Semporna Hotels with Bars

Choosing Beanstalk Homestay for my Semporna trip was absolutely the right decision! The owner and staff are incredibly warm and welcoming, treating you like friends. Before I even arrived, they patiently answered all my questions and gave me tons of practical tips for island hopping and dining. While the room isn't luxurious, it's spotlessly clean, the AC works great, there's plenty of hot water, and the bedding is really comfortable. Getting a good night's sleep after a day of activities is so important. The service was the biggest plus! The seafood preparation prices were excellent, and the breakfast, though simple, was thoughtfully prepared – coffee, toast, and eggs, perfect for fueling up before heading out to sea. Next time I'm in Semporna, I'll definitely stay at Beanstalk Homestay again.

The rooms are a bit dated, but clean and tidy, and come with a spacious balcony. Most of the staff can speak Chinese, and their service is very enthusiastic, offering free airport transfers and island pick-up/drop-off. While the dining options aren't extensive, they cater well to Chinese tastes. It's true that there are many tourists taking photos, but it won't bother you much if you're just enjoying your own trip. Most importantly, the crystal-clear water allows you to clearly see fish, starfish, sea urchins, and turtles. The wooden cabins and walkways are surrounded by flowers, and occasionally Bajau people will paddle by in small boats selling coconuts and fresh seafood – these are truly unique features of the hotel.

The Popo Fish Water Bungalow offers incredible value for money, it's absolutely stunning! The water is so clean, and we were pleasantly surprised to find out we could book a diving experience during our two-day stay. All four of us agreed it was incredibly comfortable. The customer service representative was also very proactive in resolving any issues. When you go diving, make sure to eat on the boat and don't get off at the island.

This isn't a sponsored post; I'm genuinely just gushing because once you stay here, you'll understand how incredible it is! ✅ The service was unbelievably good, and having everything in Chinese was a huge relief 😭 From booking to check-in, all our WeChat communications were in Chinese, and they responded quickly and patiently. The most incredible part? We arrived after 10 PM, and the owner was still waiting for us! He even personally cooked us fried eggs and noodles 🍜. Eating that warm meal, I almost shed a tear… To get this kind of treatment in a foreign country truly warmed my heart. ✅ The room details were exceptional, and the built-in Chinese outlets were a stroke of genius 🔌 The room looked exactly like the pictures, but it was even bigger and more comfortable! Wooden floors plus cozy lighting really gave it a full vacation vibe. I especially want to praise the built-in Chinese outlets – you can charge your phone and camera without needing an adapter. That attention to detail completely blew me away. The bathroom was also huge, with a sliding glass shower door that even had a Chinese sticker saying ”slide right.” It was thoughtful beyond words. ✅ The large bathtub by the window offered an unbeatable view; soaking in it while enjoying the scenery was pure bliss 🛁 There was also a round bathtub by the window in the room, overlooking a small pond and greenery. Taking a bath at night with the night view was incredibly romantic! The bathroom was clean and bright too, making the whole experience top-notch. ✨ Overall Impression: When you're traveling, ”the experience” is truly paramount! From the owner to the staff, from the facilities to the service, this place is all about delivering an amazing experience. It's not a cold, impersonal hotel; it's more like having a reliable friend taking care of you in Semporna. The free shuttle service to and from the pier was super convenient too! To sum it up in one sentence: If I ever come back to Semporna, I'm definitely staying at this hotel again – it's truly, truly, truly great!! 💯💯💯

We stayed for three consecutive nights, and it was absolutely fantastic! I highly recommend this place for families or couples. It boasts a beautiful tropical jungle setting, perfect for nature walks where you can spot plenty of wildlife. This is a truly excellent hotel that provides complimentary city shuttle service, making everything incredibly convenient and hassle-free. They offer personalized butler service, and the kitchen excels at preparing various seafood and delicious Cantonese cuisine – simply superb! Semporna itself is amazing! You can go hiking and take in stunning views of the emerald-green sea; make sure to seize every opportunity. Booking island hopping tours through the hotel was very cost-effective. We got two snorkeling sessions, each lasting about half an hour, and it was incredible! We saw countless fish and vibrant coral reefs. We ended up staying in Semporna for eight or nine days. The sea fishing was fantastic! We actually caught fish – small groupers and redfish, medium-sized, and plenty for a delicious dinner! We even added an arm-long mantis shrimp to our meal. It was a perfect experience! I haven't fished in ages, and I was so surprised to actually catch fish here, especially since I'd rented a fishing boat on another island in a different country before and caught absolutely nothing.

The value for money is decent, and it's not too far from town. If you're looking for a quieter stay, this could be a good option. The owner speaks a little Chinese. The service wasn't overly enthusiastic but perfectly adequate. No deposit was required for the stay.

We stayed for 3 nights and had a great experience. We could pet cats and even saw monkeys 🐒, and my friend saw squirrels too! Breakfast was different every day and delicious. On the third day, we had to catch our flight at 6 am, and they still prepared breakfast for us. The service was excellent, and they offered free shuttle service to town, which was very convenient overall. There's also a swimming pool, and the island hopping tour in Semporna was beautiful. If I have the chance next time, I would definitely stay at Timba Garden again and visit Semporna's Jelly Beach again.

Great Location, Resraurant downstairs, supermarket nearby, 10mins walk to waterfront anf all the waterfront/ water sports attractions. Bed/warm showers OK. Room very small, just enough to walk in/out, no wardrobe, glass door opens outwards, thin walls, can hear noisy neighbours.

Strategic location. Convenient to go surfing and food. Very nice in house restaurant for sunset
