Cornerstone Bed and Breakfast
4.9/558 Reviews
We had a delightful stay at Cornerstone Bed and Breakfast. The house is so cozy and beautiful, our room was immaculate and super comfy, (that mattress! The pillowcases!), and breakfast was delicious, with the smell of French toast luring us down the stairs to the dining table. Brian was such a lovely host! He was kind, attentive, helpful, and even offered us some of the warm brownies he had just gotten out of the oven one evening. We had our tarot cards read on the front porch by a kind, young lady and it was a fun experience. Cornerstone is a special place and, for us, was a perfect introduction to Philadelphia.

Friendly staff, clean room... contemporary design in the room, but the bathroom felt a little dated to me. Nicely decorated, but definitely saw clues of where the building and room was on the older side... for example, we had 4 ppl staying in the room, but there was no place to hang used bath towels in the bathroom... so we hung towels in the closet on hangers. Weird right? The hotel was generally nice, but a few quirks kinda got under my skin. First, we did self parking and while there is a garage in the building (convenient) the signage for where to park is vague at best. Eventually we found an employee who told us we could park on the first floor (closest to street) - but in spots marked as ”reserved”... of course this happened after we drove all the way to the bottom of the garage, looking for ”Westin guests park here” signs. Secondly, we were there on a long weekend and wanted to do some sightseeing. It was a healthy 15-20 min walk to the Reading Terminal Market (a comfortable walk around/through City Hall), and we had to drive to Chinatown. On this particular trip to Philly we didn't visit Independence Hall, but that isn't close either. Nice place, but there are definitely more convenient hotels for tourists.
DoubleTree by Hilton Philadelphia Center City
4/5131 Reviews
Philadelphia City Center
The hotel is located in the city center, with a good location. You can see the City Hall building when you go out, and the concert hall is opposite. I didn't dare to go out at night, so I just sat in the lobby and watched the hustle and bustle of people. The hygiene of foreign hotels is OK, but the facilities and services are still far behind those of domestic hotels of the same level.
Fairfield Inn Philadelphia Airport

We truly enjoyed this hotel. It was conveniently located near shopping areas. Rachel at the front desk is amazing and provides excellent customer service. The environment was clean and the breakfast provided good offerings. The breakfast attendant, Dre is truly an asset to the environment.
