Stella Island Luxury Resort & Spa (Adults Only)

My second visit to Stella Island did not disappoint! Lovely refreshing welcome drink on arrival and the team were on hand to set me up on the app and get all of our restaurant visits booked. Fabulous service to our room which was ready early. I’ve seen a few comments about sunbed wars but despite being in a room only we found sunbeds easily every day. Drink service around the pool is good. Thank you to all of the waiters and waitresses. Especially Maria who remembered me from last year. Last year we had an over water bungalow and whilst I was envious of those this year, I had just as good of a time in a standard room. The food is what really sets this place apart from other resorts. All new menus for 2024 and I love that there is now a vegan menu in every restaurant which is really helpful for me as I’m veggie. Didn’t have a bad meal all week. The evening entertainment is good but can get a bit samey. The highlight of my holiday was the fitness classes with Platis. I trained every day during my visit and he put on some truly outstanding workouts. Even if this isn’t typically your cup of tea, give it a try as you won’t be disappointed! This place is luxury from start to finish. Already booked for 2025 for more fitness classes, cocktails and relaxing.

This is our 3rd visit to this hotel and we absolutely love it here. The hotel is beautiful and very clean. The food is amazing. With lots of restaurants to choose from. The hotel staff are great and work so hard day and night. Maria (the lady who serves the drinks by the pool near the main restaurant) is absolutely amazing. She races around all day long taking orders and making sure you have a drink at all times. Thank you to all the wonderful staff. We always have the most amazing time and will be returning next year.

We booked this hotel as a couple in our early thirties after seeing how popular it was in social media and from recommendations, we went to Mayia exclusive resort in Rhodes last year and were told that Stella Island was on the same level, it was not. Pros Very nice looking place with decks over the water etc Buffet breakfast was nice, lots to choose from, fresh orange juice in the mornings was nice. Cons On arrival we were told to download the app to check in, we were asked if we would like a drink which we did but were made very clear we could only have this one if we wanted another we would have to pay, downloaded the app, clicked the button to check in and that was it, no information on restaurants we could use, how many times we could use them, where the bars or restaurants were literally nothing, our bags were loaded onto a buggy and we were driven to the room. We were shown how to switch the air con on and that was it. First few days sat around the pool next to the cabana bar, the service was so slow, out first day was 37 degrees and the woman came around 3 times all day to take drinks orders! she then told my partner the next day it was too hot for her to take orders and in that heat we don't get the best service!! Frequently bought over the wrong drinks around the pool, over the first few days this happened at least once a day, drinks we didn't order, drinks we ordered but were made wrong etc, we then moved to the pool area next to reception and the service was much better, still don't come around often enough to take your order but it was better. Asian restaurant, waited 30 minutes for our food to then be told our food had been given to another table and ours would be another 10 minutes, what?? Next night steak restaurant, we ordered the sharer steak, we were half way through our dinner when they came and told us this isn't our steak we ordered, took it away and waiting another 5 minutes for what we actually ordered to arrive!! Second time we went to the steak restaurant we waited 25 minutes for a drink as they had 1 bartender to the steak and Asian restaurant, then my partners dessert came which wasn't what he ordered so had to wait another 10 minutes for his dessert to come. The buffet for dinner was so small there was barely anything there unless you wanted bread salad or sauces. Cocktails and beer are vile, the cocktails are syrup over ice you could only have 1 as more than that would give you horrific heartburn, the beer was so watered down, if you wanted a Mythos you had to pay for it as it was on the 'premium drinks menu' Service was so so slow, once night we waited near on 30 minutes for someone to come over and take our drinks order, you try to go to the bar to order and they will tell you to sit down and someone will take your order!! No snack bar to get something small throughout the day like ice cream etc The shower room was awful on our last day, its a shared room with 2 showers and 3 toilets men and women's, the doors ar

The resort is lovely, good choice of food. The shop attached to the resort has lots of lovely items in with essentials and or treats. We had a slight issue with the spa - we paid for the vip couples suite and we didnt realise this meant we done our own treatments rather than a therapist and the jacuzzi in there is rather chilly, for €270 for 2 hours I felt slightly deflated but we were invited back for a body massge which was lovely apart from being burned on my tummy with the heat from the bed. The entertainment in the evenings was fabulous and the bar staff couldnt do enough for you.

During a recent visit to Makuti for a lunchtime brunch, we were absolutely blown away by both the food and the exceptional service. This wasn't our first time at Makuti, and it certainly won't be our last. The main reason for our return? The incredible hospitality we received from George, our waiter, and Rania, the manager. From the moment we walked in, George greeted us with a warm, genuine smile that instantly made us feel at home. Throughout our meal, he was fantastically attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed without ever being intrusive. His personable nature truly added to our experience, making the lunch feel special and relaxed. Rania, the manager, was equally wonderful. She checked in on us during the meal, also with a beaming smile, and her friendly demeanour made us feel like valued guests. It's clear that she and George genuinely care about their customers, which is something you often don't find at other hotel destinations. As for the food, it was absolutely delicious. We had the steak, prawn dish, and rigatoni, and each was bursting with flavour. The steak was perfectly cooked, the prawns were fresh and succulent, and the rigatoni was rich and satisfying. Every bite was a delight, and the quality of the ingredients was evident. In summary, Makuti is not just a place for great food, but also a place where the service leaves a lasting impression. George and Rania made our visit truly memorable, and we're already looking forward to our next meal here. Highly recommended!

We came here on our honeymoon and quite frankly we believe this hotel to be more like 6 star than 5! Every single member of staff was incredible. They were all very happy and so attentive. They couldn’t do enough for you! My wife is celiac and therefore cannot consume gluten, they simply went over and above for her to ensure she felt safe in what she was eating; they met with her at every meal time when we went to the buffet and she, the chef and the manager that day went around every meal to inform her if it was safe to eat or not. They made her pizza, pasta and pancakes at her request. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Even a gluten free packed lunch when we went on an excursion. The cleaning staff also go over and above, the room was cleaned twice a day and mini bar re stocked which was a nice little extra. Overall we cannot fault this hotel, pure luxury throughout and we will definitely be back. Extra thank you to Sofia, Irini, Maria and George and the two chefs (who’s names we didn’t get) who provided us with some personal touches which made all the difference.
