Good hotel not to far for things and it’s quite

Lovely little hotel. Super friendly and great location.

The room is a bit small. If you’re around 5foot in height, it is perfect for you but staying there with my partner who is 6ft, it was a bit difficult to move about. The bed is soft and comfortable but again small. There are not enough socket to charge our phones. I think there was just one and it is on the bottom of the bed. Nowhere else to sit aside from the bed. There was a mini ‘coffee table’ where the phone is but it is in a corner that has a low ceiling so it’s not really very accessible. During our whole stay here, we stayed in the top floor and the elevator was broken. The whole stay it was broken and the stairs are very steep. If you try and climb or get down these stairs drunk, I don’t think that will have a good outcome. It was a struggle to get our big luggage up when we checked in and was also very hard getting it down when we checked out. Regarding the location, it’s very near the museums but a bit far from the red light district area. But the tram stop is a few mins walk, so you can get the tram. Overall, it’s ok. If you’re travelling solo, this is a good and affordable option.

The location is excellent and the staff were great, but the room itself was very small.

Easy experience in a quiet centrally located neighborhood. Located in an old Dutch house so be forewarned -- spaces and stairs are tight and steep. Breakfast was normal standard and rooms are tidy. Staff very service minded. Trams and buses located right around the corner for easy + fast access anywhere in the city. Rijksmuseum and Museumplein one street over -- a pleasant place to spend days viewing art and gardens and nights walking along the paths along the lawn.

I thoroughly enjoyed my 3 nights at the Max Brown hotel. It was in a fairly quiet setting in the Museum district but within walking distance of most areas of the city. After exploring the busier areas it was nice to return time a more quiet space. There’s also public transit nearby and very easy access to the airport bus. I had a room with two single beds. It was tiny but had everything you would need. The beds were comfortable, the decor was cozy, it was clean, and there was a lot of storage. The kettle and complementary tea in the room was a nice touch. The staff were very friendly and helpful anytime I had questions. The lobby was comfortable and the decor was very nice. Cold flavour infused water was available in the lobby and was much appreciated after a long day of sight seeing in the summer heat. I enjoyed breakfast on my last day and it was pretty good, with yogurt cheese boiled eggs breads pastries meat juice coffee and water. The staircase was very steep with small stairs but there was an elevator which came in handy when carrying luggage to the third floor. The hotel entrance hallways and doorways would not be wheelchair accessible. I highly recommend this comfortable quaint and friendly hotel.

The location of the hotel is unbeatable. There is an elevator and the street is quiet. The rooms are classically small like traditional European hotels.
