can for sure find yourself something more comfortable in Taipei for the same amount of money. I did not enjoy food, I got the same plain toast with a little bit of cheese and ham everyday. On the upside there is a pretty decent restaurant just next to this place.

The housekeeper who received the stay was very kind and courteous, the hotel's equipment was also full of complete, and the living environment was comfortable. There is a food street not far from the surrounding area, which is more local than the food in Jiufen Old Street, and the price is much closer to the people!

The hotel is too old and has a strong musty smell. The chairs in the room have a strong smell of sourness because they have sponges. The so-called Bitan Lake can be seen in the room, but it is actually a stream with yellow water. The attitude of the hotel front desk is very good and friendly. In short, you get what you pay for.

You genuinely cannot beat this location. Short walk up into Jiufen town and if you book the room with the views out like we did you’ll have one of the best views in all of Jiufen. Especially at sunset it’s a real wow moment. Owners were very helpful and even upgraded us for free when we added a second night last minute so we didn’t need to change rooms. Such a nice touch from them. We didn’t have the breakfast but it looked very good. Another huge bonus was the free parking they offer which is hard to find in Jiufen if you’re driving like we were. Probably our favourite stay in Taiwan

The exterior of the building is rather uninspiring but the common rest areas of the interior are lovely and tastefully done up - see pictures. The bedroom I stayed in is described as mountain view but not too much of a view - is smallish in size but done up in a modern comfortable style. Very friendly and helpful service staff. Location maybe a challenge for some as it is a bit of a hike up to the top of the Jiufen village - I didn’t find it strenuous but I packed light. Google map works well to direct you through the warrens of shops to get there. Breakfast was so so but good enough for me

The room was great. Clean and huge! The location is so convenient, it's along the main street so our taxi could drop off and pick us up from in front of the hotel. The bus stop is also less than 1min walk away. Family mart is right around the corner and the entrance to Jiufen Old street less than 5mins away. Overall it's one of the best stay. There is no stairs in the accomodation but on Trip.com they already stated what is the floor number. I book the 4 people family room and was on the 2nd floor (just 1 flight of stairs up- bottom floor is considered 1st floor)

The location is moderate, we live in room 102, ㄧ enter the room exclamation, spacious and comfortable, beautiful planning, spare parts, white wine snacks, ㄧ cut is to satisfy the guests. The sound of waves is coming and going so that guests can relax and slow down.

Public facilities are very clean. Bathroom and toilet are clean and bright Free freshly ground coffee is provided and black tea And it’s very close to the downtown area of ​​Tamsui River. very good Only the quilt cover and pillowcase were clean, but had an oily smell.

Location is superb.. just a few min walk from the Jiu Fen Old Street bus stop. This Inn is located inside the old street, so you just step out and be on Jiu Fen Old Street! Room is really small but have everything needed. Shower head is actually like connected with washing tap (like how bidet tap is connected) but the water pressure is good. Breakfast has really decent tasty lu rou fan - free flow 😍 Recommended to stay in Jiu Fen a night to see a quiet night and morning view. Lovely Inn to stay in 😊👍

It was close to the old street of Jiufen, and the convenience store was also close, so the location was very good. In addition, I was happy for Japanese people because there was a bathtub in the room. However, a large cockroach appeared near the toilet, and after that I became afraid to use the toilet and the washbasin. I think it's been cleaned properly, and I don't think it's unavoidable for insects to appear, but I was worried about what to do if they appeared in the sleeping area. Other than that, I had a good time.
