"We visited in july 2025, and had a great stay. Travelling with two teenage boys ages 15 and 17 we were given adjoining rooms on the top floor of the châteaux. (No elevator, so if you are not good with stairs, book on lower floors). Rooms had fridge, aircondition and chairs and table so we could keep water cool and have a game of cards in the evenings. The swimmingpool is heated and never crowded. No-one reserves sunbeds by placing towels, so there is always room for you and the hotel provides bathrobes and slippers for all guests. There is also an indoor swimmingpool that my husband and son used on a rainy day, and they said it was lovely. The garden is beautiful and tranquile, and a perfect place to relax with a paper or book. A special thanks to Flavian, the concierge, who showed us around, told the story of the châteaux and its gardens and was eager to share tips and advise on what to see and do in the region. Our French is very limited, so it was nice to get friendly help in english. ♥️"

"Whilst the staff were polite and helpful, the room was below par, mainly due to the pathetic Air Conditioning. I stayed overnight in the middle of August, where the outside temperature was about 35 degrees. The 'air conditioning' was like an asthmatic man blowing on you, it was pathetic. It didn't cool the room at all. The control unit for the AC was flashing an error code U17, suggesting it needed maintenance. Stay could have been so much better, but completely let down by a room which was like a sauna! So glad I bought my own mini fan and left that running all night to make it bearable. Also, the reception appears to be closed until 17:00, so if you arrive before that, like I did, then you are screwed for checking in! I had to hang around until 17:00 to check in, which wasn't great after a six and a half hour drive in scorching heat. Would I stay hear again? NO!"

"I spent 3 wonderful nights at Manoir de Surville in October 2023. Camille and Hugues were excellent hosts. The property is magnificent and the accommodations were very comfortable. I enjoyed one dinner in the restaurant which featured local, delicious and innovative cuisine. I came to this area of Normandy to follow a 3 day cooking coarse in Louviers at On Rue Tatin with Susan Herrmann Loomis. By car, I was an easy 15 minute drive away. This location strikes me as a very good spot to settle into while doing the "Normandy Tour". Hope to return sometime soon. Many thanks Camille and Hughes. Donna Toronto, Canada "

"The hotel is a private residence located in the town center, with private parking. It's very conveniently located within walking distance of surrounding attractions. The garden is tranquil, the interior is beautifully decorated, and the rooms and bathrooms are spacious with balconies. Cleanliness is impeccable, and there is ample storage space. The owners and staff are warm and welcoming, and their culinary skills are superb; dinner and breakfast are both exquisite and delicious. Ideal for couples or small families for a short stay."

"Located on a mountain, you can drive to the top. The signs are clear and accurate. There is no elevator in the old castle, so you have to carry your own luggage. We arrived a bit late and didn't get to use many of the facilities. The bedding was very comfortable."

"I made the big mistake of staying at this hotel in October with my brother. The first room was stinking after someone had been smoking in room 21 then moved to another room 31 where I WAS bitten so badly I had to go to the doctors to get antibiotics to help treat them. PLEASE DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY . From their disgusting reply they are delusional to think something this bad would be made up. I was scratching all the way home and didn’t realise just how bad they were until I saw them firsthand. And to make out everything was lovely is a joke. We deserve our money back from your flea ridden room."
