All great. Modern design, good breakfast, great views. Little things: The shower has no curtain, so the toilet gets flooded after the shower. And there is no shelf for soap or shampoo in the shower - should put it all on the floor.

The hotel was located right in the center of Bergen. Although there was reception staff we had to pick up the hotel key in a box another time (went well but was a bit strange I think). In the hallway itself there was a slightly strange smell. But the room itself was perfectly fine. There is a lot to do in the center of Bergen if you want it. Lots of dining areas / bars etc. We did not get breakfast there due to. we woke up today (May 17), which in Norway is considered a Sunday. Then they did not have breakfast there. So we had to take another place. What was minus it was that they did NOT have luggage storage there. So there the hotel has something they need to fix right away.

very nice hotel! Love it. Its just right next to the bergen station which is very convenient for me as I am going to the Norway in a nutshell the next day. But it’s hard to recognize the hotel at first as there was no logo on the building as you can see in my photo 😂 Room is very clean and tidy, love the design too. Nothing to complain about. It’s only 15mins to the pier and Bryggen, i will definitely stay here again if I am coming to Bergen in the future. Breakfast was included, it was good!!!! You can try the famous Norwegian brown cheese here too.

A great welcome will await you at Hotel No 13. The staff are all very helpful although special thanks go to Lena who made our stay second to none. The hotel is in a great location in a pedestrianised square in central Bergen not far from the light rail terminus. It’s also close to some great restaurants and bars but at the same time, very quiet. Finally, the breakfast. The choice and quality of the offering is amazing. I cannot recommend this hotel too highly and wouldn’t hesitate to stay there on my next visit to Bergen.

Hotel is less than a 10 mins walk from the train station. There are shops and restaurants within walking distance. Check in/out are all self service. But if you met with any problems checking in, there is a reception person 24/7 in the building if you need help. Room is clean and tidy, though a bit small. There is not enough space to open up a medium size luggage on the floor.

I chose Scandic because I have had good experiences in the past. However, this stay has been quite horrible. After a long journey to the North Cape and back again, it was important for me to get a good night's sleep before the journey home to Denmark. Already when I/we checked in, many young people arrived with full plastic bags with clinking bottles and large speakers in tow. I wondered, but thought maybe they should go ahead and have a party. I was completely wrong there. The party was held at the Scandic hotel from early evening to early morning. There was running in the corridors, shouting and screaming, banging on pipes, doors slamming continuously, and there was partying and noise that only really drunk people can make. I and others contacted reception who unfortunately could not deal with them. I also think that one or two receptionists cannot handle 20 maybe 25 very drunk young people. In the morning told the young female receptionist that when they complained about a room, the party just moved to a new room. She was very kind and apologized many times. Friendly and sweet service. Immediately, I think that the police should have been called if the party didn't stop. Me and my 2 fellow travelers were refunded DKK 400 for our rooms... But honestly, I think it would have been appropriate to give us the full amount back. Never before have I had such an experience in a hotel.

First off, if you're thinking of going to Bergen, DO IT! The city is gorgeous and the Fjord tours that depart are also amazing. Second, the Moxy is a fine choice. It is affordable and appears to be new (so it's not run down). The brand is definitely trying hard to be fun, but overall it succeeds well enough for me. The rooms are a bit small, but sufficient. The hotel is a bit far from the main area, but you can take a nearby tram (Florida stop I believe) or just walk. We walked and I want to say it was a 20 -30 minute stroll. Doable. Similarly, you can take the train/tram from the airport to the hotel. There are a few restaurants very close to the hotel, but they were just okay. However, the hotel's snacks were themselves surprisingly good.

Stayed for a weekend at this hotel with my family. My wife, myself and a 2 year-old. First impression was excellent. Nice standard, spacy rooms, well equipped, and so on. Nothing to complain about regarding the room standard. Breakfast was also fine, plenty of things to choose between. It was only when we returned the next night our complaints arose. We arrived by car in the hotel garage, with a sleeping child. Already in the garage we heard the noise from the party/event upstairs. The only route from the garage to the hotel rooms was to make our way through the bar and the ongoing party. That is poor planning of infrastructure in my opinion. Of course our sleeping child awoke to the excess loudness of the music, and we had to «snake our way» through the crowd of loud and drunk people. We eventually made our way to the room, and even though it was situated at the third floor, the noise was ever present in our room (our room was even facing outward, not toward the core of the hotel). Don’t know if that’s because of ventilation or because of the architecture of the building (which leaves the roof open over the reception/bar area all the way up to the top floor). So even though a lot of things at this hotel is done adequately, this second night experience (and thereof lack of sleep) ruined our stay. We certainly feel that it was not worth the money, and wouldn’t recommend it to families (at least not when the hotel is having events / during weekends). (In all fairness: we didn’t make a formal complaint to the reception as it was not an option to opt for a new room (arrived late, and packing and moving with a tired toddler is not optimal). And neither did we see any chance of the hotel shutting down an event due to a single complaining customer.)

The big plus of this hotel is that it is a 4-5 minute walk from the airport. Because of that easy access to public transportation into the city. The room was quiet and I didn't notice airport noise. Room was clean and modern, but very small, spartan, and with few amenities. Beds were narrow with very soft mattresses. The breakfast was very good with a wide selection of items, though not exceptional. There were only two elevators in a hotel with four floors and hundreds of rooms! As others have noted, the staff is very young and seemed inexperienced, but friendly enough. All in all, like most airport hotels, you get little value for the price. The goal is a quick in and out with a decent breakfast for travelers, but not much more.

GGuest UserThe service at this hotel is topnotch. We ended up staying in one of the cheaper rooms which was on the smaller side of things, but everything was a great experience. Everyone has mentioned the great breakfast (and it is), but they also have fantastic comfortable beds, Chromecast, wifi, and very clean bedrooms/bathrooms. Again, I'd like to commend the service again. They went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable, packed an early morning breakfast for us when we were going to leave early, and had recommendations on the best things to do (and how to save a couple of bucks if needed). Location is fantastic! You are a very short walk from the fish market and the tourist area. Additionally, there is a grocery store right across the street (eating out in Norway can be pricey) along with a small shopping center about a block away. The funicular to the top of the surrounding mountains is about a 5 minute walk from the hotel. If you're looking for affordable bites to eat there is a gyro cafe not far from there and a great Burmese restaurant. If you're trying to get there from the airport, it will cost you between $50-$70 via taxi (approx. 25 mins) or $8-10 via train (approx. 45 - 55 mins from what I could tell). The buses in town and the surrounding areas are clean, very timely, and easy to use. However, you'll want to have downloaded the app ahead of time to make using them easier.

GGuest UserThis is the first time I write a review while still being a guest at the hotel, lets start with the good things. The hotel has an excellent location, nice and newly renovated rooms and friendly staff. Breakfast was fine and had good variety as well. However, the upsetting part is that the bad things exceed the good ones. The hotel has a very loud bar/club on the ground floor and plays loud music even on weekdays until late at night, the loud music can be heard in the room. The bed isn’t comfortable, the one I had was used a lot probably and had an inside curve in the middle. The room service menu says that it’s available until 11 pm. However, if you try calling them after 10 pm nobody answers as the kitchen closes at 10 pm but its not written anywhere. They also charge for getting you tap water!! The reception desk, although they say its a 24hours desk, they wouldn’t pick up the phone if you call them after 10 pm. Once I asked for a fork at 10:15 pm the receptionist had to check if room service team would accept as the kitchen had already closed. And had to call the reception twice to get hold of them. The parking garage is operated by a third party, its very small and has probably spaces for 20-25 cars. So most probably it always full, in my case, the hotel staff asked me to go park my car in another public parking garage and walk back to the hotel. The housekeeping team doesn’t clean the room properly, I had hair in the bathroom and the shower drainage is blocked. I stayed at this hotel for 5 nights, this night is my last and I keep getting disappointed every night. I think the hotel has to offer better services and quality. You even have to greet the receptionist as they would answer by hello rather than “good evening” or “how can we help?” But that’s not important anyways. For the price I paid, I expected much better services from this hotel. I would definitely come back to Bergen, but never to this hotel, and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. Its not a 5 star hotel according to the global standards. I wouldn’t even give it 3 stars.

GGuest UserWas greeted by a very nice receptionist when I checked in. He saw that I was a member of their chain and offered me the benefits it provides. Then gave the information I needed and explained the way to the elevator. All with kindness and a big smile. It gave a very good start to a good stay. Asked at check in for room with view and high up. I got it in room 616 which had a balcony. I think most rooms do not have a balcony or that view. So a tip is to ask and if they are available, you will get enough. The room was clean. And that's the most important thing for me. Not very big and the bathroom was even smaller. But it is more than enough for two people visiting this city. Even though the room is clean, it appears to be somewhat worn over time. You can see it on the scraped panel stove, scraper and other things on the walls, the bedding has some smaller holes and is worn (but comfortable to sleep in). When there are better times for the hotel industry, it would not cost much to raise the standard a little. Breakfast has everything you need, but does not appear very exciting. You can see there are some measures taken that raise it from basic, and there is a lot of staff at work. But it's a long way up to the city's best breakfast and there is constantly empty for some products during the breakfast. Then it is important to know that the Comfort hotels at Nordic Choice Hotels are the most affordable. I have often stayed in Quality hotels in the past and the standard is one notch or two up. So for what you pay here for the rooms with breakfast it is very good value! And the very best value here is those who work here. Whether it is night guards, cleaners or others. There are always positive answers if you want something. And accompanying smile. Otherwise there is a bar here if you wish. And from Bybanen it may be around 10-15 minutes to walk. So it is centrally located in Bergen. Can definitely recommend this hotel for the price against the standard one gets.

GGuest UserWe stayed here for three nights in a superior room next to the one where Amundsen stayed on his last night before his final flight and looked forward to a drink in the whiskey bar where he held his final press conference. Sadly, it's closed on Sunday nights (never mind, we brought our own malt), but this wasn't in the room information because there was no room info, just a hardback book about the hotel's history. It's a great location and building but our big room wasn't cleaned while we stayed, only the bathroom. There was no comfy seating. It had USB ports and TV casting, each if which would have been useful had they worked. The room was also shabby, in need of decoration. We asked for milk for our tea, they couldn't find any, and we also had to ask for teaspoons. Small things all, but service worse than you'd expect in a two star, cheap place and Terminus was far from cheap... terrific city though.

FFONG3The room is larger than expected. There is no TV refrigerator, but there is a hair dryer, towels and bath supplies. Very clean, the bed is a bit too soft, friends who don't like soft beds should consider it. The location of the hotel takes about half an hour to walk to the city center. My friends and I like walking, so it’s not a problem at all, but if you don’t like walking and don’t want to spend money on rides all the time, then you should think carefully!

GGuest UserThings are different! We found a two bed room is really more like a room with a king bed. Well, OK, but not what we expected. The room was quite small, but worked pretty well. There is a metal frame that serves as a place to hang clothing, several shelves so you can put clothing out, but no drawer storage. There was a TV, you could make coffee/tea in the room (if you wanted). Biggest surprise: the bathroom was fully suitable for an RV. I could touch wall to wall with my outstretched arms. The shower was the size of half a phone booth. The sink was about 10X14 inches. Tiny, but it worked. The room was overlooking the Bergen Visitor Info Center and Fish Market. One night there were a lot of revelers. Otherwise it was quiet. Breakfast was a buffet, with some hot items, and the usual cold cuts, cheese, breads. Some fruit. The coffee machines are fine when they work, but it seems that guests are pretty hard on them and they were not always available. We were joining a cruise, but at the last minute learned we had to delay our arrival several hours due to harbor congestion. We spent the extra time, with our luggage and kindles in the hotel's small lobby. The staff made us welcome, and assisted us with a taxi when we were finally able to depart.

GGuest UserVery well situated near the Fish Market and city center. There are stores and restaurants behind the hotel as well as a grocery store just down the road. Not modern but has most of the things you need in the room and bathroom. Bring ear plugs and an eye mask if you're a light sleeper since it's close to the wharf and a busy street. Our airline lost our luggage so we had no clothes for 5 days. The free washer/dryer on the 4th floor saved us! The hotel has nice touches like free tea/coffee in a side lobby area, as well as a small wine/beer bar at reception (not the Altona bar next door). The breakfast is pretty great and even has vegan options (mostly carbs). The staff is attentive and helpful. If you're looking for somewhere economical and close to the city center, I recommend this place.

GGuest UserPROS: - The staff members were all really kind and helpful. - Breakfast offered a lot of choices and never disappointed. - The hotel position is among the bests you can get. It's close to everything there is to visit. CONS: - Although their booking page says they have a restaurant, the restaurant is actually close. They do not open for dinner. - Their booking page also says that they provide a gym. The gym is not in the hotel but 3 minutes on foot away. - The hotel only had a public wifi (not really the safest thing...) And of course it was incredibly slow. - My room wasn't always vacuumed when the cleaning lady ”cleaned” my room nor my blanket changed. - I wasn't given a sign to let the cleaning lady know whether I was still in my room or not. - The shower wasn't a shower-box or a shower with a platform. it was just a lower area (one stare lower from the floor). The shower's curtain was too short resulting systematically in flooding the bathroom (almost slipped one day!) - They only give you two towels: one for the sink to wash your hands and one as a bathrobe for the shower. I would have really appreciated a third one to contain the water while showering.

GGuest UserAs a last minute booking we were so lucky to find this wonderful Boutique hotel right in the centre of Bergen town. We took the light rail from the airport direct to Bergen. We were happy to find that with our big suitcases it was an easy short walk from the end of rail to the hotel. The hotel looked lovely from the outside and a treat on the inside with funky, fun and cosy decor. We had booked a room big enough for a roll in bed for our teenage daughter. There was a double bed for us which was so comfortable, table & chairs seating area, desk, TV, phone, kettle tea & coffee, glasses, hair dryer & safe. The shower room was clean and well designed with complimentary shampoo conditioner & handsoap, and the water was drinkable and was instantly lovely and warm for showering. It was so comfortable it became our little home for four days whilst we took in the delights of Bergen. It is perfectly situated being in the center of town with easy access to all the major attractions including shops, fish market, bus, light rail, train, funicular, ferry & excursions. We had breakfast included and we started the day with the most amazing meal with choices of continental. Scandinavian & cooked breakfast. A big thank you to the lovely young lady that took care of us each morning with a cheery smile and something lovely to say each morning. You made us so welcome which would be one of the main reasons we would return again in a heartbeat. What a lovely hotel and staff made us so welcome. Thank you. Hope to see you again soon.

GGuest UserThe room is large. One room and one living room, cooking and sofa in the hall, sleeping in the room. There is a refrigerator oven pot kitchenware. Breakfast can be ordered, but expensive, it is better to go to 7-11 to buy croissants, weekend specials 10 kronor, usually 15 krona. The apartment is very good, coming from the airport, taking the light rail to the byparken station as long as 39 or 33, much cheaper than the airport bus, to byparken a few hundred meters. Going to other attractions in Bergen, you can walk very close to the fish market, Bryggen, and Florentine. The Bergen train station, which is a miniature of Norway, feels like walking for ten minutes. There is a supermarket nearby, you can go to rema from Monday to Saturday, and there is a supermarket on the weekend. You can ask the front desk. You can cook your own food at the supermarket.
