My overall experience during the stay had its pros and cons. First, let's talk about the downsides. The hotel's elevators are a bit small, and there are only three of them. During peak check-in and check-out times, you really need a lot of patience, as you often have to wait for a while. The room has a split air conditioning unit, but its cooling performance was just average. For someone who gets hot easily, it might not feel cool enough at night, which slightly detracts from the comfort. However! The absolute highlight and most surprising aspect of this stay was definitely the hotel's hot spring ♨️. I happened to visit on a misty day, and soaking in the hot spring while being surrounded by fog created an incredible atmosphere – it was super relaxing and therapeutic. At that moment, I truly felt like I had made the right choice. Because of this amazing hot spring experience, the earlier minor drawbacks were greatly overshadowed. Overall, if your trip to Jiaoxi is primarily for hot springs and relaxation, this place is definitely worth considering. But if you're coming for the hardware and high comfort level typically expected from a 4-star hotel, you might need to slightly adjust your expectations. #JiaoxiKilin #JiaoxiHotSpring #JiaoxiAccommodation #YilanAccommodation #HotSpringTrip #RelaxingTravel

We are highly impressed with the hotel. From the moment we arrived at the hotel till the end of our stay, we felt warm hospitality from every staff. We have originally booked a superior twin bed room and when they saw us with our child, they upgraded us to a family suite and they made sure our son got all the amenities such as a child's Yukata and his own toiletries. USome of the perks of staying here is there is happy hour every day with free flow of wines plus you will also enjoy the facilities at their sister hotel Just Sleep next door for eg. Kids zone and their indoor public hot spring. All in all more than 5 ⭐🌟✨✨, my son told me if we ever come back to Taiwan, please stay at this hotel again!

Both dinner and breakfast were excellent! The hotel offers a wide range of facilities, including a swimming pool, separate nude hot spring baths, foot bath pools, and public hot spring pools. Late-night snacks came with complimentary drinks, and we opted for two glasses of wine, which was a lovely touch. The service was exceptional! We were even able to arrange for a cake to be delivered in advance, and the front desk kindly accepted it for us. Highly recommended for friends looking to celebrate a birthday!

A famous hot spring hotel in Zhiben Hot Spring District, it has a beautiful environment and is large, with many hot spring pools for you to soak in. The room was clean and tidy, and the breakfast buffet was quite rich. It is also convenient to buy drinks and snacks near 7-11.

The room and bathtub were both very spacious, and the environment was clean and tidy. There's parking available for both cars and scooters. Staying on the 8th floor, the view from the floor-to-ceiling windows would probably be beautiful on a clear day, allowing you to enjoy the scenery right from bed. It's just a shame it was rainy when I visited. Overall, it was a great experience! I didn't hear any noise from other rooms or the sound of water running, so the soundproofing is excellent!

Most beautiful view I’ve ever had from a hotel room. Amazing buffet for breakfast/brunch and dinner. Hotel amenities are 11/10 - hotel provides daily bus ticket, map of the area, pillow choices, bike rental services, pool, public baths, and game area. Hotel is a conveniently a stop on the bus route. Gym is a bit lacking though (only yoga mats, treadmills, weights up to ~25kg, and one lat pulldown machine).

We weren't informed before check-in that the public hot spring bath was undergoing maintenance. To make matters worse, the maintenance schedule posted on-site didn't even match the actual situation, which was a real letdown. The complimentary bicycles were quite old and dilapidated, a slight minus. However, guests could sign up for the mochi pounding activity, and a buffet dinner was also available for an additional charge. These two aspects were quite good and added some positive points back.

Conveniently located near Jiaoxi Station, just a 10-minute walk away. The bohemian-style decor gives it a wonderful resort vibe. The in-room bathtub is huge, easily accommodating a family of three, four, or even five people! 😂 The air conditioning works great, keeping the room cool. For breakfast, they provide vouchers for you to enjoy a meal at the nearby Mos Burger. The self-service drinks, coffee, and snacks available in the lobby are a nice touch. However, during our stay, the 6th-floor toy room and foot bath were under maintenance, so we could only take pictures. Overall, it's a great family-friendly hotel. 👍 The surrounding area near Tangweigou is also very lively, and with a 7-Eleven right downstairs, you'll never go hungry – super convenient! 😁

My friends and I went for a relaxing break. The overall design was incredibly thoughtful, clearly prioritizing guest comfort. The hot spring bath inside was very comfortable, and all the facilities were excellent. What really stood out was that breakfast was served until late afternoon! It was wonderful to sleep in, get fully rested, and then enjoy a leisurely meal. They even allowed us to check out first and then have breakfast afterwards. Such a great perk! 🎶

The location is a bit tricky, but the hotel offers a free shuttle service, so if you make a reservation, getting to and from the hotel is quite easy. Aside from that, as a newly built hotel, the facilities are excellent, the room condition is very clean, and the staff are all incredibly friendly. It seems there's always at least one English-speaking person at the front desk. While communication in English can be a bit challenging otherwise, the staff's extreme kindness more than makes up for it. We had a wonderful and relaxing 3-day, 2-night stay. If I had known it would be this good, I would have stayed a few more days. The weather was a bit disappointing, but since we were mainly there for the hot springs, it wasn't a big problem. For those planning to use the hot springs, you absolutely must bring a swimming cap, otherwise, you'll have to buy one there.

GGuest User1. Misleading Entrance Signage Upon arrival, we followed the signage pasted on a pillar that directed guests to a staircase entrance. However, when we reached that entrance, we were shocked to find the door marked with the sign “来宾止步” (“Guests Stop Here”). When we raised this with your staff, we were told that this entrance has not been in use since the COVID-19 period. While we understand that certain operations may have changed during the pandemic, COVID-19 restrictions have ended for more than two years. If the primary entrance has been permanently closed, why has no corrective action been taken and the misleading signage still left there? Carrying heavy luggage up and down a sloped path unnecessarily was frustrating and avoidable. 2. No Staff Assistance or Clear Signage at the New Entrance When we finally located the new entrance, there were no staff members on standby to assist us, nor was there any clear external signage indicating that this was the correct way to access the lobby. The explanation given later was that all staff were away assisting with parking which is not acceptable. At least one person should have been assigned to remain at the entrance, or the last person leaving should have arranged for another colleague to cover the position. In addition, the Operations Director mentioned that there is signage inside the new entrance directing guests to take the elevator to the lobby. However, this logic is flawed. If guests cannot locate the correct entrance in the first place, how could they possibly see a sign placed inside? 3. Poorly Trained and Unprofessional Front Desk Behavior After struggling outside, we called the number listed on Google. Only then did someone finally come out and lead us in. By that time, we were exhausted and upset. When we confronted the front desk staff about why they ignored us, despite us clearly visible outside the “来宾止步” glass door, making eye contact and knocking for help, but they claimed they “did not see us.” This excuse was clearly untrue, as we observed them looking in our direction. Even more disappointing, none of the front desk staff offered an apology even until we requested to speak to the Operations Director and asked him to review the CCTV footage. After reviewing the footage, the Operations Director confirmed that the front desk had not been alert and apologized on their behalf. However, he did not acknowledge that the front desk’s attitude and lack of sincerity were also serious problems. Being “not alert enough” and showing no sense of apology or empathy are two entirely different issues. As an international hotel, the front desk is the first impression of your service. Regardless of the quality of your facilities, this poor experience completely overshadowed the positive aspects of our stay. It also severely damages the reputation of Kagaya Group — a brand that has long been admired for its exemplary Japanese hospitality and politeness. Although we appreciate the Operations Director’s effort to make amends by offering us a meal and gifts (which we declined), it remains undeniable that this incident reflects a failure in staff training and management oversight. We hope that management will seriously review this incident, especially the issues of: - Inadequate and misleading signage at the entrance - Lack of staff presence and assistance upon guest arrival - Poor front desk awareness and unprofessional behavior We trust that Kagaya Group will uphold its proud tradition of service by addressing these problems promptly and ensuring no other guests experience such treatment in the future. Thank you for your attention.

得弟一家老小的平凡Surprises and intentions are everywhere Every staff member is working hard to protect his or her position. Provide every guest with very high-quality service attitude! Highly recommended! Originally we thought there was only a small floor area, but after the staff introduced it, we followed their route and walked around. We really felt that this trip was worthwhile! The 24-hour campus shuttle service provides barrier-free service for those who are pregnant or have mobility impairments. We brought our dog with us, and there was a rest area for the dog, which needed to be paid for by the dog. Overall, it is a highly recommended hot spring accommodation!

GGuest User👍 Great location, just a 3-5 minute walk to the MRT station. Within 500 meters, there are several convenience stores like Carrefour, FamilyMart, and 7-Eleven. The morning market is about an 8-minute walk away. In front of the hotel is Beitou Park, and the Hot Spring Museum is nearby. There are also plenty of dining options, including fast food like McDonald's, Starbucks, KFC, and Mos Burger. For getting around, you can take the MRT north to Tamsui and even catch a ferry to Bali. Heading south, you can reach Tianmu and Shilin. If you're in a hurry, a taxi to Taipei Main Station costs around NT$420-470. Getting to the airport is also convenient, with the express train taking about 40 minutes (from Taipei Main Station) and costing NT$160 per trip. Highly recommend this as a top choice for first-timers visiting the Beitou hot spring area.

TTungBest resort in Taiwan and worth every penny. Highest level of service - it’s like being at a modern luxury ryokan in Japan except everyone speaks Chinese. Room design is brilliant, and one king room fit my family of 2 adults and 2 toddlers with a California king and a separate tatami area. The room has an epic view from every angle the moment you walk in the door and includes a private outdoor onsen connected to your bathroom. I noticed many private in-room onsens in Japan are diluted down, but this was spring fed. The public onsen was huge, extremely well maintained, and included a large walled zen garden with an adjacent sauna and cold plunge. I was lucky enough to experience this area all to myself with one other guest leaving as I arrived and another guest arriving as I was leaving. In China, this onsen would have comfortably accommodated 100 bathers. The spring water is not high in sulfuric content (doesn’t smell like rotten eggs), and the temperature is relatively mild - ideal for my family. Given the limited availability of the hotel online, I was expecting it to be more crowded. I got the sense that room rates are controlled to optimize guest experience, not profit, while staff are trained to ensure that customers never feel like they are being ripped off or “sold”. It seemed there were more staff than guests on site. I originally booked 2 rooms, and some of my family members couldn’t make the trip. We didn’t need the second room, and the staff were very gracious to refund and cancel the second room on the spot. When I’m back in Taiwan or traveling to a place where Hoshinoya does business, I would not hesitate to book again and make a special journey to stay at one of their destination resorts.

AAllie LoweThought I was upgraded from 36m2 to 28m2 (happiness room to love suite), so it is on higher floor, not G/F. Just note that there are two stairs inside room for love suite (door to room, room to hot spring) so it actually feel smaller than the photos. Original plan was to have my aunt 65+ to stay. Stairs may present some difficulties to them so ask hotel before confirmation of your trip if you have elderly /small children. Pros: can listen to birds singing in the mornings while watching Mountain View. This will be one strong reason for coming back. Also, views from dining room is superb. Appreciated so much for the staff at reception who meticulously take care of my needs to order take-out. She was so kind & I hope more ladies could be in hotel to serve their clients. At this price (lowest HKD46x for basic room type) there is nothing to complain. So I would definitely consider going back in winter times. Cons: plumbing system is old coz it’s uphill. WC can only handle liquid waste. Housekeeping effort will be needed for any solid waste disposal… Noise from housekeeping (& kitchen staff sending breakfast to rooms) can disturb sleep for light sleepers. When they change buffet breakfast to room service, I went to fetch a cup for hot water. A male staff intercepted me & asked abt the cups. To assure him that I won’t take these away, just show the pic below to reception (留下三大跟三小的杯). Hope he understands that female solo travellers are common elsewhere even i looked like locals; & simply bc my travel-mate have to leave earlier than planned.

BbebeccwI am extremely satisfied with my overall experience at Hotel Royal Beitou. The hotel’s location is superb, conveniently close to the train station and various tourist attractions, making it an ideal choice for travelers. The pricing is also very reasonable, offering great value for the quality of service and amenities provided. The room was spotless and well-maintained, equipped with a wide range of facilities and amenities that catered to all my needs. The in-room toiletries, especially the shower products, were of high quality and a pleasure to use. I also appreciated the thoughtful additions such as scented candles, a sound system, a dehumidifier, and unique snacks and beverages. The only minor issue was that the TV’s internet connection was down, which prevented me from watching any programs. The service provided by the hotel staff was exceptional. They were friendly, professional, and attentive, ensuring that every aspect of my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. Upon check-in, they took the time to introduce all the room facilities in detail, which was very helpful. The breakfast offered by the hotel was delicious, with a wide variety of options to choose from, catering to different tastes and preferences. Overall, my stay at Hotel Royal Beitou was a delightful experience, thanks to its prime location, well-appointed rooms, and outstanding service. I would highly recommend this hotel to friends and would definitely consider staying here again on my next trip to Beitou for hot spring relaxation.
