We stayed in a two bedroom villa for 11 days. There was only two of us but the villa would happily fit in 4 people. The bedrooms are huge and clean and each has its own open air bathroom. The kitchen had enough for us to be able to eat and drink and there was a water filter in the villa too. There were two problems during our stay and the hotel fixed both problems within 24 hours. One was the water heater for the shower and one was the air con in one of the rooms - so I can't fault that! Location wise - it is in a very busy traffic area so you need to be able to negotiate the traffic chaos - this wasn't a problem for us but you should be aware of it. Breakfast was simple tasty and well priced. I would happily stay here again. There is a laundry about 500m away from the accomodation.

I would like to express my gratitude for the exceptional service provided by the hotel reception staff during our stay in Astera Resort Canggu. When we encountered a problem with our room, the staff was quick to assist and went above and beyond to ensure that we had a memorable and comfortable experience. They not only resolved the issue promptly but also upgraded us to a more luxurious room for the remainder of our vacation. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a memorable and delightful stay in Bali.

We stayed 1 night (19-20 October 2019), with an order on behalf of the wife. The location of the hotel is in the city center with large highways, so traffic jams are rare. Opposite the hotel is a 24-hour mini market, so it's easy to buy something. But you have to be more aware when crossing, because the road is always congested & vehicles are passing very fast. Parking & drop offs Guests are quite spacious, making it easier for those who bring vehicles. The hotel lobby is closed without any signposts or staff standing guard at the front door, making it confused for the first time staying here. We arrived at the hotel around 14:30 pm, then we checked in very easily & quickly. Not forgetting we were also given a welcome drink, which was refreshing on a hot afternoon. But it's a pity, the bellboy didn't help us carry things to the room. The bellboy staff just kept quiet, without any initiative to help. Even though we brought 2 bags, along with 2 toddlers who would be very helpful if the bellboy had the initiative. We got a room on the 2nd floor (225), with a view of the city. Large bed, according to what we ordered. The room contains a table, chairs, telephone, ample storage, plenty of clothes hangers (no closet), a water heater, 2 drinking cups, 2 bottles of mineral water & some sachets of tea and coffee. The air conditioner works well, because it feels cold quickly. Cable tv with various channels, but unfortunately a little bit shaded. Complete toiletries, shampoo, bar soap / liquid, toothpaste & toothbrush, tissue and body lotion. There is no hair dryer provided, may have to ask first. The bathroom uses a shower, but unfortunately a large shower for adults cannot be used. Water pressure is also very less, and does not release enough heat. The swimming pool is divided into 2 levels (adult & childs), with a sufficient size of both. But the path to the children's pool is not maintained, in the form of sand with grass and the surrounding area is poorly maintained. So after the kids ”swim, their feet will get dirty with the ground to go to the rinse. At night we try to order food at the hotel (room service), at a very affordable price. We order sandwiches, fried rice, fried noodles, chicken soto & french fries (all of which have a pretty good taste). Tomorrow morning we have breakfast, with a varied menu with good taste too (cereals, bread, rice and various ”side dishes). Overall, we enjoyed staying at this hotel. But it would be nice if the shortcomings we get, can be fixed in the future. Thanks & Regards Ryan Valiant

Great location in Canggu. The villa is tucked away from the main street so it’s quiet and cosy. You can expect to see lizards and bugs outside the bedroom (i.e. bathroom, pool, and kitchen area) and keep a mosquito repellent handy as there are mosquitoes! On the plus side, the amenities are great - we loved that there’s Google Alexa and Netflix in our room, perfect to start and end the day with. Service is also very lovely and the staff are friendly.

Our first stay back in Bali! It’s on a quiet street so we slept well with only the sounds from the nearby construction to tell us the sun came up. Astera Villa Canggu was equipped with modern appliances that you would ever need. The beds are large and the rooms are even more spacious with a built-in hammock by the corner. The weather was great during our stay for us to enjoy both the jacuzzi and the pool. The only disappointment was when they couldnt grant my request for a special arrangement from the day before check-in. Wished they had put in the extra effort to enhance our stay experience as we were celebrating a special occasion.

a regular guesthouse in the center of Canggu. curtains are not blackout. In the morning the roosters crow. They are building and sawing something nearby. There is also a lot of noise from the motorbikes. There are few people in the guesthouse. The rooms on the first floor will smell of mold, but you can negotiate and move into the second or third floor. the owners are Balinese and live nearby

If you don’t mind splurging, this is definitely a great place to stay for your Bali trip. The design of the hotel, both internal and external, is well-thought and curated perfectly. We were simply in awe of the architecture and design of the hotel. Our room was just perfect. Minimal design coupled with the calm ambience, certainly elevated our stay experience. The moment you stepped in, you will know how much time has been spent to ensure customers’ experience is not wasted. We like to give a special shout-out to Ingrid who made sure our stay was memorable. She is helpful and friendly, one of the best hospitality we have experienced. In a nutshell, definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants to experience the other side of luxury Bali.

Amazing hotel, one of the most beautiful I stayed in! Very comfortable, the room has everything you need. The staff is very friendly and helpful, they even helped me to deliver my luggage by car when my taxi driver didn’t come after check out. The food in the restaurant is very good, I asked for the floating breakfast and it was just perfect. Thank you so much for my stay, looking forward to return back again!

I am very pleased and enjoyed thoroughly my 5 nights stay! The setting of the entire villa is soothing, secluded with lots of privacy. The staff and service are most welcoming and commendable! They are all very accommodating and tried their best for adhoc requests which most impressive. Special mention and thank you to Soma who is so enthusiastic and energetically efficient. Pro active and constantly checking if everything is ok. I will definitely return on my future trips! Thank you all kindly for your great and hospitable service!
