Hotels With Airport pickup service in Antananarivo, Madagascar

We stayed here twice with a few days in between. Our first stay was great! The rooms are lovely, spacious and clean. The restaurant was closed but the outside bar served nice food (only 2 veggie options), though a little noisy and cold (they gave us blankets when we asked). Our second stay was awful! We had two rooms booked, but they said we only had one. We had to wait several hours in reception for this to be sorted with no apology from staff. When we came to check out, they said they hasn’t received the money from lastminute.com and asked us to pay again. I showed proof of payment, but they said they didn’t have it so wanted me to pay. I refused! They asked me to call lastminute.com to sort out the payment transfer to them. I explained that everything on my end was complete and that they could sort it out with the tour operator not me. Also on our second stay the food was terrible - the zebu fillet was completely inedible. When we told the staff they didn’t even acknowledge this problem.

We spent two nights at this hotel. Because it seemed very unsafe to leave the property. We ate all of our meals there. Most of them were good. But when we went to the sky bar for dinner, we got scammed. We asked the bartender for two glasses of a Chardonnay. He told us he did not have it by the glass. So we asked to see the wine list to see if we could order a bottle. He then checked the refrigerator at the bar and took out three bottles of white wine. One of them was Chardonnay, and the other two were Sauvignon blanc. We asked him how much the bottle of Chardonnay was he said he did not know and he checked the wine list, but it was not on the list according to him He made several phone calls and inquiries to find out how much the bottle of wine was. After about 15 minutes with no answer and the wine sitting there getting warm and us wanting to have a drink, we asked him to just go ahead and open it because we had looked at the wine list and the wines listed were mostly around $60. The wine was fine, but certainly nothing great. When we got the check, they charged us about $250 for the bottle of wine. We were stunned. We enjoy wine, but I can honestly say we have never had a bottle of wine that cost $250. Especially one that was pulled out of the refrigerator at the bar. It didn’t even come from a wine cellar. When we questioned it, another woman who I assume was a manager came over and pointed to the wine list and showed us that it was the one that was marked $1,100,000 Madagascar That equates to about $250. They had already taken the bottle away so we couldn’t even question whether that was the same bottle but either way there is certainly a question why they couldn’t find the price for the bottle that we had if it was right there on the wine list. I think they just scammed us. The rest of the hotel stay was nice the rooms were fine and the Spa technicians were really excellent Breakfast buffet was good as well. But I would never send anybody to this hotel, knowing that they feel comfortable scamming. Guests. It was an awful feeling.

The hotel is very close to the domestic airport, only a few hundred meters away, 5 minutes walk, and free shuttle bus, very convenient. On the day of check-out, the hotel shuttle sent us to the airport. After the security check, when we waited in the airport terminal, we found that the mobile phone could not be on the network, and we could not find the signal of the wifi generator I brought out of the country. This was found that the wifi generator may have been forgotten in the hotel. I was sweating so quickly, what should I do? Traveling abroad, relying on that generator to provide traffic to our mobile phones and computers. I told the security check that I had to go out to find something. I hurried from the airport to the hotel, and it took a few minutes to walk back to the hotel. The hotel receptionist saw me as soon as I entered the door, and immediately handed me a white T-shirt and white wifi generator! I am moved and happy, and I feel emotion! I remembered that the mobile phone that was forgotten in the gem stall when I visited the gem market yesterday was also sent back to my hand by the owner! The people here are really honest! Although the country is very poor, but the people's simple and honest character, gave me a deep memory!

The reception is very pleasant, nothing to say. We were installed in our room, which was, I must admit, extremely clean, with a well-equipped luxury bathroom! Too bad the view on the road is atrocious. We then went down to lunch (meals paid for by the airport) and it was frankly disgusting! Our menu was imposed and we had the impression that they had prepared the fridge funds for us... So much so that in the evening we preferred to go out to eat elsewhere even if we could have stayed at the hotel and eat free. The breakfast is also unworthy! It's not restocked so when we came down around 8:30 there were only a few bits of watermelon, broth, bread and a bit of cheese left. Very limited for a hotel of this standard, especially since the other hotel guests were entitled to the same buffet. We asked if they were going to refill and clearly that bothered the waitress. In short, for a service that we got for free, it's still fine, but it's clear that I won't pay to return to this hotel.

As a rewards member I was offered the members rate - however, after several staff members tried to help me reset the password but failed due to a system error, they refused to charge me at the members rate. Same result with customer service when I returned home to try and fix - not willing to even give points - it's as if the trip never happened ! Customer service was incredibly frustrating there was no way of tracking my original issue and every time I chatted/emailed/spoke to a new member of staff I had to start again. I have stayed with Radisson on multiple occasions but it seems that if there aren't any issues it's all fine but if you have an issue they are not interested and of little to no help. Some of the members of the customer care team were excellent but still unable to help fix this even after admitting the issue was at their end. I think I will take my business elsewhere next time - I appreciate that issues arise but it is very much how an organisation deals with the issue - and Radisson failed in a very major way. I still remain frustrated and annoyed.

But two hours for that. There were only 7 people in the restaurant. The reason given: The chef was not there. And above all, the hotel is located in a HIGH RISK place in the evening, access by 4x4 otherwise you do not arrive. Almost a kilometer of road. Really good for the price. Good WIFI, TV, safe, fridge, spacious room with extra bedding. Very good food at the restaurant. Pleasant staff. Located in the city center near the town hall, the area is not safe, like the rest of the city. Even in the middle of the day you can be robbed or attacked. There are police officers, but in places where they risk nothing, or often to direct traffic

I was traveling for work, and the first part of my trip was pretty good. The staff were friendly and helpful, and even found me a doctor when I got sick one evening. The breakfast was excellent. Wifi was pretty reliable. But it was a loud hotel. Initially there was some construction going on outside the window of my room, so even when my room got a bit stuffy it was hard to keep the window open long because of the noise. Then later in the week there were about 200 young athletes staying in the hotel and it descended into chaos. It's a really well-located hotel, and so you may still choose to stay. If you find it too loud, I recommend walking around the corner to Paradise Restaurant (actually I recommend this anyway!) the atmosphere is a peaceful buzz of excitement and the food is delicious!!

Simply wonderful. The most comfortable bed and bedding we’ve had in our 5 weeks of travel. I actually bought one of the pillows for home. The blackout curtain is velcroed to the walls, which is a really thoughtful touch. The food is delicious! The staff are amazing. So friendly and helpful. Toiletries were included and there was a hairdryer. The WiFi is strong. They had a cocktail reception for long-stay guests. I thought that was a really nice touch. All in all, the staff goes above and beyond. Erick, one of the managers, actually went with me to buy food for the people living adjacent to the hotel, and brought a few other people to crowd manage when we handed it out. They are really committed to helping their “neighbors “. The pool could have been a few degrees warmer. It was fine for my 10 yo but a little chilly for me.

The breakfast is good, the location is very good, very close to the factory, driving only 10 minutes. When you go, you will meet National Day and watch the best place for fireworks show!

Highly recommended! Ask for room 26 in the annexe. We felt quite safe going in and out as there's always someone around. Our room was large, cleaned daily, light, quiet and airy with all mod cons. Big bathroom and shower. Strong aircon. Anything we asked for, we got within 30 minutes! The restaurant was superb -- people came from outside to eat and it got quite crowded. Very pleasant breakfast rooms and a beautiful shady courtyard garden. Very central-- turn right, walk 5 minutes up the hill for the park, tourist information, taxi rank, cinema, major banks and 2 supermarkets, the city centre. Lovely friendly helpful staff -- after staying for 9 nights we felt quite tearful saying goodbye! Would love to stay there again.

I have stayed ２ times so far. Although it is an old hotel, the location is good and you can be satisfied with the hotel services such as breakfast, sports gym and spa. However, at midnight, the hotel staff had invaded with the key. At 2:30 midnight from August 19th to 20th, 2023, a male hotel staff used the key to enter the room with a woman. When I yelled, they hurried out, and for a while they were quarreling in the hallway, and then the staff called, ”I'm sorry I opened it because I thought it was an empty room.” The next day I went to the front desk to complain, but it was not reported and it seemed to be erased among the staff. So far there is no official apology from the hotel. Those who stay should put chairs or suitcases in front of the door and be careful not to physically open the door. I have stayed here twice now. On August 19-20, 2023, a male hotel staff member entered the room with a female using a duplicate key at 2:30 a.m. When I yelled at them, they left in a hurry and argued in the hallway for a while. Later, I received a phone call and stuff saying, ”I thought it was an empty room and opened it, I'm sorry.” The next day, Sunday morning I went to the front desk to complain, but it was not reported to reception and seemed to have been hushed among the staff. So far, there has been no formal apology from the hotel. Those who are staying at the hotel should be vigilant to make sure that the door cannot be physically opened by placing a chair or suitcase in front of the door.

Close to the airport, but quiet at night. Our upstairs bedroom was clean, cosy and nicely decorated, with attractive floral hangings. The bed was comfortable, plenty of hot water in the shower, the zebu we ate for dinner was the tenderest we had in Madagascar. The staff were charming. Breakfast is very basic, but adequate. Price/quality is excellent and the WiFi worked well.

I chose this because it was close to the bus of Cotisse and the price was cheap. Most staff couldn't speak English, but Very gentle and the room was clean. Tiffany, who was staying for the exam, was helpful to communicate in English.

I highly recommend the K.Meleon. The staff were fabulous, the hotel was great, airport pickup and drop offs went like clockwork and you could purchase all necessary meals. When my flight was cancelled due to a cyclone the staff found me a room despite having a large group booked in at the time and kept in touch with the airline to sort out when my new flight would leave. Situated very close to the airport and the staff know when all the flights come and go. A huge thank you for having me stay!!!

Stayed here for two separate nights. Very convenient for Antananarivo airport (15 minutes), which is especially important when your flight has been delayed. Room was clean and had everything you need, and was the only place we stayed at in Madagascar that had powdered milk sachets in the rooms for tea. We were very glad of this as we were just so tired after our 24 hour journey that we went straight to bed without dinner. But like all Brits we were desperate for tea! So unable to rate the evening meal in the restaurant, although the breakfast buffet was excellent. Whisked off on our tour in the morning so no time to look round, really. What we saw of the grounds was pleasant and tidy and staff were helpful and friendly. Minibar fridge and hairdryer were supplied but no mosquito nets. We visited in October, though, so mosquito nets were not needed.

We stayed twice in this hotel in the suburbs of Tana: once upon our arrival from the nearby airport and once upon return after the domestic flight from Tulear and our return flight to Addis Ababa. The welcome was good and the rooms comfortable. The hot water at the sink was brown, but for the shower it was reasonable. The Bar in the basement is very cozy with its comfortable Chesterfield armchairs. The breakfast buffet is good and fried eggs were offered extra. We wanted to pay for our Bar drinks with our Visa card at reception, but the network was insufficient and we had to find cash in Ariary on the last day. Otherwise, it's a good stopover hotel.
