We stayed overnight with my pug. We stayed in room 315. Our room was clean and odorless. The towels and linens were clean and fresh. The room seemed a bit dark, and the floor lamp was not working, but it was not a big deal. The TV worked well and there was a selection of channels. The toiletries were present, unopened, and smelled/felt nice. Our coffee machine was broken, and I told the desk agent as I was grabbing breakfast and he thanked me. The phone worked in our room and there was a fridge and microwave. We only used the microwave, and it worked fine. The room was quieter than I expected given its close proximity to the highway. I use a white noise machine to sleep, but even before I turned it on, we heard nothing. The desk staff were polite and helpful. They treated me with respect and care. We did not use the pool or hot tub but they looked inviting and I was glad to see they were there at all. There were some very nice items in the vending machine and there was a bell cart available. You could tell a lot of thought is going into the guest experience, even with this being a roadside hotel. The free breakfast was more than I expected, especially as they were working under COVID measures to reduce spreading germs. We were each allowed a grab and go bag that contained many cold items, including a bottle of water. And we were also allowed a microwaveable breakfast sandwich. There was a nice variety of hot coffee, teas, cocoa, etc. available in the breakfast room, so it was not a problem that our room coffee maker didn't seem to work though there were ample cups, coffee, and mix-ins. Overall, I was very pleasantly surprised at the quality and value of this modestly priced hotel!

Lovely spot just outside Ashland downtown proper (not walking distance) with gardens and a salt water pool. Rooms are well accented, with lots of closet space and good TV, and water pressure. Nice touch with cookies and scones for afternoon tea. One can take a mineral bath in the room, and indeed all the water (showers and taps) have a mineral taste (and mild smell). Bottled water is provided. Breakfast was fairly routine but nice. Plenty of parking available.

If you are going to the Shakespeare Festival, this is a perfect location. It is easily walkable to downtown Ashland and the Festival. Great restaurants and shops only a few minutes' walk away. Everyone I encountered at the front desk was friendly and helpful. There are three separate buildings, and I do think there is a difference. We stayed in Verona(?), which had its own covered parking lot. It seemed more secure than the main building, if that is a concern. (The main building rooms open up to the parking lot, and have easier access, but the building we were in had a keyed entry and rooms opened into a secured hallway.) The room was very clean and had all the basics. There is a large dining area for the free breakfast. Nothing fancy, but a wide variety of items. I have an EV, and didn't need to charge, but it was nice to know there is EV charging in the main parking lot.

The Plaza Inn & Suites has been our go-to place to book accommodation for years when we visit Ashland. Nearby, there's a beautiful creek running through Lithia Park where we love to take walks, plus terrific dining choices and great shops lining Siskiyou Blvd. And now, we're even more grateful for the service and attention we've been afforded there. Thank you; we'll be back!

The hotel itself seemed nice and had we reserved a typical room it probably would have been satisfactory but we reserved the Manhattan Suite which was clean and lovely but didn’t have the functionality that we had upgraded for. That being a separate living area from the bedroom and a bar/kitchenette. We had to buy a corkscrew to open a bottle of wine and then there were no wine glasses among the bar glasses. Given that there are vineyards all over the area it seems that wine glasses and a corkscrew would be the most basic of items to have on hand. There is a kitchenette and a dining room table but no other kitchen or bar ware were provided. The whirlpool tub and shower were wonderful and very relaxing. The bedroom doors were glass and offered no privacy. If one person wanted to nap the only way to darken the room was to close the living room curtains. So the person not napping would still be left in the dark. That is one reason why booking a suite with a separate room is worth spending the money. The dresser is not in the bedroom, it’s is near the main door on the other side of the suite. So half our clothes were in the closet and the other half across the suite in the dresser. The suite is decorated well and decor, not functionality seemed to be the priority. Breakfast was subpar. The biscuits and potatoes were hard and dry and the a portion of the grapes were rotten each day. There were Quaker oatmeal packets. And on the day they served bacon it was gone an hour before breakfast ended. We are unlikely to stay here again.

During check-in, I asked what time would the continental breakfast service begin. I was told that due to Covid, the breakfast would be basically a takeaway bag. I verified with the hotel prior to booking that a true US Continental breakfast would be included and was told yes. Upon getting to the room I did my usual room inspection for cleanliness and prior damage. I noticed hair on the top of the white duvet cover of the comforter. I pulled the comforter back and found several various lengths of hair. Disgusting. I called the check-in desk about this and requested another comforter. She immediately brought a new comforter without a duvet cover. The hairy duvet and comforter were given to her. She apologized although it was not her job to clean the rooms. So we check out and hit the road. About 20 minutes into our drive, the Front desk lady rang my phone asking, ”Did you by chance take the duvet cover from your room?” Shocked by the accusation but more so by how fast it took them to get into the room and perform an inventory of its contents, accuse us of theft and call us. This was a first and for IHG, of which I am a member, put its name on this property.
