It is a house with local characteristics. It has a good location. It is ten minutes away from the central railway station. It is beside the canal and there are many foods around. It is also a ten-minute walk to Dam Square.

I stayed in this hotel for 2 nights on business. My experience was generally positive however there are some areas for consideration before you reserve. The hotel is a long walk with luggage from the train station. It is positioned in a street where one of your neighbours is a Red Cross centre. There are some issues with either homeless or fragile people in the area during the night. I am a 2m tall man so it does not bother me but it would not be the same if I was a woman. Upsides include the proximity of a large supermarket. The hotel itself is quite modern. I was in a room with a private terrace but it was actually in the basement so natural light was very limited. My room was comfortable and furnished according to the standards of the brand. The bathroom was clean and modern. My room did have a number of cobwebs on the ceiling which is in part, no doubt, due to being on level -1. The rooms are separated into several buildings joined by passageways so bear this in mind if you have a big suitcase, it may take a while to reach your room. The breakfast room is only open for breakfast which is a shame, since there is no restaurant (which is normal for the brand, no issues) and the space would be useful to eat (delivered or take away) dinner. At reception there are, in my opinion, too many people milling around. When I arrived it took a moment to raise their attention from chatting amongst themselves and get started on the paperwork, added to which after giving my passport they gave me someone else’s paperwork. Remember the first impression for a frequent traveller is how efficient you are - less people to chat with would mean more focus on the job. While I was there IHG suffered a well publicised data breach so I am not commenting on the issues regarding computer system failures. Finally, I would say this is a hotel which makes sense for a couple with little luggage and no work pressures.

Complaint Regarding Unprofessional Treatment at Reception Dear ClinkNOORD Hostel Management, I am writing to formally complain about an incident that occurred during my stay at your hostel from the 26th to the 29th of September. Unfortunately, I experienced extremely disrespectful treatment from the night receptionist on the 30th of September, around 5:00 AM. After my check-out period had ended, I returned to the hostel to retrieve my belongings, which I had left for a fee of 10 euros. I informed the receptionist that I would be leaving in the morning, as my luggage storage time had expired. While waiting in the common area, I accidentally fell asleep for a short time due to feeling unwell. Despite my situation, the receptionist suddenly woke me and insisted that I leave the hostel immediately. I politely explained the circumstances, but he became visibly angry and behaved in an unprofessional and rude manner. At no point did I behave inappropriately, and I believe this treatment was unjustified. I am very disappointed with this experience, as it reflects poorly on the hostel's standard of customer service. I couldn't be more pleased with this hostel! I highly recommend it. The hostel, including bathrooms and showers, was very clean. The beds were super cozy and comfortable and offered some privacy. Staff was super sweet and helpful. Bonus points that the lobby always smelled like toast or freshly baked cookies! Also, the bike rental service was fantastic. One suggestion for improvement is that it would have been nice to have some wall hangers in the room. Since there were none, people resorted to hanging stuff from the bed ladders or just putting it on the floor.

We are staying at the Intercontinental hotels as our main hotel and have been most impressed. Our stay at the Amstel was so pleasant! The staff was absolutely amazing, every person we encounter was so helpful and kind. It is impossible to single out anyone as each team member was great. We ate at the hotel all of our meals except one and the food and service were perfect. We were so grateful that although the afternoon tea was full they were able to accommodate us in another beautiful location where our view was spectacular. We are in hotels 150 nights a year and our experience at the Amstel was one of the very best. The staff members were such nice quality people. They thanked us for allowing them to provide assistance to us. We were so humbled by the generosity of the hotel staff. While dining everyone pitches in and help one another and whatever we could want was provided immediately. Thank you very much with complete sincerity and gratitude. The management should be commended for encouraging such terrific service. We look forward to our next visit to Amsterdam and staying at the Amstel.

You have to take a ferry from Central Station, but there is also a bus from the hotel, and if you go by yourself you can ride a ferry by bicycle just like locals! And the rooms are of the highest quality! Cleanliness ◎ In all ◎

I had an amazing stay at this cool and unique pod hotel in Amsterdam. The pods were surprisingly spacious, and the top bunk provided a comfortable bed with fun lights to enhance the ambiance. Despite the shared bathrooms and toilets, they were always clean and well-maintained. Also there is a cat there very cute, forget his name though. They give you these bracelets that let you do everything in the hubs as well you can leave your luggage after check-out and even shower afterwards if your flight is later. The hosts were incredibly informative about Amsterdam, and the personalized app guide made exploring the city a breeze. I'll never forget the delicious restaurant recommendation they provided - that meal was unforgettable! Breakfast, conveniently located across the street, was a thoughtful touch. The hotel's facilities, including games and fridge and microwave amenities kinda serve yourself, made it feel like a cozy living room where we enjoyed drinks and games each night in the communal space. Despite a small issue with our pod, the staff promptly resolved it and even offered us wine, which was a lovely gesture. With the popular food hall right next door and easy bike rentals available, the location couldn't have been better. We enjoyed the convenience of having delicious food options nearby and exploring the city on the provided bikes. Overall, this was the best experience I've had in Amsterdam, and I would gladly return in a heartbeat. If you're planning a trip to Amsterdam, I highly recommend staying here for an unforgettable experience.

Trust me you will not be disappointed. The hotel is clean and modern. The hospitality is beyond amazing. The friendliest front desk that is available 24/7. Location is spot on. Train station, including busses, metro etc across the road and no more than a 5 minute walk. Was 1 stop to get into the centre of Amsterdam and very easy to navigate the public transport to venture into different neighborhoods as well. Hands down I will recommend hotel2stay to everyone heading to Amsterdam ! Thank you so much to all the staff that made our stay so pleasurable.

Very comfortable bed, nice room with a good shower and lovely amenities. Surprisingly cheap nearby parking, only 2€ per day (yes, only 2.00€ for 24 hours). Very friendly staff. Tasty Belgium Affligem beer available at the bar. Delicious breakfast.

Nice hotel, decent rates, good bathroom, but really just lacking in information. First off, the hotel is in a mall, and there’s no indication of which doors are open after the mall closes and which aren’t. Google Maps is unaware of that, so if you’re relying on that or a similar service to get you back to the hotel, be aware that will not work, and employees will not provide you with useful information about this unless you ask. For the record, I eventually managed to enter via Catharinje Esplanade. Second, maybe it’s because I visited on a holiday, but there was no front desk or room service late at night, which would be totally fine IF that communication were provided. But there was no indication whatsoever that the supposedly 24 hour room service was not actually 24 hours. Again, certainly don’t begrudge employees a night off. But *management* needs to do a much better job communicating what services are or are not available and when. Don’t promise something your employees can’t deliver. If management would just set realistic expectations and provide a little more useful information, this would be a nice hotel.
