Dream Guincho

Let me start by saying that we really like these types of locations, small-scale, family-friendly, peace and quiet and a lovely village with nice restaurants within easy reach. We have already visited many in Southern Europe. Due to the high scores on various sites and the high price, our expectations were high. The location is extremely charming and the living room is spacious, light, quiet and a nice place to stay, the breakfast was delicious and is freshly prepared for everyone according to their wishes by Sophia. Unfortunately, there were also a number of things that were really disappointing. The swimming pool was smaller than the photos suggest. The view is different than in the photos, more built-up. The rooms were smaller than in the photo and our room smelled unpleasantly strong of new wood. The bathroom was really different and smaller than in the photos, we also did not have a bidet (although in the photo) so not true to life, it all looks a bit cheap. Very bad hair dryer (feels very cheap) and the open wardrobe in the bathroom is also not pleasant, everything gets clammy from showering. The bathroom does not have a normal door but two half swing doors a la “saloon style” that bang a few times when you have entered the bathroom, especially when going to the toilet at night very inconvenient. In the bathroom cupboard there is a tray with a coffee maker/kettle but there is no power outlet nearby so that is a bit of an inefficient place to put it, we had to put the coffee maker on the floor in the bedroom to be able to use it because there is no power outlet at the office either. Cleaning on arrival could have done with a bit more attention. We found the bed very hard. The TV in the room cannot stream while it can in the living room, it would be a small effort to implement that in the rooms as well, the reception in the room is extremely poor so even if you have found a channel you can only follow half of it because of the stuttering. The honesty bar is very basic, a few drinks and that's it. The house rule is that you are not allowed to bring drinks and food from outside (I never find this a problem) but then you have to offer something. There is only cake and tea in the living room at 5pm but we don't eat cake. We would have appreciated a nut or something. The gym (nice that there is a gym!) is very small but more importantly the stuff that is there looks very cheap and is almost falling apart from cheapness and it is not clean, there was all kinds of stuff on the floor that didn't belong there. We didn't see the owner in the 9 days that we were there while this is an added value for such a small accommodation, it gives a hotel/B&B a soul, you can ask what nice restaurants are, where you can best park near Sintra, how best to go to Lisbon etc. At this hotel there are alternating (3 seen) young people (students?) at the reception which really gives a different feeling. The access road to the accommodation is very bumpy and poorly passable

Descobrimos este Hotel maravilhoso de uma maneira improvável... dificilmente procuraríamos algo naquele local mas a sorte levou-nos até esta unidade hoteleira que é original, tranquila e, diria, muito familiar. Localizada entre a serra e o mar, entre Cascais, Sintra e Lisboa, muito bem inserida no seu meio natural... o facto de ter apenas 9 quartos faz com que ao não ter muitos hóspedes seja um local muito tranquilo. A simpatia de todos, da proprietária a funcionários faz-nos sentir em casa! Decidimos aproveitar o dia para passear na zona pelo que apenas usufruirmos do pequeno almoço que é farto e simpáticamente servido. Recomendo sem reservas, querem passar dias tranquilos e calmos perto de tudo na zona da Cascais, Sintra e Lisboa este é o local.

L'acceuil est excellent , la bonne humeur de sofia et de José est communicative, la chambre est de belle dimension , il n´y manque rien la vue de la chambre est magnifique Le diner y est excellent , les petits déjeuner idem , c 'est un petit bijoux que cette etablissement. Je vous le recommande vivement .

Un coin de paradis près de Cascais !! Tout y est parfait… on se sent à Dream Guincho comme à la maison ! L’endroit est arrangé avec beaucoup de goût, un sens du détail qui en fait un lieu chaleureux et accueillant. La végétation est magnifique, la Piscine très agréable après une journée de visite ou de plage. Les chambres et les salles de bains sont spacieuses et lumineuses. Quant au petit déjeuner… un délice préparé avec soin et attention par une équipe de choc !! Si vous choisissez de dîner à l’hôtel, alors vous vous régalerez vraiment, les produits frais, de saison et variés. Tout cela présenté avec sourire et gentillesse. Un grand merci à toute l’équipe, nous reviendrons avec joie !!!
