LOCATION -Mykonos: it´s a tiny island with some nice beaches. The prices are incribly high (sunbeds range from 40€ to 150€ per pair!). So better buy some airbeds and a parasol when you arrive :) There are some normal priced restaurants with great food in the middle of the island. Mykonos city is nice, but if you see more than 2 Cruising-ships in the harbor: avoid it - the crowds will kill you! "Agios Ioannis" The hotel is 10 minutes car drive away from mykonos city and the airport. The location is called "Agios Ioannis". There are 2 beautiful beaches in walking distance (5 minutes). No hotel-owned beach. The pool is nice, when we used it, we were alone. There are 4 restaurants in 5 minutes radius, with 2 very expensive, 1 high priced and 1 good restaurant "Vasilikos" with great food and normal prices about 50m away. There is also a small shop, where you can get your wine and some other useful stuff. HOTEL: There is no reception. Somebody was there, when we arrived and gave us the key. So it´s more a B&B. The room was clean, beautiful, with a large balcony with a sspecatular seaview. But every room is different. Breakfast was really rudimentary - a cup of coffee, some orange juice, some bread with butter, but it was brought every mornig by two very nice, smiling young people. This was wonderful, so the value of the sparse food felt much better :) Acutally we loved it. So don´t expect the "all you can eat " buffet. There is a refigerator in the room but no tea cooking facility. Except of some moscitos we had a wonderful stay OVERALL IMPRESSION: We spent 10 wonderful days in this calm location. If you don´t expect a 5 star loction with full service you´ll find a great place to relax.
