I must say, my recent stay at this establishment was tainted by the presence of an employee who seemed determined to mar an otherwise passable experience. Allow me to recount the unfortunate encounter with this particular member of the hotel staff, whose ineptitude and condescension left much to be desired. My ordeal began with the seemingly standard check-in time of 3pm. However, I was forced to entrust my luggage to their ”luggage room” due to this policy. Upon my return for check-in, I made the grievous error of inquiring about my luggage. The receptionist who had taken over displayed an insufferable attitude, insisting that I retrieve my own bags, as if I had been suddenly promoted to the hotel's porter. To make matters worse, I was informed that the air conditioning throughout the entire hotel was non-operational. This announcement was delivered in a manner befitting a stern warden, devoid of any apology or offer of compensation for this inconvenience. It was only after I mustered the audacity to request compensation that she begrudgingly muttered, ”I can offer you free parking,” as if this paltry gesture should suffice. Regrettably, this 'compensation' left much to be desired. When I inquired about the parking fee, which, unsurprisingly, was exorbitant at 18 CHF, I could barely contain my astonishment. At this juncture, the receptionist, dripping with condescension, remarked, ”Yeah, this is Switzerland here,” insinuating that I, a mere Belgian, should be grateful for their overpriced parking, as if it were some sort of privilege. It is worth noting that it is the guests who fund her livelihood, and a modicum of respect should be obligatory. As if this litany of incompetence wasn't enough, when I discovered that my EU plug was incompatible with Swiss electrical outlets, I had no choice but to return to the reception desk. Once again, the indifferent receptionist displayed a complete lack of interest in my predicament. She dismissively informed me that no adapters were available, and the sole adapter they possessed had already been claimed by another guest. Her apathy and unprofessional demeanor were profoundly disheartening. In conclusion, it is my sincere belief that this receptionist's woeful performance reflects poorly on the hotel's overall reputation. She embodies rudeness and ineptitude to such an extent that it is clear she is profoundly unsuited for a career in hospitality. I implore her employers to reconsider her place within the industry; perhaps a career outside of customer interaction, such as working in a factory, would better suit her temperament and capabilities. On a somewhat brighter note, I feel compelled to acknowledge that the other five members of the hotel staff I encountered were, without exception, lovely, warm, and highly professional individuals. It is a tremendous shame that this particular receptionist stood in stark contrast to her colleagues, as she was the sole staff member who appeared to be disinterest

Super hôtel, accueil très sympa et chaleureux. Nous étions dans une chambre Budget, très propre et silencieuse malgré la promiscuité entre les chambres. Situé au nord de la ville l’hôtel se trouve juste à côté d’un arrêt de tram qui vous permet d’accéder en 10min au centre ville, sinon le centre ville est à moins de 30min à pied. Aussi vous pouvez obtenir des billets de transport gratuit pour la durée de votre séjour. Nous n’avons pas eu la chance de tester le petit déjeuner trop cher pour des des petits français comme nous. Je recommande également, par beau temps, d’aller aux piscine gratuites et extérieure situées en dessous du parlement et à côté de l’Aar avec une possibilité à cet endroit de se jeter dedans et se laisser emporter par le courant sous la surveillance d’un maître nageur plutôt attirant. J’ai fein la noyade mais malheureusement il n’est pas venu à mon secours. Pour les amateurs de speed dating je vous recommande le plongeoir ou même le petit restaurant où plein de gens très beau viendront acheter des trucs que vous, en tant que français, n’auront pas la chance d’acheter. Bref l’hôtel est super bien ! Et si vous avez pas beaucoup d’argent des restaurants situés le long du chemin du retour à l’hôtel en partant du centre ville sont très abordable.

We have a great experience when we stay in this hotel, clean, comfortable and large room with beautiful view the city of Bern, also the friendly staff. Good location and easy to access. Need a little improvement about an iron, i think it's better if an iron is provided in each room. Because most of guest need it.

The hotel is very affordable and the breakfast is very rich! I also gave the bus a free ticket. In the corridor, there is a water dispenser and the water can be drunk for free. The room was small but fortunately clean. Do line 10 at the door, take two stops from the train station, get off at 100 meters and walk very close. In addition, line 10 goes to many places. Stayed in this hotel for two weeks during my official visit in Switzerland. Located just opposite to Schonegg Tram stop, this hotel is just 10 mins from Bern Bahnof (Railway Station). This is an old design hotel with all modern amenities. The staff at the reception are polite helpful. The room which I got was at the end of the corridor which was quite small in terms of width. The bed was also quite small. The room was giving a vibe of coziness though. The bathroom was neat and clean but was small The hotel has an in house restaurant located in the first floor. Overall the food in the menu were quite expensive. The room rent didn’t include complimentary breakfast so the breakfast was also quite expensive ( 7.5 CHF for express and 19.5 for Buffet) Positives 1. Courteous Staff 2. Free High speed Wi Fi 3. Complimentary Public Transport pass 4. Clean and Hygienic room 5. B’ful view from the window 6. Check In and Check out was smooth Negatives 1. Small room 2. Stayed here to be close to the stadium, which is a 5 min walk away on the other side of the Wankdorf train station. Room was a reasonable size and clean, good shower and firm bed with decent pillows. The bathroom sink had trouble draining which was a bit annoying. Service at check-in/out was on the slow side and could be improved. Bar/lounge area was nice and had a good variety of drinks/snacks as well as board games and a fussball table. Lots of work stations available too. Overall, it was a good value for Switzerland and fine for one night. Even if you don't need to be near the stadium, it is a good budget option in Bern since you get free local public transport and there are frequent trains to the main Bern station (3 min ride).

PROS - Modern clean rooms with comfortable beds and reading lights. - Fast and easy route to the centre via the bus (free to guests!) - Black out blinds - Two bed apartment was very spacious - Laundry facilities (washer and dryer, 2 francs each) were really helpful, and clearly signposted - Parking including reasonably fast electric car charging - Concierge was available, helpful and very friendly. CONS - The air con was very slow even when turned up to the highest setting, and rooms were hot. Windows don’t open. - The breakfast was abysmal value. No fruit selection (just the usual bulk-bought fruit salad; it doesn’t cost much to put some apples and seasonal fruit in a bowl to choose from!). The scrambled eggs were rated inedible by the whole family. No baguette or whole loaves to slice, just large individual rolls and some white sliced processed bread.

This hotel is a short bus ride from the main train station. The rooms are modern & ours was large. No one & no instructions on how to turn on the lights or operate the roll down shutters or anything else in the room. It was frustrating. There are large patio doors (no patio though) that open with electric roll down shutters. But our room faced busy train tracks & so leaving those doors open meant hearing VERY frequent train traffic late into the night & then starting again in the early morning. It wasn’t pleasant. Another thing to know about this hotel is the A/C is controlled & is central to the ENTIRE hotel and it’s not cool in the rooms🥵. There is NO adjusting it in your room or for your room 🥵. It is just what it is. We were advised to open our patio doors to get more air🤪. That would work if it’s cool outside AND there were not the train traffic! There is no ventilation fan in the bathroom and that just adds humidity to the room with no way to vent it. So this hotel is modern meets we don’t trust you. We would not stay here again & from now on even if the hotel says there is a/c we will have to ask the further question about who controls it & the temp.

We spent two nights in this hotel in the category: Deluxe Studio. The hotel is 150 m from the train station to Bern. The train travels every 22 minutes to the city centre to the station/spatalgate for €14 per person. The deep garage places for €15 per day are large and there were no free parking available before the hotel. There was a card for the room available by self-checking. The air circulation in the flowers to the room and the air in the Deluxe studio was very ”distant”. Since the windows can be opened in the Deluxe studio, the air is quickly fresh again. The Deluxe studio has a size of 27 m2 and a lot of stuff in a large closet. The bed is comfortable with view of a large flat. The kitchen is well equipped, a small washing machine is also available. A desk is directly front of the window with gardens and outdoor roller shops. The price-performance ratio is met.

Super Unterkunft. Von A-Z hat alles geklappt. Eine tolle Unterkunft mit Kindern. Am Abend war es ab 22.00 uhr sehr ruhig im Hof und auch mit offenen Fenstern lässt es sich so gut schlafen. Das Frühstück war zum Geniessen in einem schönen Saal. Allgemein ist diese Jugendherberge wunderschön eingerichtet. Das Museum ist top und mit Kindern sehr gut machbar. Es gibt ein Rätselspass, basteln, Truhen öffnen, Schatzkisten und vieles mehr. Es lohnt sich dieses Museum zu besuchen. Diese Unterkunft ist nur zum Empfehlen
