Hilton Garden Inn Gainesville

We stayed here 4 days. This is substandard compared to others in the area. Housecleaning only comes by every FIVE days, so trash piles up if you don’t take it out yourself. Pillows were completely flat, the soap scum in the tub was so thick I could write my name in it, and there was mold in the ceiling in the bathroom. When we checked out we checked under the bed to make sure we hadn’t left anything and found a pair of socks and a solo cup that clearly didn’t belong to us. The fridge was leaky unless it was cranked all the way to freezing max, and finally, found a drop of blood on the boxspring (as part of that checkout look). Blech. All this coupled with no breakfast and honestly not cheap, I will not stay here again. Pros: front desk staff are very nice. There are better options!!!
Quality Inn University

This is a very clean, safe, and friendly hotel. We were on our way to Florida and needed a place to stay for a night. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, they took time to help two elderly ladies with the waffle iron and juice machine, not the typical attitude for hotel desk staff, very refreshing. Breakfast buffet was well stocked and clean. There is a Walgreens right next door in case you need anything and only 5 minutes from I-75 north and south bound. We would recommend.
SpringHill Suites Gainesville

This hotel has two amazing employees, the first is Shirley who is the breakfast attendant and is the warmest caring person you could possibly want in that position and she cooks an awesome breakfast. The other is Manuel at the front desk who is the most genuine employee I have ever met at a Marriott property. It was truly a pleasure dealing with these two amazing people this past weekend.

Due to an sistuation with my past Ex, unaware of his double life and being a wanted fugitive in Miami Fl, i lost my apartment January 2024, my 69 year old, disabled, medically needed mother whom i solely provide care for an i came to Rodeway Inn motel located at 3459 SW Williston Road in Gainesville FL being that is priced reasonably and would be a clean safe place. First week in January we had bed bugs. Then by my mother being on a walker she/we has never since January until currently had a room to accomindate her needs, ( like ; walk in shower, rails for her lifting to get off the toilet, shower chair) we have switched and moved to 3 rooms yet each one bathroom doors do not fully close, batroom doors do not lock, light sockets/plug outlets are broken up with wires visable, gnats are terrible, when showering the water continues to rise and build up, and draining out is about an hour wait to another person shower, bathroom has black mold, shower curtains are full of slime, mold and dirt build up so bad the bottom of the shower curtains are yellow brown, June 2024 the whole motel was out of hot water for three days. And customer service one of the family owners Neshia, is so disrespectful, rude, and never check on her employees cleaning laundry buggies and cleaning carts have been left all night as well as dirty stayed in rooms have went uncleaned until th next day. This motel changes their rates daily/often and their greed for money will allow anyone no matter what they are doing illegaly stay. Lastly, the roach infestation is beyond infestation roaches all in the bathroom shower, shower curtain, toilet like is food all over the bathroom, the roaches come in from the uneven cuts where the air condition unit is, the door not measured and cut right, the holes and cracks by the base boards, food left in rooms after cleaning.
Holiday Inn Express & Suites Alachua - Gainesville Area

Check in and out was perfect. Mikayla was very pleasant and helpful checking in and offering nearby restaurants for take out as we were tired from the trip. This is my 3rd stay in a Holiday Inn Express and I honestly will never stay anywhere else on overnight stopover. Tiffany was housekeeping and was really great to bring me an extra towel. Thank you for making my stay so pleasant! Garry

I wish I had read some of the recent reviews of this hotel before I had checked in. True, this hotel is under construction and I understand that and have no issue with it. It's the way the hotel is presented on both the Marriott and the Trip Advisor website versus the reality of the dank, dark and musty rooms and the poor customer service that's so disappointing. You can fix the rooms with renovation, but you can't fix attitude with one. When getting to the front desk, no greeting, no smile, just ”last name”? Handed me my key and that was that. As a Lifetime Titanium Elite, I would have at least expected how I would like my bonus points to be be used. Not the end of the world. I asked directions to my room and she pointed and said without looking up, ”Down that hall”. Nothing else was offered or said. Again, not the end of the world, but then when you go to your room and it's so terribly dated with an odor, it all adds up. This place has a long.long way to go to measure up to the standard I've become used to in the majority of Marriott properties. And now that I have read the recent reviews of this property, before the GM responds with the sorry for the issues but the renovation will solve the problem, I'm noy buying it.
