Stayed for four nights here and it is in a great location in the Gothic quarter, about a 3 minute walk to the Cathedral, 3 mins walk to the nearest metro which is Juame 1 and also about a 5 min walk to the begining of the El Born district. Hotel reception staff are friendly, staffed around the clock and the whole hotel was really clean, no problems at all. I had a room on the fourth floor which was clean, spacious and really quiet despite the hotel being in a busy and vibrant location. Lots of nice places to eat around the area and I would recommend Bosco a few minutes walk away... For me one of the best areas is El Born for food and drink. If you walk 5 mins to Hotel H10 Montcada on Via Laietana and then go down the side street right next to the hotel, you will find a really interesting mix and array of eating places and bars to enjoy. Would stay here again.

The location service is very good, this price is very good, stayed for 5 days, mainly on the Rambla Avenue, it is very convenient to travel, I only stayed for one day in a bed, and later changed into a double room, the price/performance ratio than before. A lot higher, it is recommended!

This hotel is close to everything. So many restaurants, the Barcelona on/off tour bus stop, shopping, La Bouqueria, and the beach (not very far away). The Catalunya metro station is also very close I think this was a perfect location. The hotel offers a hearty breakfast... excellent. The only thing that was a bit awkward was that the front door to this hotel opens with the card key that is given to you at check in. Obviously you do not have that card upon arrival, so you stand at the sliding door until someone from reception sees you or another guest opens the door with their card key to gain entrance. Weird, but it works for the establishment I guess. All is fine after you get the card key, since you can let yourself in and out. There is a small rooftop bar where you can watch the sunset. We were up there one evening and everyone was drinking and watching the beautiful sunset when the bartender said that it was time for him to close. He was very rude and he practically told everyone that they had to leave...wow. All the patrons were in shock. This was on Thursday May 11. I notified the front desk of his awful behavior and they were very concerned and not happy about what transpired. I would still give this hotel a 5 star review since everyone else was so pleasant, courteous and helpful.

This was my first time staying in a hostal and it was a great experience! Front desk staff was super friendly and helpful. Room was spacious and bed was comfortable. Room and bathroom were very clean. AC was strong enough and kept the room at a comfortable temperature. Walking distance from many good bars and restaurants. All for a great price as well. We would be happy to return here next time in Barcelona!

Hidden away in a side street in The Gothic area of Barcelona. My partner booked this place for my birthday, so I had no prior expectation of either the hotel or Barcelona. I was a tad apprehensive as the taxi pulled up outside, but very pleasantly surprised with the really nice interior of the hotel. Very nice reception area and fresh decor greeted us. Nicely decorated inside and we were in the second floor becoming onto an inner enclosed quadrant. Not the best of views, but we didn't come for a view from the window. The room itself was clean nice, a small double, but a massive bed. Ensuite bathroom with shower, again, nice and clean with toiletries supplied. Nice friendly staff. A little noisy at night as I think our room overlooked the staff area. Or body neighbours perhaps. But all in all, a really nice hotel close to everything. A great time to come to Barcelona. Warm sunshine in the high teens and not crowded at all. Had some great walks around the lanes and sights to be seen.

Location is great in Gothic Quarter, and staff are very nice. But the rooms are very very small! And peculiarly designed. Even small for one person. Toilet separate area of room from sink basin and shower. No where to sit except on bed. Very clean, good TV but uncomfortable room. Breakfast excellent, restaurant very good for dinner, rooftop bar small but attractive with good tapas. Hotel arranges transport as most taxis couldn’t find the hotel on a very narrow windy street!

Great location just a few steps away from La Rablas and Liceu metro station which can connect you to almost anywhere you need to go in Barcelona. Downside to this is that it can be quite loud during the night which could be an issue with light sleepers. All the receptionists we spoke to were very friendly and spoke good English. The rooms were tidied every day too.

Its a very nice hotel in the best location in Barri Gothic. Nice breakfast, very entusiastic staff in the reception. Maybe it got a bit to expensive ( value for money) when you are a family and had to book two rooms. The pool on the roaf was of course very cold now in april and a lot of pigeons sat around the pool all the time to drink. They left their dirt in and around the pool. The roafterass was just open from 10.00-20.30 wich was a dissapointment. We wanted to hang out there to see the sunrise and sunset, and maybe take a fresh dip in the pool. Its a VERY loud air conditioner in the bathroom that you cant turn of without turning of the light. In general though a clean, nice hotel with walking distance to everything!

We were in room 209. Great hotel. Basic. But just what we wanted. It was myself and my daughter. Upon check in we got given welcome drinks voucher. We didn’t use this and they noticed so gave us drinks in bottles to take when we left. They excelled in the small things. there was chocolate on the pillows (which my 4 year old loved), combs, toothbrushes and toothpaste for each guest in the bathroom. Clean, and basic. The room was small, but the bathroom was absolutely huge. Our room overlooked a small corner, lovely view of a old wall/ ruin. There was a couple of chunks missing from the wall. The walls were thin (I think). I could hear the next room turning on the taps/ using the shower, the outside world being all noisy out the window. But when we went to bed there was silence. We didn’t try the breakfast. I wouldn’t say 4 star, I’ve stayed in less and gotten more. But, all in all, I would stay here again. Great price, close to where I wanted to be, and the staff were all helpful

The location is very good and it is quite convenient to go anywhere. The room was really small, but it was very clean and tidy, and the decoration was very good. Since it was an early morning flight, the reception staff was very enthusiastic to help call uber.

Great hotel, superb location, lovely room. Plentiful breakfast and helpful staff. We stayed with friends for 3 nights and could not fault so pleased we stayed here ! The gothic quarter was in our opinion the best area we loved being so close to the beach and the lovely hidden Tapas restaurants that all came alive at night. The staff at the hotel were so lovely and helpful and our room was large with a fridge, air conditioning and great waterfall shower - would stay here again.

The general hotel in general, the most commendable is the location of the hotel, the absolute golden location, to go to the sights and shopping streets to walk (within 1 km); the metro station is within 500 meters. The cathedral is right behind the hotel. But the rest of the hotel is average... Breakfast is an order, and there are not many varieties available. Breakfast is considered to be below average in similar hotels. The hotel facilities are simple, even ridiculous, no tableware. The so-called executive room I have set up is a boudoir type. I don’t think it makes sense to set a high-grade room type in Ctrip. Last year in Venice, Italy, the room type was not correct.

After a delayed flight, four of us arrived at 2am. We went to our rooms, only to discover that one wreaked of mildew/mold. The staff at the desk told us there weren't any other rooms available, so we dragged mattresses into our second room to sleep. The next morning the desk staff was not understanding at all and offered no compensation. Throughout that day, bug bites started showing up on 3 of us. BED BUGS! They are completely covering our bodies. Do not stay here!!

Great location and great price for a nice, clean hotel with friendly, helpful service. Comfy beds and decent size room and bathroom. There is some street noise, but with all windows shut it’s fine - and I would t expect it not to be noisy given the location.
