Lady on the front desk when we arrived was the most unhelpful person I have ever encountered. We arrived at about 2.15 and my baby had become unwell during our journey to the hotel. I asked if we could check in now. Told we would have to pay £10. No problem, we just need a room quickly for my baby. Then told because I paid by card we can’t check in early. Who doesn’t pay by card these days! Then told it was because no rooms were ready. Really no rooms at all ready at 2.15. I explained by baby was poorly which was also visible and she had no empathy or inclination to see if there was anything she could do. I also explained we had booked for 2 nights but they were 2 separate bookings as we had decided later to extend our stay. I asked if she could link the booking together so we didn’t have to check out and check back in the next day. I was told no. No explanation as to why, just no. We were then told to sit and wait in the restaurant. Tried to settle my baby who was becoming increasingly distressed. We were actually worried we would have to take her to a Doctor. At 2.50 the same lady approached me and told me the room was now ready. Relief! Fantastic! I say. She then turns to my husband when I am collecting our things and says ‘but you will still have to pay £10’ Seriously! At this point I was absolutely exasperated. My husband declined on principle and we waited the 10 minutes. Upon joining the queue to check in my husband confirmed the details of the room with her and confirmed there was a cot waiting in the room for us as requested. This was confirmed back to us as yes, but guess what, when we entered the room no cot! Back down to reception I go to advise the cot is missing and get it sorted. All my baby needed was a quiet place to lay down so we could give medicine and get her to relax but everything we asked was either answered with a no or incompetence. On top of this 2 of the 3 lifts were out of order during the stay which meant getting to and from the room to sort the cot issue out, not to mention in general wasted even more time. Even the ladies manner in telling us the restaurant was short staffed, would only accept reservations and we could not just walked in, sounded more like a warning than information. I would like to say the following morning when we went down for breakfast the staff were like a breath of fresh air. Much happier and welcoming. I approached the lady on reception and asked if she could help us with linking our booking up. She said no problem and it was done within 2 minutes and our key cards were refreshed. Complete night and day in terms of the service we received the previous day. The lady on reception the previous day needs some service customer service retraining. I understand that sometimes it’s not possible to complete every request from a customer but her attitude was a complete disgrace.

I asked for a room high up, preferably with a sea view, which I now know is only attained on the 10 floor in one direction. I was informed that I had magicalky already been allocated such a room without the asking for! When I got up to the 10th floor, I was disgusted to find that the connecting door to the room next door, that I had definitely not asked for, could be easily opened! Furthermore my room actually faced away from the sea. As this was not the first time that I have experienced this lapsed security at premier inns, I proceeded downstairs and vented my displeasure. On doing this, I attained a very pleasant sea view on the tenth floor. On my departure for the final time, I confirmed that the lift most frequently called was shuddering and noisy leading to further anxiety when departing with luggage from the 10th floor. This place for me, was an accident waiting to happen, and there was some unpleasantness from start to finish.

Joe was an actual legend, genuinely a massive help and great customer service! Saved me from a very bad situation after train issues at nearly midnight! Great help! Thanks for all your help! This is being written on the September 26th 2024, very late after not being able to get on the last train!

Despite looking a little tired on the outside the food and service were good. We took a chance and booked our evening meals .There were no other restaurants nearby. The food was very good. Also there was free parking and a bus stop outside with frequent buses in either direction

We only stayed for one night. We received a very warm welcome from the hotel staff. We arrived early and a really nice friendly staff sorted out an early check in for us very quickly. She was very pleasant polite and helpful. Outside could do with a paint as looks a bit run down from the front, however, the room is very specious and clean. We did not have breakfast there but we sure had a really good night sleep. Will come back to stay again.

Stayed 3 nights at this Premier Inn whilst we were visiting the area to see family. We could not fault it and we found very enjoyable. It’s an older Premier Inn, but it’s still quite well kept. The room was clean and comfortable. The hotel is in a good position for exploring the area and benefits from good free parking, would stay again.

Clean, good parking and a cooked breakfast cooked to order, nicely done, and cheerful staff. Will stay there again. Good location , easy beach access through a lovely park about 100 meters away. Even on a main bus route, if you have a few beers.

Has all the usual Premier Inn stuff but doesn't come even remotely above average so don't go with great expectations. Didn't sleep well but that was probably more to do with us than comfort of room as nothing wrong with room except free wi-fi barely worked. Hotel frontage is very shabby and doesn't look like a Premier Inn - you only know it is from the totem pole sign, otherwise it looks like a slightly run down pub. Interior is better than exterior. Service is OK but we, personally, found it a bit overbearing and false bonhomie. Location is best feature of hotel being short distance from both Bournemouth and Boscombe centres and easy walk to beach. Would recommend turning right out of hotel, walking a few minutes down main road and then going into wonderful Boscombe Chine gardens which will take you directly to the sea front and pier and associate facilities via a very pleasant stroll indeed.

Room comfortable, clean and well appointed, with air conditioning and refreshments, though no water provided, this was at a cost near the lifts. We used the underground car park which cost £9 for 24hrs, secure and you pay in the hotel, it wasn’t like the reviews I read, though the stairwell did have a pong. It looked the better choice opposite that had broken glass from smashed windscreen nearly everywhere. Breakfast was an extra charge and not at its best Premier or worth the charge, there was only one waitress who was clearly rushed off her feet, so items ran out and the choices were poor. No choice of yoghurt, the fresh fruit was old gone over bananas, apples and oranges, and generally not up to the standard I expected. I would probably stay here again as the hotel is only a 15 minute walk to the The Pavilion and sea, but probably wouldn’t have the breakfast. So hence my 4 out of 5 score.
