Bournemouth Hotels with Balcony

I went for Afternoon Tea with the ladies for my birthday on the 8th June and the service was exceptional. The staff went above and beyond and even gave us a complimentary bottle of Prosecco. The food was delicious. My boyfriend surprised me two weeks later for my birthday and took me for a spa day with lunch. It was absolutely jam packed like sardines in the inside spa area. There were no beds available and you could barely move. We had no welcome drinks on arrival or any ‘happy birthday’ from the spa staff even though my boyfriend specifically mentioned it twice that it was my special surprise birthday. We turned up in loungewear thinking we’d be dining in our robes and slippers like we had done previously at other top spa hotels. But we had to get changed back into our clothes to have lunch. I was absolutely mortified that I had to have Sunday lunch with people dressed in their Sunday best with suits and cocktail dresses like I did for my birthday Afternoon Tea to only be told on arrival that there wasn’t a spa lunch area for spa guests. I felt so out of place and stared at as if I was a tramp off the street. Why isn’t there any info about this when booking?! Also, who wants to put a wet swimming costume back on after lunch. What a stupid concept. Totally ruined my day. Another major ick - kids screaming and splashing in the spa pools! Big no no! I was there to relax and wind down. I was so put off that my boyfriend and I left as quick as possible. Parking is a shambles - £12 parking in a car park 10 minutes away so we had to trek in the pouring rain to arrive looking like drowned rats.

Ultimate holiday destination at Dorset, SW England, with sun, beach, sea and pool (and lots of bubbles), friendly staff, vacation mood and good nibbles. Always busy always happening :)

Nice hotel, not far from the beach. Breakfast was good but was only until 9.30am. Rooms were nice, spacious and clean we had a balcony room with lovely views of the beach, the rooms were quite hot and no A.C which is needed in hot weather. The outdoor pool is heated but no indoor pool for when the weather isn’t good. Staff were helpful and friendly.

Stayed couple of nights it was cheaper to park out on main road then what it was to pay hotel for parking, Room a bit on small side with small tv on the wall, didn’t pay extra for breakfast so don’t know what it was like or have time to use the amenities, our room was clean and bathroom was clean would definitely go back to hotel

The hotel lobby is beautiful, the restaurant food is good, the breakfast is rich, the waiter is very friendly, the service is good, the hotel is very close to the beach, the environment is beautiful, the water is clear and the sand is young! Highly recommended

Bought a virgin experience day afternoon tea for mother's Day. We got round to having it today. Booked two months ago. Confirmed the booking by phone last night. Drive 1.5hrs to get to the hotel. Arrived and were seated l, got given a pot of tea. 20mins later we were told they couldn't find our booking (my mother and I and another couple who came in at the same time as us, on their 50th anniversary...4 of us) but had seated four other people for afternoon tea instead of us 4. They told us to wait and they'd sort out our afternoon tea. 45 mins later were told the chef basically wasn't going to be bothered to make us our sandwiches etc so we'd have to choose off the menu instead and it would be two courses and some drinks included. Asked for the club sandwich advertised on either brown or white bread. They had no brown bread. Eventually got food nearly 1.25hrs after arriving. Waiter then had the audacity to expect me to pay for drinks despite saying they were included. We had already cashed in our voucher to pay for afternoon tea and although the food was ok it wasn't what we wanted or travelled all that way for. They tried to accommodate us being there but we were made to feel like a complete after thought and it dampened the whole experience. The tea pot looked nice and that was the extent of our afternoon tea. They said we could take cakes home with us and when we asked them to pack them so we could take them away we were given the line they couldn't pack them due to health and safety and I was given a bag to pack them ourselves which made me laugh. Was a bit of a disaster and disappointment all around considering we booked well in advance. We confirmed by phone the night before then couldn't find us a day later. Knowing the difference between **** and elbow springs to mind. I think they cocked up giving the four of our bookings to another party then didn't know how to handle the situation. Wont go back there !!!
