Tromso Hotels with Bars

A great place to just stay and view northern lights just outside just at the farm. 10-12 rooms so very nice experience. Have restaurant that you can hide from the cold easily and you can step out to view the northern lights when they are out. FYI: photos uploaded are taken by iPhone

The hotel is quite close to the ferry terminal, and there's a bus stop right across the street, making it very convenient for getting to tourist attractions. Pedestrian-friendly areas, like a walking street, are within easy reach, and there are restaurants and a supermarket nearby. The room itself was a bit small, but the cleanliness was acceptable. In the lobby, they offer water and coffee, but the cups provided were quite dirty, so I'd recommend using your own mug.

The location is fantastic! It's super close to the reindeer meeting point, the Northern Lights meeting point, and the bus stop. We were traveling with a toddler and stayed in a business room, which was very spacious with two 1.6m beds and still plenty of room. My only slight disappointment was that the pictures showed scenic views, but we were given a room on the 4th floor with a view of a rooftop and only the tip of a church steeple, which didn't match the advertised images. However, I have to praise the breakfast – it was absolutely delicious! Even eating the same things for three days didn't get boring. This is one of the few hotels in Europe with such an excellent breakfast!

1. **Location:** The location is quite good, right in the city center. The city itself isn't very big, so you can walk everywhere. It's just a few minutes' walk to the library and the northernmost McDonald's. Getting to the cable car is a bit further on foot, maybe a 20-30 minute walk. You can also take the bus, as there are plenty of bus stops nearby. There are supermarkets and restaurants right next door, so it's all quite convenient. 2. **Service:** The room doesn't have a kettle or slippers. If you need hot water, you have to ask the front desk to get it for you…

This hotel offers beautiful views and an excellent location. You can walk straight out to the Polar Adventure for boat trips, and there are many restaurants nearby. Just around the corner, you'll find the main street, making it a fantastic choice. However, you need to book early as prices can get very high later on! My son also loved the table tennis downstairs, playing for at least an hour every evening. 😆

Overall, this was a good stay, especially for a long layover, though there are a few areas that could be improved. The bedsheets smelled and felt clean, but there were a few random speckles of black dots on two of the blankets that could be removed. It was a small detail, but noticeable enough to affect the overall impression. Rest of the hotel is clean and well-maintained. The bathroom could also benefit from more hooks or hanging space for towels and clothes. That said, we booked a room for four adults and it was pleasantly spacious. There was sufficient seating, and it comfortably accommodated two large suitcases plus three smaller ones without feeling cramped. The beds were also very comfortable. Breakfast was exceptional. There was a wide variety of options—from well-prepared hot dishes to marinated herring and smoked salmon. The selection of pastries was excellent, and beverages included Biola yogurt drinks, juices, and chocolate milk. Everything we tried was of high quality. There is also free laundry available on the 6th floor, which is a very useful perk for travelers on long journeys. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay.
