Stayed here for 1 night (work trip) with a stay, spa, dinner and breakfast package. It was perfect from start to finish! Lovely immaculate room (with a super comfy super king sized bed) with stunning views of the coast … the location itself is breathtaking. I had probably the best massage I’ve ever had in the spa with lovely tranquil surroundings! The pool and sauna area is lovey too. The 3 course meal was absolutely delicious (as were the cocktails) and the staff were all so lovely too! One of the best places I’ve ever stayed in (and I travel quite a lot) and at 156 euros for the package was amazing value for money … can’t recommend this place enough I’ll definitely be back x

Lovely hotel for its views and staff but massively let down by the food ....I always look forward to food and breakfast but unfortunately I found it very under par breakfast was half cold and the eggs were like rubber dinner again was just OK nothing special and with this I would not return ....although I can't fault the staff and scenery....our room was fairy standard although I couldn't run a bath only the shower would work . Its a good price and a lovely clean hotel but not for me for 4 stars

I have just spent 5 nights at this wonderful hotel. The room was a standard room, very comfortable, clean and was "home from home". I cannot speak highly enough of all the staff. Nothing was a bother, and everyone was so friendly and helpful. The restaurant food was a high quality, and plenty of choices on offer. This hotel may have a 4 star rating - but reflecting on my holiday, to me it was a 5 star experience!

I stayed in this lodge for a wedding. The wedding was on 1st of August which was the day I booked in. We traveled 2 hours and asked could we book in a little bit earlier to get changed. The receptionist was so so helpful soo nice and made sure we were booked in in time to get dressed for the wedding. The staff was amazing. Food was amazing the floor manager checked every table to make sure we got our food hot and on time. The breakfast was lovely. Rooms were comfortable big too hot but that’s okay. I would highly recommend this beautiful lodge hotel. Beautiful stunning views.

For a 4 stars restaurant I was really shocked all frozen food for a Sunday roast served with mash and no roast potatoes over cooked meet and a little gravy boat ... as a chef myself I'd be ashamed of sending that out of the kitchen and uf you ask for French mustard... forget about it ... they kindly give me a bottle of wine ...many thanks but didn't change the quality of the food

We stayed for 2 nights in this lovely hotel which we have stayed in before. The rooms are a good size and clean, we found the room to be quite stuffy this even with windows open but that's just the time of year. The only thin wrong with the room was the tv, there was a wee black box at the the top I'm assuming for signal but it could take ages to get the picture right, turning the TV on and off several times. Breakfast is always great here, its probably my favourite part however on our first morning when we came down it was difficult to find staff to ask for tea and coffee and additional cutlery as the table had not been finished being set up. Bar this the selection is great and we always really enjoy it. The second morning was better organised. Included in our stay was a 3 course evening meal in the restaurant. The food was nice however the restaurant was very warm and we did not have much pleasure in eating. When we do come back I don't think I would opt for the offer with dinner again but this is just personal choice. The pool area was good and the girl on reception was very helpful however for younger children I would maybe bring armbands for the pool as my daughter who is 5 just about managed to touch the bottom. On our first full day we went to the beach in the morning then came up in the afternoon and ordered from the light bites menu, we were all really impressed and it was really good so much so we decided to do have lunch the day we were going home. However it was not to the same standard and very disappointing, my partner ordered a chicken salad sandwich and when it came down it was a piece of dry chicken with a lettuce leaf in white bread, it was really disappointing especially when the day before it was so good. They were expecting a bus load of customers so this was probably why the lunch was so poor, it seemed like it was rushed out, which shouldn't be an excuse. Despite these few issues we would definitely return, the hotel is lovely inside and out and location is great, staff are all very friendly and welcoming.

We arrived to very kind and helpful staff. The view is beautiful. Unfortunately, their advertising that this is a “luxury hotel” is no where near accurate. We booked a family room and were given a standard room with a cot in the corner. Photos online show a king bed with a twin on either side. We were given a single bed, a cot and something a tad smaller than a queen bed. Open used shower cap and dirty glasses in the room upon arrival. The sheets are coarse and the pillows are very firm and flat. Mattresses are worn out. The bathroom had ample space, but finishes are cheap and tiny. Despite this, the door still slams into the sink upon entering. A lavish 24” tv provides 4 channels for the kids to unwind after a long day of exploring. Kids are not allowed in the hot tub, nor is anyone allowed in the pool without a swimming cap. They’ll gladly sell this to you so you are in compliance with their rules though. Luxury at its peak I tell you. The rooms are in disrepair, have a hodge podge of lights and furniture, all which appears to be on its last leg. Please, if you want to call your self luxury, go visit a true luxury hotel for a few nights. The Westbury in Dublin is a start, or any Four Seasons hotel across the world. Try to reproduce this as best you can, with the area and clientele in mind. Get new mattresses. Yours currently sag and dig into your body. Upgrade your linens and pillows. Spend a night in each of the rooms in your hotel and mark the problems and FIX them. Update your online descriptions, they are currently not accurate. Keep the staff, they are the only thing helping you in what could be a wonderful hotel.

We booked ballyliffin lodge for a girls spa night away for my mums 70th birthday and was not disappointed. The hotel is beautiful and food was 10 out of 10. The rooms were massive as there was 6 of us plenty of room of us all in the 2 rooms. The staff are helpful and courteous. The spa treatments were an amazing experience would definitely recommend so relaxing and professional. Only thing was the noise from a wedding but was done by 1am and we were invited into the reception by the wedding party before we went to bed unfortunately our room was above the reception room but as I said was done by 1am but for families with young children maybe ask for room away from reception rooms. Other than that loved our stay location is amazing with gorgeous views and staff were lovely. Would definitely return.
