Lucerne Hotels with Free Breakfast

Facilities: Beyond expectations. Each room is named after a place in Switzerland, and the decor varies accordingly. The room was spacious with many windows, offering views of the train station, the bustling market, and snow-capped mountains in the distance. The corner space was very cozy, and the toilet and bathroom were large. Cleanliness: Very clean, with no overlooked spots. There was also a beautiful orchid in the room. Service: The front desk staff were exceptionally gentle and friendly. They proactively and thoughtfully explained how to access water and where to drink it. The mini-bar was free, and upon check-in, we were even given extra bottled mineral water in glass bottles. Environment: The location is incredibly convenient. It's just a few minutes' walk to the train station, so no worries about carrying heavy luggage. All major city attractions are within walking distance, and the surrounding neighborhood is very pleasant.

The hotel room was spotless, and the bed was wonderfully soft and comfortable. I really appreciated the double lock for added security, and my individual capsule felt very private. The soundproofing was pretty decent too. The front desk staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always greeting me with a smile and providing excellent service all around. The hotel's central location is fantastic; it's just a three-bus-stop ride to the train station, and there's a Coop supermarket right next door. Having a microwave, kettle, and fridge was a huge plus – perfect for instant noodles and pre-made meals. The bathroom was spacious and private, complete with a hairdryer. The self check-in system was available in multiple languages, which was very convenient. All in all, a really great stay!

I had a wonderful stay at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Lucerne, but what truly stood out was the amazing staff and their exceptional service. After I checked out, I realized I had accidentally left behind my little plushie elephant, which means a lot to me. The team kindly helped search for it, found it, and even arranged to send it to my next hotel, completely complimentary. I’m incredibly grateful to the staff for their prompt help, thoughtful follow-up, and genuine kindness throughout the whole process. Their willingness to go the extra mile really meant a lot to me. Thank you so much to the team for the wonderful service and care!

The hotel located face the park but turn right after the street where see McDonald then will see a “Bar” restaurant . Not far from subway and consider convenient Room was clean and reception was helpful, just that there is no lock inside the room where room cleaning lady came in after 2 knocks.

The hotel is more than 500 years old and has a sense of history. The rooms are clean and spacious. The service is warm and welcoming. The restaurant is decorated in a European classical style with a warm flavor. The hotel is in a prime location, close to the river and a 10-minute walk from the train station, which is very convenient.

The location is fantastic, very close to several famous attractions, all just a few minutes' walk away. They offer a discount card that allows free use of public transport within the city. Parking requires finding a white space yourself, but you can arrange a CHF 20 all-day (24-hour) parking discount (this needs to be arranged at the hotel reception). The hotel has a drink machine, a salad and pasta vending machine, and a free 24-hour microwave for guest convenience.

Really was pleasantly surprised by how good this hotel was. Comfortable clean rooms, clean towels, comfortable beds and duvets, super friendly front desk, and really great location. A special mention of the quality breakfast spread which I look forward every morning. Strongly recommended.

This hotel stay was absolutely fantastic! Staying on the side facing Lake Lucerne meant we had stunning lake and snow-capped mountain views right from our balcony. The room was super clean and the service was excellent. Highly recommend!

Location: About a ten-minute walk to the station, or there's a bus stop just a 2-minute walk away with frequent buses that take you directly there in three stops – very convenient. It's also just a few minutes' walk to the Splosht Bridge and easy to walk to the lively Old Town. Service: The front desk staff were very friendly, and there were complimentary drinks in the lobby until 5 PM. Room: We stayed in a top-floor room with a balcony that offered a great view. However, there was no air conditioning, but they provided two fans and a kettle. The only downside was that the bed was quite poor and sagged a bit, which is a definite negative. Breakfast: We stayed for three days. On the first day, which was a Saturday, there was smoked salmon and melon, but these weren't available on the subsequent two days. Generally, there were scrambled eggs, various cold cuts and cheeses, bread, and a coffee machine where you could get a cappuccino. The female staff member at breakfast (wearing glasses) was particularly efficient, quietly doing a lot of work and very polite – she's a real asset. Overall, I'd give breakfast an 80%. Summary: Very good, exceeded expectations.

Probably my experience at this Lucerne Youth Hostel branch wasn't the best — though it certainly wasn't bad either. I suspect that was partly because I was coming directly from their Zermatt branch, where I had an absolutely amazing stay. I should also mention something I forgot to include in my Zermatt review: at the Zermatt Youth Hostel, they offer the thoughtful option of a lunch box if you can't stay for breakfast the next morning. The cook there made me the best sandwich ever 😍, which I enjoyed after my hike to the Matterhorn — with a Matterhorn view, no less! I think that's such a wonderful gesture for travelers. I asked about a similar option at the Lucerne Youth Hostel, but they didn't offer it, which was a bit disappointing. The breakfast also lacked any fresh veggies 🥗. I hope they might consider implementing a lunch box service; I believe early-bird travelers would really appreciate it. On a positive note, I really appreciated that they had an iron available at the reception — that came in very handy. That said, I didn't find the facilities particularly comfortable or cosy overall.
