Palma de Mallorca Hotels with Balcony

The hotel looks ordinary from the outside, but the interior design is very unique, combining modern and antique. The rooms close to the inside are very quiet, and the hotel front desk is very welcoming.

The service and our room was fantastic. The team went above and beyond to help me surprise my partner’s birthday. However I was little disappointed with the rooftop “pool”, the picture online was very deceptive and appears to be a little bigger/ deeper but it was just a small tub to splash your toes in. Stayed here for 7 days and writing this review just after checking out, all in all a nice hotel but with some pros and cons. Cons: - Room is a LOT smaller than advertised, with just enough room to walk around the bed. We paid for a decent room and expected what was shown on the pictures for ‘our room’ category but it was false advertisement. - Building site is noisy and an eye sore while sat around the pool. I actually knew about this before we booked but looking at the pictures from previous reviews it looked like most of the structure was up so the noisy bits were finished, I was wrong. I feel they should tell people on booking about it. - No table or chairs on balcony. We paid a lot for the room too through *********** and the pictures advertised for that room were nothing like what we booked. I called reception every single day on my 7 day holiday to ask for a chair and they promised the next day we could get one, we never got one. This would be ok if there was somewhere else to sit in the room but there is nowhere other than the bed. So we lay on the bed and played cards in the evening and didn’t use the balcony. We had a sea view too, so a shame we couldn’t sit out. - Pool bar closes at 5pm, they have a beautiful bar area with a TV, couches etc really lovely but no one sits in there in the evening because the bar is shut, and in the day everyone is sat around the pool. Bit of a shame to have such a wasted space that is so nice. - No tea/coffee making facilities in the room, didn’t have a cup of tea whole holiday. - No bottled water in room (didn’t bother me as just bought a big bottle each night from supermarket) - No iron in the room so we just wore creased clothes. - Sun loungers around the pool are really uncomfortable due to a metal bar that goes across them and dig into your back there isn’t a way around it. - Maid took one of our room key cards for some strange reason. Pros: - Staff are really lovely, the receptionist, bar lady, lifeguard (who gives you the towels everyday) all really nice friendly people who can’t do enough for you. - Room is cleaned everyday. - Excellent location! A short stroll to cala major centre where you’ll find the beach and all the restaurants/super market. - Porto Pi shopping centre is a 10-15 minute walk and is AMAZING, they have Zara, Mango, Bershka, Stradivarius and more. - Palma town centre is very close just 10 mins on the number 4 bus 2 Euro per person each way. - Fresh towels everyday, we brought them to the beach too no issues. - I have to hand it to them the shower in the room is lovely. Hot water no problem. - Breakfast is lovely, I wasn’t expecting much but it was really good. If you are British don’t be expecting full English type food (which we didn’t anyway) but they have an amazing selection of cheeses, meats, breads, fruit, cookies pastries brownies even churros. Tired 4* hotel in a poor location at the top of a steep hill. Rooms are a generous size and in good condition. Public areas and pool are uninviting. Price per night of around €190 is ludicrously expensive for this location / condition. On a more positive note, staff are nice, good bus service ( around 20 mins ride time ) into Central Palma. Great little cafe 75m away from the front of the hotel ( but that's it, there are no other amenities near by. Not terrible hence 3*s, but hard to love or recommend

The hotel is really good, the staff is friendly and they do everything possible to make your stay pleasant. However, the room did not have a double bed but two comfortable single beds all the same. But the most annoying thing is the simple glazing and the curtains which let in light. For a four star and quite surprising but the stay still went well and the kindness of the staff really adds to a satisfactory experience, thanks to their daily work! Ps: don't hesitate to have breakfast, it's buffet style and it's really good! In addition, if you have to take the plane the next day before the buffet opens, you will be entitled to a good pic-nik prepared by them ☺️

The hotel room was great, the staff impeccable, just the small problem that can surprise you is that we had a booking tax of €8 and a bit, except that on the site where we booked and paid for the room online, at no time did they warn us that there would be a tax (knowing that we only slept one night, the price of which is not exorbitant either) so be careful not to get ripped off, especially if you were going to stay for a long time, the taxes will surely increase...

The service was a bit messy, they tried to charge me twice when I already paid online. Good room with a nice view of the harbor and comfortable bed.

We had a wonderful stay at this lovely hotel. From the moment we checked in to the moment we left, the staff could not have been more friendly and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble for them. Claudia (on front desk) and Fasie (not sure I've spelt his name right) in the rooftop bar went out of their way to make us feel special. But, as I've said, everybody went out of their way to ensure we had a lovely experience. The breakfasts were incredible - everything imaginable that one could want and constantly replenished. The amount of choice was extraordinary and everything super fresh. The location of the hotel was perfect for both accessing the water front and being able to walk from the hotel into the centre. When we return (which we will) we shall choose a different category of room. Our room was a courtyard option which we found very dark with nowhere to sit. There were two very uncomfortable, barely functional, chairs, so even having a morning coffee in the room was not very appealing. However, the bathroom was excellent, which is so important. Can't recommend this hotel highly enough. We are hoping to return in May 2025.

The AC Hotel de Palma is about 5 mins walk to the marina and then approx. 10 mins along the seafront promenade, known as Paseo Maritimo to the Cathedral and Old Town. Alternatively, we made a left out of the hotel and walked into the old town area, with restaurants and chic boutiques also within 10-15 mins. Thank you David for making our check in easy and for providing us with a lovely room (502) with a view out to the water and towards the cathedral which became illuminated at night. Thanks for dealing with our attempts to speak the language too. The hotel rents bikes which are very comfortable to ride. We biked up to the rare circular Bellver Castle about 30 mins away. Well worth the uphill haul to the top to to see out towards the city of Palma, the coastline in front and the mountainous terrain behind it. We also road along waterfront towards the airport and past sandy beaches, marinas and cafes. At times the bike path got very busy with bike traffic and scooters, but the ride was well worth the sea views too. The hotel bar area with its vegetative green wall and open concept was a lovely way to unwind with a glass of wine in the evenings. Thank you to all for making our stay so relaxing and easy-going!!

Outstanding stay at the hotel Saratoga, the hotel is very well managed, perfectly located and the rooms are spacious and very comfortable. The breakfast is extensive and reasonably priced. We were a group of friends and truly appreciated the warm welcome and support given by Fausta and her team there especially Carie despite having made some mistakes in our bookings they were superbly supportive and helped us sort out our rooms. I have been coming to Mallorca for a very long time and highly recommend this hotel. If booked in advance, it is also possible to get a parking place very close to the hotel. Overall a super stay at the Saratoga and a very big thank to all the staff there including the colleagues working on the nice roof top bar.
