Large stately hotel. the hotel also has residences which means less hotel guests and traffic (in a good way). i generally look for hotels with pools and saunas attached and the pool area has was beautiful was outdoor patio with view of alps and lakes. Lockers, robes and slippers provided. i had room #205 which had peekaboo view of lake and mainly a rooftop, I suspect City View rooms would be noisy with busy road in front. book lake view if possible. the front staff was lovely and very helpful. They were very accommodating in trying to sort out my room. I could have been made to move after the 1st night but to their credit - saw it was easier to keep me in the same room. restaurant and bar with outdoor seating looking out towards lake and promenade. Heavenly!

Note: I'm posting this after first sending it to the Monopol to allow them a chance for a fair response. They did not respond. We stayed in Monopol for 3 nights in late August 2024. The hotel is convenient to the train station. The room was OK until at 11:00 our first night we noticed a water leak dripping down from the ceiling...into my open luggage. Since there was NO PHONE is our room, I had to walk down to the front desk, and found no one there. A sign directed me to call (#61?), but no one answered. Went back up to the room and tried to clean up the mess. Went down to the a 2nd time...still no one there and no one answering the phone. 10 mins later we went down a THIRD time and finally found a clerk and another employee. Their solution was to offer us another room for the night only....we would not be moved into it since it was promised to another guest the next night. We opted to stay in our room so as to not have to move all our things for a just a few hours. The next day the front desk manager (Paul?) told us he fixed the leak. The next night the leak began again, this time by the bathroom door. It soaked the carpet and forced us to jump over the the soggy carpet to get into our bathroom. We informed the front desk, and the manager assured us it would be fixed, and said issues like this happen...”It's an old hotel” he said. He apologized for our inconvenience. There was no attempt to compensate us for the unsatisfactory room beyond an offer to give us a free breakfast the next morning, something we had already paid for. A staffer offered to throw my wet clothes in the dryer, but not to wash them from the funky water that dripped onto them. We got a meek ”We're sorry” when we checked out. We understand that an issue like this can affect any single night in any hotel. However, when the problem goes to a SECOND night, after we were promised it was fixed, then the lack of resolution is unacceptable. Our room was clearly not up to full price standards, and yet the Monopol was willing to charge us that much, and offer only a ”we're sorry” as a management response.

We stayed at the Hermitage and it was a perfect choice for us. The hotel is away from the city center but the bus stop that takes you there is in front of the hotel entrance and you get to the city center in 15 mins tops. But staying here you get the most perfect unobstructed views to enjoy, and not even pedestrians walking in front of the hotel. It was just perfect. The room was clean and service was great. We would go back to this same hotel if we were to visit Luzern a second time.

Great location, near train station, Old Town and Lake Lucerne. Our room was spacious and well maintained. The bed was comfortable. Front desk was pleasant and helpful. You should book a quiet room since the rooms facing the street can be noisy. My only criticisms were that they did not have a fan available for the room on our first night, which is very strange considering the hotel does not have air conditioning. Also, the the bathtub walls were high making it difficult to use. The bottom of the tub was slippery. It needed either rubber *****s or a mat.

Every year when we fly to Europe for vacation, my wife always chooses the hotel, and it is always very good! This time is still the same, and this hotel makes us even more satisfied! Open the balcony window, the beautiful Lake Lucerne jumps into the eyes, the comfortable big bed, and the drinks in the bar, the beautiful reception and waiters. It is very convenient to get on the yacht in District 7 opposite the hotel. It is recommended to catch the last one at 17:00 every day, so that you can feel the beauty of the sunset. When you go out of the hotel to the left, there will be a good clothing store, all of which are new designs from Germany and Italy. Girls will be satisfied! Tax refund is available. When you go out of the hotel to the right, you can walk to the Chapel Bridge, and after crossing it, you can take the City Train and take a walk.
Commanding a pristine setting on the shores of Lake Lucerne and with captivating views over the Swiss Alps this iconic Belle Epoque landmark has shone in the heart of Switzerland since 1906. Overall experience: very, very good, leaving very unforgettable memories
After entering the hotel, you will first be presented with hot towels and welcome tea. After asking a series of requirements, the front desk will also provide you with a free map of Lucerne, as well as free bus tickets, which you can experience or take home as a souvenir.
Plus a note about the honeymoon trip
The hotel got a free upgrade to a very nice lake view room with a terrace.
In addition, champagne and four small pieces of dessert were given as a gift
We ordered chicken steak using room service and got a side of fries with three kinds of sauces. The price was high but it was really delicious.

The hotel room is large and new, and the decoration is in line with the domestic four-star standard. The front desk service is very good, and the room also comes with 2 bottles of purified water for free, as well as a coffee machine and capsule coffee for free use. The hotel is in a prime location, a 10-minute walk from Lucerne Railway Station and the pier. The room is well soundproofed, and you can't hear people talking in the corridor. In the peak tourist season, it is very cost-effective compared to other hotels in Lucerne. For Chinese tourists, in addition to many Swiss standard sockets, there is also a target socket in the room, and the European standard conversion plug can be used directly, which is very convenient! Traveling in many countries in Europe can be done with one plug...

It is the most satisfying hotel in Switzerland. The rooms are small, but the decoration is relatively new, but their corridors are really narrow. It is estimated that Europe is more expensive, haha. The breakfast was quite rich. I stayed for two days. I met the Chinese waiter the next day. The communication was much more convenient. Haha, the restaurant was great. I went to dinner with my husband at night. The atmosphere was very good. The waiters were very friendly, patiently introduced, and ordered a bottle. A beer that doesn't know what the name is, it's super delicious.

We stayed one night in the Hotel Luzernhof Annex. Stupidly we put my jewellery in a location in the room that we felt would be a good hiding place - it was so good we forgot about it when we departed early the next morning. Much to my dismay I didn't realise until we were in the UK awaiting our flight home. An email later, my little jewellery bag was in the safe hands of the hotel staff who went and retrieved it from our room. The lovely staff then posted it to another family member in Germany. I am so grateful for their kindness and attentiveness to our stressful (self inflicted) situation. Their honesty and quickness of action brought much comfort to me as the items held great sentimental & irreplaceable value. Thank you to all involved. The room in the annex was clean, comfortable, spacious, ideally situated and a great price. There were plenty of food options nearby. Although it had a shared bathroom, it was super clean and provided all that we needed. My sincere thanks to the Hotel Luzernhof.
Designed by the celebrated Parisian architect Jean Nouvel (Louvre Abu Dhabi), the hotel is tranquilly and centrally situated next to an adjacent park in the heart of Lucerne. The Culture and Convention Center, KKL Luzern, the historic quarter with its lake promenade and the train station are all accessible within a 5-minute walk. Completely conceived and designed by Nouvel, the interiors are an architectural marvel and bear Nouvel's classic hallmark - the interplay of wood and steel. All of THE HOTEL's vertical panels are made from wood, whilst the horizontal panels are made from stainless steel. The purposefully understated corridor leads guests into the rooms, each with large windows that open up breath-taking views of the city and the park next to the hotel. Each room is unique, with different ceiling or wall projections depicting 30 film scenes from Nouvel's own personal background, creating a cinematic experience for guests.

Breakfast 30 pieces in order to save resources is an unlimited number of windows to order food can be seen in the maintenance of a small garden room on the side of the road 3 people living space is large electric window L'Occitane's toiletries is the front desk staff overcharged extra bed Although the money later retired the money bill and said that it is good to send the mailbox, it has not received any suggestions. If you go out or get the bill in time, check out the restaurant downstairs. The independent operation of the Bamboo network is very high. There is no location. It is worth a try. it is good

ZZiyaliezuiwodeguiVery good, the hotel for a friend, the first time I stayed at a foreign homestay,
Facilities: The facilities are very complete, almost all the furniture is available, I will go to live here next time I come to play, it is really comfortable
TTING TINGA few minutes walk from Lake Lucerne. The apartment is a two-story loft. One bed downstairs. Two beds upstairs. The bed is opposite the skylight. The apartment facilities are perfect. You can cook your own meals and have a small terrace. The small wine room is a simple color of wood and white. Overall the house is very satisfied, but there is a little dissatisfaction because the room was already set up without giving the apartment building password and room password in advance. I ca n’t go downstairs to hit the owner. The phone didn't work, and I was trapped downstairs twice before and after waiting for a resident in the building to open the door before we could get in. The service was not very good.
陈陈This hotel is better than its excellent location, one is close to the railway station, and the other is the scenery is superb. The room is not big, the kitchen stove is right next to the bed, it doesn't feel very good. There is no oven, only induction cooker and microwave, cooking facilities are average. The bathroom is relatively spacious. What impresses people is the elevator, which is so compact that it is impossible for a family of three and our luggage to go upstairs at once. There is no air-conditioning in the room. The Swiss high temperature this summer, there is only a floor-standing electric fan, it is not very comfortable to sleep at night.
GGuest UserLocation - amazing! Located above a bar on the lakeside, with views over the lake, and town across the other side. We didn’t have a balcony but had large windows with radiators underneath them so happily sat with the windows wide open but still warm, watching the bustle below in the snow. Lovely! Central location a few minutes from the train and bus stations. The entrance to the apartment block is either via doorway at the back of a restaurant, or another at the back in a back alley. When we first got there we used the alley but after that we cut through the restaurant as is on the lakefront. The room we had was very large with two bedrooms, kitchen, and large bathroom. Perfectly fine. It wasn’t quite ready when we got there but we were let in still, whilst they cleaned around us. It was lovely and warm which was great as it was snowing outside. Coffee machine which didn’t use. A nice touch would have been a welcome pack of basic food/drink like some apartments provide, but as we only really used the room as a base whilst exploring it was basic and fine. Loads to do in the area including a trip up mount pilatus, boat trip out around lake Lucerne, Xmas markets, walking, etc. lots of restaurants, bars, shops, and food options. We had the most amazing cheese fondue at the restaurant directly under the apartment. It’s quite open to the elements with good lake views and twinkly lights, pretty but cold in December so they gave us blankets, fake fur coats, and heated cushions which was lush! The area is expensive though, so be aware of this! If I was to return to this area I would stay here again.
We stayed at Galaxy Apartment - or I should say one of the Galaxy apartments for a couple of days. With three people, the falt was a little bit packed to be honest. The bathroom is very small. One of the things which disturbed me the most was the noise at night. People seem to come and go whenever they like and make a lot of noise (scream/shout) in the stairway. I don't like to be woken up at 2am during my vacation. While having TV is not that important, let's note that it was totally impossible to watch any program for more than 5 minutes, because the connection would break down. Additionally, the recent heatwave makes the flat quite hot and stuffy. We had to leave windows open during the night. That was probably for the best because trying to close the shutters was yielding such a noise. I thought they would break. Fortunately, the street was very quiet. Finally, they should provide more information regarding the parking. I think this is quite the minimum. We were really struggling to understand how to get the daily ticket.
