Upper Normandy Hotels with Bars

Hubby & I stayed here for 3 nights & the room was lovely. We stayed in room 310, it had lots of space & awesome views of the river to one side and the opera house/theatre on the other. - The bed was comfy too. Bathroom was spacious enough & good hot water pressure. The staff were kind & helpful. We hired a car & there was no problem in parking on street or in the hotel car park. The breakfast was DELICIOUS as well! Close to shops, Cathedral / Churches and lots of yummy restaurants all around. We would absolutely stay here again & recommend to family & friends to stay here too!

I had a very enjoyable experience at the Jost Hotel. The stay was excellent value for money as the self-checkin process was very fast and easy to manage. Moreover the hotel and the room itself was super clean and all the amenities mentioned were available. They have an excellent restaurant on premises and there was a disco/music night on the day we stayed there, so the vibe was very nice in the hotel. The hotel is located right in the center of the city. Overall really happy with my stay. Excellent value for money. Will surely stay here again if I ever visit Le Havre.

The location is excellent, the old town is within a few steps, and the train station is within walking distance. The interior of the hotel combines tradition and modernity. The swimming pool on the lower floor of the lobby is a highlight of the hotel, with moderate water temperature and a quiet environment. The hotel is affiliated with Marriott Group and the service is in place. After the guests check in, the front desk of the hotel must be praised by the non-luggage service staff accompanying the room. The service has not been experienced by the domestic five-star hotel. Breakfast Western style, small and exquisite environment, the only regret is that there is no Asian variety.

We reached Erawan pretty late, at dark, in a snow day. Because communication channel with Trip.com did g allow the owner to reach us (phone nor email), we reached an empty, closed venue. Which I have to stay is pretty upsetting when it is -2 outside. However, after few phone calls, and relevant explanations, we got welcomed warmly by the owner and the neighbor business owner and we moved in accordingly. Thank you to the neighbor businessman to help us carry our heavy luggage till the 2nd floor!! Beautiful house and deco; beautiful bedroom BUT, extremely cold toilet and bathroom (supposed to be a hammam??? We never found the way to turn it into a hammam…. It is gorgeous…. But… damn cold!) Again, the house is very beautifully decorated which was so nice to experiment for breakfast. Do try this place which bedrooms names are themed on Thailand! :-)

2 nights for a city tour. Not far from the center. Well located, fairly quiet, decent room with comfortable bedding. Decent breakfast, but not much choice.

Here's a unique hotel - housed in a old mansion from the 1900s. This means that each room in the original wing is a little different and 'eclectic'. There's also a new wing with newer rooms, a spa, a swimming pool (sorta heated), a bistro and a 1 Michelin star restaurant. Pros: - Unique style of hotel that's set away from the hustle/bustle of the Etritat town. - Helpful staff - Complimentary bakes and hot drinks from 4-6pm - Michelin-star restaurant on site (but it was closed during our visit) - Comfortable beds, good water pressure and a bathtub - Professional grade Nespresso machine in-room with 4 pods (2x decaf) + nice tea bags - Grounds are cute, with a resident cat, fireplace and pleasant garden-ish spaces. Cons: - Cleanliness - we discovered a swarm of ants crawling behind the curtain. We think it was some food that wasn't cleaned away from the previous guest that attracted the ants. This was gross. - Room styling may not be to everyone's tastes - suggest you ask to view a room before you move your luggage in. - Narrow stairs to rooms in main building, was abit hard to get luggage up to but they can get help if needed. - Location could be a con for some as it's a good 10-12 min walk into the main down down a high. - Parking spaces were limited. - Breakfast is pricey at 25 euro - there's a great boulangerie in town Maison Piquenot that you can get good croissants, baguettes from. - Overall abit pricey for the value you get.

The stay experience was superb, the hotel was in a great location, very close to the business district/scenic area/subway station, and it was super worry-free on foot. The room is spacious, the lighting and ventilation are very good, the hygiene is particularly in place, the corners are spotless, the bedding is soft and skin-friendly, and the quality of toiletries is online. The staff is attentive and thoughtful, the check-in and check-out speed is fast, the demand response is timely, the hotel's breakfast is rich in variety and tastes good. The overall experience is full, I highly recommend it to everyone!

We were welcomed at the reception with courtesy, our room was ready 1.5h before check-in. The hotel offers a free parking, but with a free charger. 15 minutes walk from the very comfortable centre.

If you want to experience La vraie vie de chateau (a real life a a castle owner) this is your choice. Only 5 rooms available, very private, feels like you are in your own chateau… fabulous park and setting around the main building, was told there are other separate “mini” houses in the park , and you can go watch the horses…. And admire the view on the valley. Our room: we booked the round bedroom … the center bedroom on the 1st floor…. Fabulous place, need a bit of upgrade in the bathroom… if anything… but seriously felt like a châtelain… as we reached early, we were welcomed by one of the sons of the owners who took us around the private wing, “his house”, and told us everything about the mansion history as well as hotel business. A great interaction with a friendly castle owner and businessman. They also have a snooker, a gym and sauna…. I mean… what else do you want!!! We had to go out for dinner (at L’Hermitage) which the owner booked for us. Breakfastwas served in the salons…. Stylish French dépit déjeuner, served by a dynamic, friendly and frank lady. Just go. Dont hesitate.

This is such a cozy and romantic little hotel; they gave us a prime balcony room. Parking is convenient in the courtyard, and it's easy to walk to Elephant Trunk Hill. There's also a shopping street and a Carrefour supermarket nearby. The hotel breakfast was delicious; I especially loved the fresh applesauce.
