"The location is excellent, within walking distance of various attractions. City Hall is a two-minute walk away; Pipervika, the Oslo Fjord pier, is just a few steps left from the hotel; Akershus Fortress; the National Theatre, the Royal Palace, the Main Sculpture Park...
The room was small but comfortable, and hot water was available from the coffee machine near the front desk. The front desk service was excellent. Check-in was not until 3:00 PM, so I left my luggage and went out to explore. Overall, it was a great value."
The Scandic Holberg provides a great place for travelers to relax after a busy day. Visitors to Oslo will find that the Scandic Holberg is a fantastic accommodation choice. Boasting a convenient location, the hotel is just 700m from Nationaltheatret and 52km from Oslo Airport. Being just minutes away from Nationaltheatret Metro Station allows guests to explore the city with ease. This hotel is located near many of Oslo's attractions including Karl Johans gate, Oslo City Hall and Vika Movie Theater. When guests have some time on their hands they can make use of the onsite facilities. This hotel is a popular accommodation for couples.
"An old chain hotel in Oslo, it only takes 10 minutes to walk to the Peace Square and the Royal Palace, but the double rooms are on the roadside, there will be noise when the light rail passes by, but fortunately it is very quiet from 11:45 pm to 6:30 am! If you want to rest early at night, it is recommended to stay in a double room inside! The buffet is quite rich! But there is no kettle in the room, you can only get it in the lobby if you want to boil water!"

Amazing
GGuest UserI arranged the trip through Trip.com for a business trip where the schedule to meet another party in Evje Moen. It turned out that they could meet a day earlier than they had previously stated. Though I offered to Home Hotel Bastion that I delete 5/26 and substitute 5/30, that was not accepted. The problem was that Trips.com would not allow it, even though I announced the request by message before I left the U.S. There should have been a provision for making a change withing a reasonable amount of time.

Great
GGuest UserA beautiful room but experienced a number of disappointments.
Hotel guests must pay a supplement daily charge to use the swimming pools AND book at designated time slot. I have NEVER experienced this at any hotel anywhere in the world. I was in a premium room, but this policy applies to all guests, which I think is awful. It was also impossible to get a spa appointment during my stay. Zero preference given to hotel guests. I strongly suggest you book spa treatments at least a week in advance of your arrival. Also, there is no turndown service, unusual for a highly priced 5* hotel. Housekeeping also finishes very early, or isn’t interested in guests who don’t align with their schedule. I had to work in my room but left at 2:45pm and it was not cleaned despite signalling the room needed making up. The reception team were polite, but chaotic. Generally, the hotel restaurants seem more focused on catering to outside guests, which is a shame.
GGuest UserVery convenient.
Facilities: Good and well-maintained.
Cleanliness: Clean.
Environment: Excellent and very convenient. Buses are also very convenient, including the train station, bus station, restaurants, museums, and my favorite hotel.

Great
PpeterThe room is large and can open two large suitcases without any problem. The room facing the atrium is very quiet and you can sleep with the window open. The breakfast is very rich and the best we have had on this trip. The only drawback is that it is a little far from the city center, but the transportation is very convenient. Highly recommended!
KKenneth KhorOur family of four spent four nights at the Scandic Byporten and found it to be an excellent choice for our city adventure. The biggest highlight is undoubtedly the perfect, centralized location. Being directly connected to Oslo Central Station is a game-changer. Arriving by train was effortless, and getting around the city—whether by tram, metro, or on foot to sights like Karl Johans Gate—could not have been easier.
We appreciated the clean, functional, and quiet rooms. They provided everything we needed for a comfortable stay after busy days of exploring. While the rooms are modern and practical rather than overly spacious (typical for a central city hotel), they were perfectly adequate for our family.
The breakfast offered a fantastic variety, fueling us up each morning, and the staff were consistently friendly and helpful. They even provide disposable cups to take away coffee!

__WeChat495494****The room was very satisfying, and the hotel's location is excellent. I highly recommend this hotel when visiting Oslo. There's a restaurant on the top floor with a great view, though the food was just okay. The hotel breakfast is also worth trying.

Very Good
DDee KariyawasamLoved my stay at Quality Hotel Hasle Linie! The room was neat and the walk-in shower always welcome. Lounge and bar made socialising quite a comfortable experience and I very much appreciated the extremely very buffet breakfast with plenty of healthy options and tasty treats. Would book a stay again in a flash!
KKarenThe hotel’s location is superb, right by the Oslo S train station and by the main shopping district and main sights.
Hotel itself seems rather old. The bathroom especially felt like something out of the 1980s. It was small and water pressure was weak. Also there was no bath mat provided, nor any tissue paper, and no amenities like toothpaste toothbrush or shower cap.
As we had paid for a larger room, our room was spacious. But it was noisy from people shouting in the street below even at late hours. Also the hotel did not turn on its central heating nor air conditioning. So the room felt stuffy and you would have to open a window.
What saves the hotel is the excellent service. Staff were accommodating on requests we made, including for a takeaway breakfast box on our last day as we were taking an early train.

Very Good
GGuest UserThe location is very good, the subway station and the bus station are out, there are supermarkets and paid parking lots around, self-driving and public transportation are very convenient, it is recommended to choose this one.
AAdaline MasudaTruly one of the best hotel stays I have ever experienced. The hotel staff went above and beyond to ensure we were well accommodated and comfortable throughout. When we arrived at the hotel it was 11AM, so I mentioned to the front desk staff that I know it was far too early for us to receive our room (check in is typically at 3PM) and that we would like to simply drop off our bags. Without any special requests, the front desk staff immediately prepared our room keys of us to check in right away, which was hugely appreciated since we had caught a very early morning flight in. We loved the room. It was very comfortable for the 3 of us, although a bit tight but that's what we expected for hotel rooms in Europe. The bathroom was well fitted and had all the basic toiletries required (shampoo, body wash, hand soap), however we hoped to have body lotion as well, so we asked housekeeping whether any was available and they immediately brought 3 LARGE bottles for each of us to use. I have never seen such massive toiletries and in such generous quantities supplied at any hotel before, which again made us feel very well taken care of. Finally on our check out day our flight was not until 6PM and since checkout is typically at 11AM I requested for just a 1 hr extension. Although they were very busy for it being the beginning of summer holidays, without any hesitation the front desk staff extended our checkout time to 3PM. I was once again very pleasantly surprised and appreciative. My last note is to touch on the complimentary tea and coffee always available in the lobby, as well as the fabulous buffet breakfast they served. Cannot recommend this hotel enough!
