Amazing
AArron Dhaliwal SinghSerenity resort Amazing hotel - would highly recommend staying here. We stayed at serenity resort for 2 nights on arriving at Koh Chang from Bangkok. The location is so so idyllic and relaxing, absolutely beautiful. We also stayed on the west side of the island for a couple of nights and while it is quieter on the east side of the island (ie, there is no point in leaving the resort in the evening as there is nothing really to do on the east side after dark) this is exactly what we were after. The staff could not be more helpful and accommodating. Food and drinks at the restaurant were great and reasonably priced. Very clean and comfortable accommodation. Lovely view. As other reviews have said, if you are staying here you will likely want your own transport so you can explore. We rented a moped from the resort at a very reasonable price. If you want to rent a car make sure you have an intl driving permit (takes a few mins to obtain but must do whilst in the UK). There’s barely any traffic on this side of the island so the drive down to long beach at the south of the island felt very safe on a moped despite the hills (and would be the same in a car). The resort staff recommended us to do this and then get kayaks over to Koh ngam, which we did and was a great experience! The other option is to rent a taxi for a day (we were quoted c2500 baht for 6 hours) and they can drop you wherever you like and wait for you. Thanks again for a lovely stay at serenity resort!!

DDomingo’sI don't understand why this hotel has so many good reviews, but I want to write honestly, as someone who has worked in tourism for 20 years and seen a lot. The hotel definitely doesn't live up to its category. The biggest downsides are: there's no sea, the tide is very low every day, so you definitely can't swim here, and the knee-deep water that comes in in the afternoon smells like fish, and even while you're sitting at breakfast, there's a very unpleasant fish smell. But if you want, there's a shuttle that takes you to a good beach several times a day. The pool is dirty with green water; I was snorkeling, and there were tons of hair and sand at the bottom. The water doesn't circulate. In the morning, they pour two buckets of chlorine to disinfect the pool, and then it turns blue for a short while. The hotel rooms are large and comfortable, but tired. The tiles and plumbing need replacing. There were a lot of ants and cockroaches in the room. When we reported them, a worker came to exterminate them and treat them with ant repellent. On the plus side, the room has a large TV with YouTube access, a refrigerator, a tea station, a comfortable bed, and daily cleaning and towel changes. Peacocks roam the grounds (but that's not the main reason to come here). Breakfast is modest; there's a coffee machine with real coffee, pancakes, omelets like everywhere else, sausages and ham, and fruit. There were no yogurts or cheeses, and the juices were watered down. A lot of the equipment in the gym is broken. It depends on your preference, but for me, the sea and pool are key features in a place like this, so I wouldn't go back. There are plenty of cheaper and better options on the coast.

ААнна ŠžŃ€Š»Š¾Š²Š°A magnificent hotel! It's new, designed in a boho style, and the staff is incredibly well-trained; you can tell they strive to cater to every guest's wish. The grounds are lush, with impressive landscaping. There's a huge, clean pool, and a separate kids' pool. The sunbeds on the beach are very comfortable, and there are cabanas by the pool, with service extended to the sunbeds. The gym is excellent, featuring new Matrix equipment. There are two restaurants: one on the beach and one near reception. They regularly host themed parties and fire shows. The food in the restaurants is delicious, with a vast menu offering European, Japanese, Thai, and Indian cuisines. For kids, there's a kids' club and workshops, some of which are extra. We took a Thai cooking class, and our child absolutely loved it. The beach is rocky in some areas, but if you walk left from the kayak rental, the entry into the sea is good. There are low tides, but they didn't bother us. The only issue with this beach is the sand flies, but that's a problem not exclusive to this beach. For people with allergies, like myself, it would be very uncomfortable. I'd like to thank Bikkey for assisting us with all our questions, and on the beach, I'd like to specifically mention Pushpa and Art.

TTonyJsoI was referred to this resort by a couple who I met in Chonburi, I decided to make a reservation and drive to Trat to catch the car ferry. The google directions weren't correct as it tries to take you to the small bridge which is only passable via motorbikes etc. Driving a further 2klms where you follow the signs you arrive at the back of the resort. The Bungalow was great, basic room with a separate toilet/shower room. The room has air conditioning, wall fan and mosquito net. Sliding doors to a small balcony overlooking the gardens to the beach. A foot tap to wash your feet is available at the steps to each bungalow. There are no fridge's in the Bungalow but there is a common fridge that you can use at the reception hut which is available 24/7 just mark your items with the room number. The gardens are immaculate and well looked after, plenty of deck chairs, lounges to enjoy under the shady trees. Two 600ml bottles of water are provided daily and left on the balcony of each bungalow daily. Its a 40m walk to the water, similar to the adjoining restaurant Siam Kitchen. I found The Beach Cafe about 100m up the beach front to have a higher quality of food and portion size another restaurant that I would recommend is Indie Beach Cafe. Jebbi the manager of the resort is always onhand and available to assist. Great low key resort, chilled and recommended.

GGuest UserThe Hotel has an excellent location with restaurants and supermarket nearby. My recommendation is to check in only in the beach facing rooms as the view is awesome. From other rooms there is no view. The beach is very rocky but you can walk up a few minutes and it gets better. I have given average rating only because of lack of basic facilities. There is no room service or in-room dialing. You need to contact reception through Whatsapp. Basic amenities like toothpaste, clothes hook, sugar, teabags, milk sachets are not in the room. Only limited coffee pouches are given per day. This is not expected from a premium resort. The breakfast is nice esp. the eggs made to order and cheese platter. Overall we had a good stay due to the location of the room. The management needs to just do a bit extra to make it a top grade Hotel

AAnonymous UserThe overall experience was alright, but the facilities need some care. The water park is old and some of the slides are breaking down, they don’t look safe. The hotel is divided in two areas, one across the road and one by the beach. If you are staying across the road you can’t use the pool from the beach side, which is a bummer and a big downside. Would check other places first.

GGuest UserOverall, the hotel is decent. The location is excellent and the facilities are ok. However, my experience was incredibly frustrating due to the total lack of control in the beach area. The Issue: The ā€Towel Mafiaā€ It seems there are people who live at the hotel permanently and take over the beach chairs very early in the morning. By 8:00 AM, all the chairs are empty but ā€reservedā€ with towels. When my girlfriend and I decided to use two chairs that had been unoccupied for over an hour, a man approached us in a very aggressive manner, claiming the chairs belonged to them simply because he had placed a towel there first. Lack of Staff Support The most disappointing part was the hotel's response: • At Reception: They confirmed that chairs cannot be reserved and that we were free to use them. • In Practice: This group of residents continued to disturb and harass us day after day. • Management: Despite being aware of the situation, the hotel staff did absolutely nothing to mediate, enforce the rules, or explain the seating policy to these individuals. It is a shame that a place with such potential allows certain guests to intimidate others, ruining the peace of a vacation. If you are looking for a hotel where rules are respected and everyone is treated fairly, I would look elsewhere.

NNalinthip SansupanThe staff were all smiling and very service-minded. The rooms were clean and the food was decent. There was even a fire show at night. Overall, it was great and I was very impressed with the service. In the evenings, there was food available at the hotel restaurant, and the staff were very attentive. When it rained, they constantly helped move the food. I was very impressed. There were even entertainers to welcome guests, and the cats were adorable!
