When we arrived at noon, the hotel staff very kindly told us we could enjoy some free afternoon tea and coffee before heading across the street to the park for a free foot spa. They even checked us in before 4 PM. This really showcased the locals' hospitality. Our room had a private hot spring tub, and we could also enjoy the open-air hot spring on the R floor in the evening and morning. I truly believe I've fallen in love with the service at Hotel Royal Chiao Hsi, and from now on, whenever I come to Jiaoxi, I'll only stay here!

The location is excellent. Turn right out of the hotel and it's a one or two-minute walk to a bustling commercial street, and only 6 minutes on foot to the popular Yishunxuan bakery. It's convenient for getting around yet relatively quiet. The hotel exterior is grand, and the lobby offers complimentary drinks and snacks. It shares outdoor hot springs and a bathhouse with Just Sleep. The R floor has a fantastic regular-temperature swimming pool and two hot spring pools with great views.
However, I wasn't a fan of the hotel's interior design. While the guest rooms are quite spacious, the layout felt cramped and stuffy. This is because the hot spring tub is located right by the window facing outside, and to ensure privacy, lattices have been installed, making it less open and airy. There's an air purifier in the room. Breakfast is on the 11th floor; the food is decent, but all the windows are completely covered by beige mesh screens. Only a little light can get through, so you have to turn on the lights even during the day, which isn't a great experience. The service attitude was very enthusiastic. The public bathhouse is small and the facilities are average. The outdoor hot springs are suitable for kids to play in. Overall, the value for money is just average.

This time, it was a one-night stay with two meals. There were two time slots for both dinner and breakfast, which you had to choose upon check-in. If you're still hungry, there are also vending machines or a 7-Eleven (open until 10 PM).

The public hot spring is nice and the scenery is beautiful. The air is fresh, the room is quite big, the TV is very big, the service of the counter staff is good, and the dinner in the restaurant is average and satisfying. Don't ask for it, it'll be nice

The room and bathtub were both very spacious, and the environment was clean and tidy. There's parking available for both cars and scooters. Staying on the 8th floor, the view from the floor-to-ceiling windows would probably be beautiful on a clear day, allowing you to enjoy the scenery right from bed. It's just a shame it was rainy when I visited. Overall, it was a great experience! I didn't hear any noise from other rooms or the sound of water running, so the soundproofing is excellent!

The highlight of choosing the Fleur de Chine Hotel at Sun Moon Lake was the complimentary shuttle service to and from Taichung HSR station. Besides the excellent service and beautiful scenery, the hotel rooms not only have their own hot springs but there's also a public hot spring for guests to enjoy. Breakfast is served until 12 PM, and dinner includes a complimentary bottle of wine per table. The beds in the rooms are incredibly comfortable, and the mini-fridge is stocked with free drinks. In the afternoon, there's a shuttle bus service to the pier, and if you want to take the round-the-lake bus, they even provide a free one-day pass. The shuttle back to Taichung departs at 12 PM, so I regrettably didn't get a chance to visit many attractions. I'll definitely come back if I have the opportunity.

We weren't informed before check-in that the public hot spring bath was undergoing maintenance. To make matters worse, the maintenance schedule posted on-site didn't even match the actual situation, which was a real letdown. The complimentary bicycles were quite old and dilapidated, a slight minus. However, guests could sign up for the mochi pounding activity, and a buffet dinner was also available for an additional charge. These two aspects were quite good and added some positive points back.

The hotel has a parking lot, which is very convenient. It's also close to the lively areas, so food and drinks are easily accessible. Since it was a weekday, they upgraded our room, which was a nice bonus. The only downside was the poor soundproofing. In the middle of the night, there were loud noises coming from the opposite room that lasted for a long time and were very disruptive, making it hard to sleep. In the morning, you could clearly hear the cleaning staff dragging the vacuum cleaner and talking.
I was very satisfied with this hot spring hotel trip. After living in Taiwan for so long, this was my first time experiencing a hot spring with such a rich iron content. The room had a great view, though it was a bit low this time. I think the view would be even better if I could have booked a higher floor. The staff were friendly and the overall facilities were excellent. This stay left me with a wonderful memory.

The hotel staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Although the public hot spring closed quite early, each room has a private hot spring that you can use whenever you like. You can also contact the hotel in advance to arrange a complimentary shuttle service to or from the nearby bus terminal or train station. There were many excellent restaurants and farms worth visiting in the area.

KkhtravelThe hotel's interior decor is stunning, with a strong Japanese feel. The rooms are clean and spacious, featuring a private onsen and yukata. Plus, there are complimentary drinks and snacks. If you check in around 3 PM, you can enjoy a tea ceremony performance with free green tea and snacks. Breakfast offers a wide and delicious selection!
GGuest UserI found some small black debris after the water came out of the bathtub in the room. I'm not sure if it was in the pool or in the water. I still saw it after the water ran out and was replayed. The overall visual of the room was very comfortable and clean. Maybe my skin is more sensitive and I still felt a little itchy caused by dust mites, but I still slept well until dawn. It was nice to relax and have a good rest in a natural environment.
For meals, we had hotpot in the evening and breakfast in the morning. Both were average. There were not many styles but they were enough. The attitude of the service staff was very good!

GGuest UserThe room for 4 is super cozy and suitable for family to stay. We enjoy the hot spring spa in our room. Nearby location is easy to access with food and convenient stall just few shops away from hotel. Overall, nice, clean hotel with great facilities. Hotel breakfast is easy to get in Japanese, western and Taiwan’s food selection.
AAbby KuoThe room was clean and spacious, making for a very comfortable stay. The hotel is ideally located in Shuishe, a stop for the Taiwan Tourist Shuttle, offering convenient transportation while still being quiet. It's just a 10-minute walk to the Sun Moon Lake Visitor Center where you can catch the Taiwan Tourist Shuttle and the round-the-lake bus. Since there aren't many shops or food stalls in Shuishe at night, we chose a room package that included dinner. Both dinner and breakfast were buffet-style at the hotel, allowing us to relax and enjoy, offering great value for money. The in-room bathtub was perfect for a hot soak, which was very convenient. The service was excellent, and both my friend and I were very satisfied. We'd be happy to book this hotel again next time.
TTungBest resort in Taiwan and worth every penny. Highest level of service - it’s like being at a modern luxury ryokan in Japan except everyone speaks Chinese. Room design is brilliant, and one king room fit my family of 2 adults and 2 toddlers with a California king and a separate tatami area. The room has an epic view from every angle the moment you walk in the door and includes a private outdoor onsen connected to your bathroom. I noticed many private in-room onsens in Japan are diluted down, but this was spring fed. The public onsen was huge, extremely well maintained, and included a large walled zen garden with an adjacent sauna and cold plunge. I was lucky enough to experience this area all to myself with one other guest leaving as I arrived and another guest arriving as I was leaving. In China, this onsen would have comfortably accommodated 100 bathers. The spring water is not high in sulfuric content (doesn’t smell like rotten eggs), and the temperature is relatively mild - ideal for my family. Given the limited availability of the hotel online, I was expecting it to be more crowded. I got the sense that room rates are controlled to optimize guest experience, not profit, while staff are trained to ensure that customers never feel like they are being ripped off or “sold”. It seemed there were more staff than guests on site. I originally booked 2 rooms, and some of my family members couldn’t make the trip. We didn’t need the second room, and the staff were very gracious to refund and cancel the second room on the spot. When I’m back in Taiwan or traveling to a place where Hoshinoya does business, I would not hesitate to book again and make a special journey to stay at one of their destination resorts.
AAnonymous UserHotel is very clean and provided many amenities such as slippers in room and whole day complimentary snacks. Hot spring tub in the room is also very clean. Overall, enjoyed the stay in the hotel and would choose to stay in this hotel again.

GGuest UserThe hotel offers a shuttle service to and from Xinbeitou MRT Station, so we didn't have to worry about getting there, which was a big plus. It's also conveniently located near attractions like Thermal Valley and the Hot Spring Museum, both within easy walking distance. The room was clean, and breakfast was delicious!
SsorloMy family and I stayed at the Yun Estate Hotel this past December, and we had a truly lovely time. Nestled in a quiet area, the hotel offers the perfect sense of serenity and escape from the usual hustle and bustle.
The absolute highlight of our stay was undoubtedly the accommodation. The room was incredibly spacious, but the game-changer was the private in-room hot spring. It provided a relaxing and enjoyable experience for all of us, and the kids absolutely loved splashing around in the warm water.
We opted to have breakfast delivered to our room, which was a convenient and nice touch in theory. The presentation of the food was absolutely beautiful but it looked way better than it tasted, unfortunately. While the meal wasn't bad, the flavor didn't quite match the high standard of the presentation.
For the little ones, the hotel is a dream. There is a playroom where they can watch movies, as well as a mini race track where they can drive electric cars. To top it off, the unlimited supply of drinks and snacks was a huge hit with them, making the stay feel extra special.
Overall, we had a wonderful experience and are already looking forward to returning in the near future. Highly recommended for families looking for a relaxing retreat.
Rroy0338The environment was clean, facilities complete, and the in-room hot spring bath was absolutely fantastic!
This stay was very satisfying! The room was spacious, and the biggest surprise was the private, extra-large balcony with an open view. Sitting outside and enjoying the breeze was very comfortable. The hot spring tub in the room was well-designed, with a strong water flow, making for a truly enjoyable soak. The room also came equipped with a dehumidifier, which was a nice touch. For breakfast, they even had high-quality steak (a must-order!), and the meat was very tender. Overall, the hygiene was excellent, and it offered great value for money. Highly recommend it to everyone.
