"The hotel is similar to other City Comfort Inn, the amenities good and room clean, toilet is good too. The staff servicing is wonderful., the counter told that their windows room does not have a city view instead its facing the residential units. Too bad, I was hoping for city view.
My only concern on this hotel is that the location is not really near the main shopping district, you need to walk about 2km or take taxi. During my 5 days stay I still didnt manage to use the metro as a convenient transport, instead I walk or get ehailing driver to pick up.
Another difficulty I have is that the drop off and pick up point for taxi or e hailing car is block by motorcycle lane, so its difficult to carry luggage and go through fast riding motorcyclist.
There are many eateries within 10 minutes walk, and there are TCM pharmacy as well bread store just beside the hotel.
Its fine if you are traveling lite and staying few days. Just don't expect its really at main shopping district or near mall."

"Facilities: The facilities are quite new, and the hardware is excellent. The lobby environment is also very good. The breakfast was also great! Very rich indeed. I loved it, but my mom thought it was just okay.
Cleanliness: I didn't find any issues.
Environment: The location is superb, close to everything, and incredibly close to the high-high-speed train station.
Service: A special shout-out for the service! Every staff member was wonderful! They genuinely tried to solve every problem encountered, not just going through the motions. They truly thought about how to resolve issues. I had to change rooms midway due to a minor issue, and the new room was not only clean and tidy but every single item was placed exactly as it was in my original room! Incredible attention to detail!"

Jjy****After a lot of deliberation, we chose the Grand Hyatt for our last night in Kunming, and it didn't disappoint. The location is excellent, not too far from both the high-speed train station and the airport. The front desk upgraded our room, and Walter Yu provided exceptional butler service during our stay. The breakfast was plentiful, with both Western and Chinese options, and the array of special Yunnan snacks was particularly appealing.

MMarc1The hotel is beautifully located by a serene, quiet lake, making it an excellent choice for a relaxing stay. It is particularly popular among families with children, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
The breakfast is fantastic, especially if you go early in the morning when the food is freshly prepared. However, later in the day, the selection may not be as fresh.
While the staff does not speak English, navigating your stay is still manageable with some basic Chinese and the help of Google Translate—just as it is in many parts of China.
I highly recommend booking a room with a spa on the balcony. These rooms are located on the second floor, offering greater privacy and more outdoor space. The spa feature itself can be a bit tricky to use—you need to ensure the water level is just right, as too much or too little will prevent it from working properly.
Overall, the hotel is very clean, and the staff is accommodating and responsive to any requests. If you’re looking for a peaceful getaway with excellent amenities, this is a great choice.

11390658****This room was exactly my type! I specifically chose to spend my last day here to relax. The open-air bath, with a milk and rose petal soak, just washed all my fatigue away! The whole guesthouse's design has a very Japanese feel, making me feel like I was actually in Japan. The breakfast was also incredibly rich and detailed, served individually, and entirely made with Yunnan specialty dishes! The butler was also very attentive and thoughtfully brought us things, making us feel very comfortable and secure during our stay. I would definitely want to stay at a guesthouse like this for three or four days next time! It's conveniently located within the World Expo Garden, but due to time constraints, I couldn't stay longer. I will absolutely come back next time!

GGuest UserWanted a special place for some relaxing time together. Do not want to try the usual hotel in the city. After going through the photos, decided to give it a try. And voila….. absolutely no regrets choosing this hotel. The service provided was top notch, the staff are friendly, courteous and prompt. Housekeeping staff always clean up the villa to a level which I had no way to complain. Always willing to go the extra miles in providing personal services to the guests. The Villa I booked had a private hot spring and a huge garden which had the best view in my opinion. Every evening, we are able to watch the sunset in our private garden. It was really out of this world, couples must definitely try it. Everyday the hotel will provide a fruit basket and top up the bar counter with drinks and snacks at no costs. The ever-friendly staff (Miss Lee) even told me to let her know if there are any fruits I would like, she would arrange to fill it up in the fruit basket. She even check with me a few times if there are anything she could do to improve the stay with the hotel. Kudos to the management team for instilling this high service standard. Miss Lee even contacted me after I check out to ask for my feedback. Keep up the wonderful work. I will definitely be back. For this trip is filled with so much wonderful memories. Thanks to the team.

The breakfast is rich and varied, from traditional Chinese breakfast to exquisite Western pastries, each one is mouth-watering. The ingredients are fresh and the taste is very delicious, which makes people satisfied and happy. The hotel's restaurant environment is elegant, and the waiter's service is also very thoughtful, making the dining process very pleasant.
The location of the hotel is also very advantageous, the transportation is very convenient, and there are many shopping malls, supermarkets and attractions around, which is very convenient for shopping and playing.
I am very satisfied with this stay experience. Next time I come to this city, I will definitely choose this hotel again. Highly recommended to everyone!

AAliya0302It is definitely more wedding venue, more local oriented, very nice territory around, good for photoshoot and stuff , nice and friendly staff helped me a lot, but it was a bit confusing in general, like i booked it cause of hotsprings and outdoor pool, turns out you cannot use the outdoor pool and from all hot things was working only one stone bath. So basically we ended up in a very strange situation when 3 groups of people have or to wait in line to that bath or seat on each other. However Indoor pool was nice, big and clean, but bring your towel. The room itself is ...let's say not cosy and a lot reminded a changing room, probably cause of sink right next to the bed. So sum up, good place to have fun, massage, spa say, nice photos and so on, but maybe not a best place to stay for tourist.

GGuest UserA very warm treasure hotel. Our family received souvenirs and welcome tea as soon as we arrived at the hotel, which was very ceremonial. Because there were not many tourists, the hotel seemed particularly secluded. Whether it was the private soup in the courtyard or the Pu'er tea, they were all of very high quality. The children enjoyed feeding the seagulls every day. The food was a little simple during the Spring Festival. A male waiter in the restaurant (forgot his name) was very enthusiastic. The green vegetables were all from the hotel's own vegetable garden, which was very natural. The back door of the hotel leads directly to Yangzonghai Shijiazui Park, and the scenery is invincible. In short, I was very satisfied. Thanks to the housekeeper for his meticulous service. Five-star praise. Recommended to travelers who like to relax and get close to nature.

Before we even arrived, she proactively reached out to understand our needs and reserved a room with an incredible view of Dianchi Lake. The floor-to-ceiling windows offered breathtaking panoramic scenery of the lake and mountains. During our stay, she patiently introduced us to the facilities, including the breakfast restaurant on the 49th floor and the executive lounge. She also shared travel tips for attractions like Xunzhen New Village and Cuihu Park, and even provided us with a local guide and food recommendations. From promptly addressing our requests to her meticulous attention to detail, Mia's professionalism and warmth perfectly embodied French hospitality, making us feel incredibly welcomed. On our next visit to Kunming, we will definitely choose Sofitel again, and a special thanks to Mia for her dedicated efforts!

MM508628****Flora was very professional and excellent at problem-solving. When we had an issue with our room, she was able to offer reasonable solutions. The housekeeping supervisor, however, was unprofessional, and the rooms weren't cleaned properly by the housekeeping department. Overall, the front desk and concierge made up for the unpleasant parts of our trip. The hotel facilities are comprehensive, the private hot spring's temperature and view were both great and very photogenic, and the public areas are also spacious. It's well-suited for travel with many attractions nearby, and it's very quiet at night.

MM457492****Unexpectedly, I randomly booked this hotel and it turned out to be amazing! It's newly renovated, but there's no lingering smell of renovation. The front desk lady was incredibly warm, thoughtful, and attentive. She even upgraded us to a deluxe standard room for free! The room was very clean, and the bedding was the white color I prefer, giving it a high-class feel, and it was super comfortable to lie on. The price was quite reasonable too, making it a hotel with excellent value for money. Highly recommend! Highly recommend!
