On the House

This was my 4th visit or possibly 5th...I really like my stay here. The staff are friendly (English is tough for some) but they will do anything to help and support you. I enjoy having the possibility of meeting lots of other visitors, either during breakfast or in the evening time on the terrace. A great opportunity to meet people from other cultures. Your room has a kettle and fridge which is handy. As I'm a girl on my own, I feel very safe at this home and would recommend this accommodation for travellers who are by themselves. Close by is a small market area and very easy to get a tuk tub and close to Green Park and Haaz village. Parking for visitor is tricky as its residential area. |This would always be my choice in Delhi..
The Estate Villa

South Delhi
You will certainly find more luxurious places to check into in Delhi, if it's a star-studded hotel experience that you are looking for. However, if you can find a place that is more genuinely and warmly welcoming, I would be very, very surprised. The Estate Villa is the home that you never knew you could find away from home. If I was to use only four adjectives to describe the place, they would be: warm, welcoming, caring, hospitable. The rooms are spotlessly clean, with balconies that open onto a sunlit lawn surrounded by lush foliage on the ground floor. The decor ***ifests taste, understated, and ubiquitous, from the heirloom-resembling mirror and davenport to the wood and woven cane beds in the rooms to the polished tables and snug sofas in the common lounge and dining area, not to mention the bookshelves invitingly tucked away in a corner. If there was anything I would change, that would be the two chairs in the bedrooms, which are a touch out of harmony with the rest of the furniture and decor. But you would have to be nitpicking with a hypercritical eye to find the slightest bit out of place beyond that. All the creaturely comforts are well taken care of: hot water, air-conditioning for both summer and winter months, shower supplies, daily cleaning, and a warm breakfast spread are all a part of the package. The kitchen happily provides delectable home-style lunch and dinner on request, or you can order from the dozens of restaurants in the vicinity. Heck, you wouldn't even miss your pet here, for Sheeba is the burliest bundle of cute fluff you can hope to find. Getting to the Villa can be slightly difficult, because the locality--Sultanpur Estate--is, as Ms. Mamta Sharma, the owner, puts it, ”the best kept secret in South Delhi.” Ms. Amy, the ***ager, helps where Google Maps fails. Her location pin accompanied with clear directions will get you there without a hitch. The Villa is a tranquil oasis nestled in the heart of South Delhi, close to the Sultanpur metro station, and a short drive from the Delhi airport. Wonderful as the Estate is in its setting as well as decor, the best part of the Villa has to be the people who own and run the place. Genuinely warm hospitality is the nature of the place. Your requests are their pleasure. Ms. Mamta's taste and warmth envelops the Villa. It's never too late for Ms. Amy to offer you a solution to what you thought was an intractable issue. The home-style food is lovingly cooked and served by the chef, Mr. Naresh, and his assistants. All of them are genuinely solicitous about your comfort and well-being. If it wasn't obvious from the preceding account, let me put it across explicitly: I love the place. My partner and I have checked into the Villa thrice over the last two years and we cannot wait to be back yet again. If you are looking for a warm, hospitable bed 'n breakfast, the Estate Villa will provide you that, and a dash of happiness *****side.
Eleven Bed & Breakfast

Central Delhi
Special place run by the most amazing host! I only stayed about 8 hours - I came in incredibly tired from a delayed train trip at about 10pm & I was offered a cooked meal. I didn't want to inconvenience the staff, and I declined but I was encouraged to eat. I was grateful I felt so taken care of and it's clear that Ajay (host) is passionate about taking care of people. He then made sure I didn't overpay for my 5:30am taxi to the airport. He escorted me to the taxi and made sure I would be charged the correct amount. The neighborhood is calm, green... a true oasis. The meal I had was outstanding. I've stayed at the Leela which is a pricey 5-star hotel in the city, and Eleven is en par with outstanding customer service and care. I can't recommend it enough. You will be taking tuks tuks & Uber to get around most likely - this place from what I saw is well located to see all the major tourist attractions of the city. If Eleven is available, it's a no-brainer. Book it!
