Lucerne Hotels with Bars

This was the fifth hotel on my trip to Switzerland. It's two bus stops from the train station, but conveniently located right by the stop, so getting there wasn't an issue. The hotel clearly exudes a rich history and old-world charm, with its luxurious European-style decor. I had a bit of trouble initially finding the right entrance and the front desk within the building. I'd actually booked a city view room, but the front desk upgraded me to a stunning lake view room – seriously, you *must* book a lake view! The terrace views were absolutely breathtaking!! The room itself wasn't huge, but it did have air conditioning. The bathroom was a tad small, mainly due to a large, rather useless cabinet taking up unnecessary space.

The hotel room was spotless, and the bed was wonderfully soft and comfortable. I really appreciated the double lock for added security, and my individual capsule felt very private. The soundproofing was pretty decent too. The front desk staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always greeting me with a smile and providing excellent service all around. The hotel's central location is fantastic; it's just a three-bus-stop ride to the train station, and there's a Coop supermarket right next door. Having a microwave, kettle, and fridge was a huge plus – perfect for instant noodles and pre-made meals. The bathroom was spacious and private, complete with a hairdryer. The self check-in system was available in multiple languages, which was very convenient. All in all, a really great stay!

Hotel des Balances is a beautiful blend of history and modern comfort, right in the heart of Lucerne’s Old Town. The location is unbeatable — you can walk to the Chapel Bridge, Jesuit Church, and plenty of shops and restaurants within minutes. My room was stylish and very clean, with a wonderful view over the river. The historic facade and murals give the hotel real charm, while the interiors feel elegant and well cared for. The staff were warm, professional, and genuinely helpful — from check-in to recommendations around the city Overall, a fantastic hotel if you want charm, comfort, and a prime location in Lucerne. Highly recommended, especially if you can book a river-view room!

I had a wonderful stay at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Lucerne, but what truly stood out was the amazing staff and their exceptional service. After I checked out, I realized I had accidentally left behind my little plushie elephant, which means a lot to me. The team kindly helped search for it, found it, and even arranged to send it to my next hotel, completely complimentary. I’m incredibly grateful to the staff for their prompt help, thoughtful follow-up, and genuine kindness throughout the whole process. Their willingness to go the extra mile really meant a lot to me. Thank you so much to the team for the wonderful service and care!

Facilities: The hotel's exterior looks a bit old, but the lobby and rooms inside seem newly renovated. Overall, it's pretty good. Cleanliness: Clean and tidy. Environment: It's right across the road from the train station, and just a few minutes' walk to the ferry terminal, supermarket, and tourist attractions, which is super convenient. Service: The ladies at the front desk were very friendly. On our first day, they helped us check in at 11 AM, which was very efficient.

It's okay to stay overnight within 10 minutes walk from Lucerne Station. It's close. Good to carry a suitcase. It is a good place to leave your luggage before check-in. And on the first floor, we had a restaurant, and they gave us a restaurant coupon, and they didn't use it. There was no electric pot in the room. I think there was a coffee machine. When you go out, it's good to go to the Capel Bridge right in front of you. There is Starbucks next to it.

Hotel goldener stern has a very nice outlook. Very cool vibes when i first stepped in. Check in was self service and easy. The lift is small so its only good for one person with luggage or two persons without luggage. The room is clean just rather small. Toilet is clean too. About 10 mins walk to luzerne station. There is also a bus that you can take from luzerne station to the accom. just need to walk 2-3 mins from bus stop. Overall, not a bad accom!

The best part is its proximity to the train station! Just a few steps from the train, you can drop off your luggage and completely free up your hands, avoiding the torture of dragging suitcases over the old town's cobblestone streets. The front desk service was also impeccable, both warm and professional. However, even with such a perfect location and amazing service, there's one fatal flaw – no air conditioning! Who would have thought that Switzerland in late May would defy expectations and be as hot as an oven? Accustomed to powerful air conditioning in Asia, returning to the room at night felt like a complimentary 'Swiss eco-sauna' experience. Location gets full marks, service gets full marks, but for the temperature, we had to rely on our strong willpower for some 'physical cooling'.

The hotel is very clean and well-maintained. The breakfast is typical for an Ibis, meeting expectations. Aside from the room being a bit small, everything else was great. The soundproofing is excellent; even though our room faced the street, it was very quiet. I'd recommend this for solo travelers or couples. A triple room would be a bit cramped, and you might bump your head on the top bunk if you're not careful. On the plus side, the location is fantastic with very convenient transportation. I'd definitely stay here again if I have the chance.
