We stayed at the Rendezvous Bay Hotel for 9 nights and it was one of the best holidays we've ever had. Hotel - we stayed at number 0, in the last house of the hotel. Spacious room, furnished in true Caribbean fashion. (See pictures). Bathroom more than sufficient but with a shower that needs an upgrade (it stopped in time 30 years ago...:) ). Facing the beach, with a fabulous porch where you want to stay for hours watching the magnificent scenery. There is an offer of 2 waters per day and cleaning every day. Coffee maker, microwave and mini fridge also available. Beach towels changed daily. Felicia's extraordinary job cleaning the room. Beach - one of the best we've ever had the opportunity to be on! Simply FABULOUS!!! 1.5 km of fine sand and turquoise water. No waves and little wind on the hotel side. Water always ready to invite us in. Always warm. Staff - from the first moment we were well received by the driver Ira who picked us up from the airport (hotel's offer). Carol (Concierge) and Bela (restaurant) were super helpful throughout our stay, always responding promptly to all our requests with a smile on their lips. Restaurant - The Place where breakfast is served (included in the price). Freshly made food of excellent quality with fresh cakes and croissants. At the team's suggestion, we always took what was left in a box to eat throughout the day. You can also have lunch at this restaurant with prices similar to any other restaurant overlooking the beach. Anguilla - we rented a car for 4 days (48 dls a day with insurance) which was enough to visit the best places, of which we highlight Cap Juluca (Maudays bay, the entrance is through the Belmond hotel), shoal bay, meads bay. We also went to Saint Martin, taking the ferry (about 80 dls per person to and from). Mullet bay and Maho beach (just to see the planes, as the beach is small and crowded). We also went to Sandy Island but with such beautiful beaches in Anguilla there is no point in paying more than 100 dollars to visit this small island 10 minutes away by boat. Negative points - in addition to the shower already mentioned, we didn't have many lunch and dinner options near the hotel (just the sunshine shack, a beach bar with a good atmosphere but too expensive for the quality of the food). Without a car it is difficult to eat near the hotel. Ira was always ready to take us but it cost around 40 dls per trip. The extremely high cost of living is another problem on this island. Lunch or dinner costs no less than 70/100 dls for 2 people. On top of the already expensive list prices, they charge a 15% tip and an additional 13% tax. In short, it was worth it and we will come back if we have the chance!
