I visited twice in a week and both times hot water was a problem. First time it took 15mins with the tap on until it started to get warm. Eventually it was hot enough for a shower but the shower head was spurting water everywhere and made a hell of a mess. Second visit (different room) there was no hot water at all. They offered to move me to another room which also had not hot water. My travel partner also had no hot water in his room. Eventually ( I had to go chase them up 2h later) they got the hot water working but again the shower head was spurting water everywhere and there was hardly any pressure. My travel partner had to turn the tap to cold to make it work and I had to run the sink tap at the same time to get luke warm water. After a few minutes the water just stopped completely and just a yellow stinky dribble came out of the sink tap. I once again complained to the staff but had no response. For US$120/night i at least expect a hot shower. I had three other friends and we all got different room prices for the same type of room. From $US110 to $US135 per night. When I complained they said it was because my friends booked using a booking agent which wasn't true. When we tried to prove it to them the language barrier made it nearly impossible to explain. Eventually they dropped the 135 to 120 but refused to charge us all the same. No "Do Not Disturb" sign to hang on the door. No Phone in the room. No information booklet for local services etc. The internet was useless, I had to use my phone hotspot to get any internet at all. The restaurant food was average and overpriced. I wont be back.

The park has many different sites such as Kangaroo Flats at the back of this large park which has a national park outlook, large trees and large sites. Our site was close to the river which was great..but sandy. The position of the park is great for river, ocean and town and it's a shame there's not a jetty on the parks doorstep suitable for fishing. The park is well maintained. Enjoyable stay.

Our site was shady which was great and sandy.. As it was windy we and our neighbours were forever sweeping under our awning for sand and leaves. I adjusted the end and side privacy screens to the ground which didn't make any difference. Many neighbours had blowers which looked much easier than a broom... The park has many different sites such as Kangaroo Flats which has a national park outlook, large trees and large sites. The sites close to the river are all good size..some have grass. The position of the park is great for river, ocean and town. water was ankle deep. Shower and Toilets are OK. Nice park and town.

location fantastic and generally very suitable accommodation for a casual water based holiday. A couple of small issues that would have improved the chalet even more, it needs better and more towel racks in bathroom, and somewhere to put toilet gear, in the disabled chalet the floor gets very wet after a shower so things need to be off the floor. The basin is small with not much of an edge so not much room there either. The disabled chalet has no seat on toilet, thats okay, but make sure you take some deodorizing spray with you .If two couples go there is no mirror in second bedroom. Love the BBQ and small verandah, great kitchen also. We have booked again.

Augusta is very windy in summer, so be prepared for this if you’re camping. The park is located on the foreshore of the river and you have swimming, fishing, boating and ample beautiful green grass within a few meters of the park boundary. Powered and unpowered sites, good laundry facilities and a great camp kitchen are all part of the experience. The grounds staff are fantastic and the amenities are always spotless. Pelicans surround you as you fillet fish, rays come and nibble your toes if you stand there in the shallows long enough, and Dolphins often cruise past chasing their dinner as kite surfers get airborne in the background. I probably don’t need to say much more 😊

We recently stayed for 5 nights, it is such a beautiful location. We had friends that we were staying with and our sites were sandy, but a good shade cloth can fix that problem. The toilets are in need of updating, the showers worked beautifully, however they are dirty. The toilet bins (ladies bins) were overflowing and made us gag each time we went there. This campsite is such a stunning location and some sites are really lovely, overlooking river. Kids play area and upgrade to ammenities are needed. The only thing that has put us off is the ammenities, everything else was wonderful!
