Jianshui Hotels with Free Breakfast

Facilities: New, especially the water heater in the room, which I really appreciated. Cleanliness: Very clean. Environment: Photogenic, although we're not good at taking pictures. Just relaxing in the courtyard was nice. Service: Superb, very friendly. They even helped with our luggage at the station. It was truly better than I expected. I immediately extended my stay the next day. It's very close to the Seven-Arch Bridge, just a few minutes' walk. The guesthouse is right next to Daoli Park, which was still beautiful even though the rapeseed flowers were past their peak bloom. The rice noodles for breakfast were especially delicious. A northerner who had traveled all the way from Xishuangbanna ate them for two days straight, telling his companion he never wanted to hear rice noodles again! 😂 The bone broth and chili oil were incredibly fragrant. We enjoyed a walk in the park after breakfast to digest. 😁 During the day, you can eat at Jianlong (the sign is in traditional Chinese characters) next to the Qikongqiao parking lot. The food is light and delicious; if you prefer stronger flavors, just tell the owner. For those arriving by public transport, you won't be bored without a car. You can rent electric bikes to catch the train (there are shared electric bikes near the RV campsite's restrooms, but the seats are small; we found the nearest rental shop on the map and called the owner, who will tell you where the bikes are). It's a ten-minute ride (there are ancient bridges along the way, so you can enjoy the scenery). The area to Xianghui Station is very photogenic, and the fields next to the station are also quite charming. Inside the station, there are delicious cakes (super chocolate!), freshly baked pineapple buns with pineapple, and freshly baked Litsea cubeba beef pizza – super delicious! Two semi-retired people in their 30s were very satisfied in Daoli. We'll be back in a couple of days.

Facilities: Very satisfactory tatami bed, very easy to find on the roadside, and next to the Jianshui train station, super convenient!!! Environment: The hotel is on the roadside, but the courtyard is quiet and elegant, and taking photos inside is also very good. If it is not a holiday, I feel that I can live in the courtyard for a month. Our room is close to the street. There is no sound when the window is closed, and you can hear the lively hawking downstairs when the window is opened. I was afraid of being upset when traveling during holidays. The homestay I chose was so good that I wanted to stay for two more days (unfortunately there are not so many holidays). I have always been a bit hesitant to book this kind of old house B&B, fearing poor soundproofing, fear of noise, and fear of small rooms, but Zhuye Xuan completely subverted my concept. It is delicious, delicious, and comfortable to live in. Living here is cultural. I'm a lazy person who rarely writes reviews, but this time I was deeply moved by the owner and his family. Even the cleaning lady was so friendly and lovely. It truly revitalized my solo trip to Jianshui. The hotel is perfectly located, away from the hustle and bustle, yet very close to the train station and the ancient city—just over a hundred meters away. There are many traditional rice noodle shops just outside the door, so you can leisurely fill your stomach before heading out to explore. When I was going to and from the station, the owner drove a tricycle to the intersection to pick me up, worried about the inconvenience of lugging my luggage, even though it was only a few steps away. In the morning, when they saw me in the room, they asked if I wanted breakfast (my reservation didn't include it). I had already eaten, but the owner insisted on giving me an egg for protein and a box of brown sugar before I left. The ladies said they'd come back next year, and I replied, ”I'll be back in two months!” ❤️ I'm from the north, and this family is so gentle and polite. The entire inn is elegant and grand. The two-story courtyard is surrounded by bougainvillea, where you can swing on the swings, watch the moon, drink tea, and chat—it's so relaxing. The interior is on par with a four-star hotel in the city, with separate wet and dry areas, disposable towels, and brand-new hard and soft furnishings. The air is also very airy. I don't like old, dingy hotels, so this truly felt like home! Thank you again to the owner for his thoughtful hospitality. He booked me a train ticket in the middle of the night, provided me with food, drinks, and hairbands, and offered travel advice along the way. Please keep driving! I'll be back with friends. As a seasoned traveler with discerning tastes in accommodations, I found a great hotel in Jianshui this time. Initially, I didn't have high hopes, since Jianshui is only a county-level city. However, I found this hotel online with very high reviews, so I booked three nights with some skepticism. After arriving, I truly felt I made the right choice. A man claiming to be a hotel staff member picked me up at Jianshui Station in a clean and comfortable Alphard (I felt he was the owner). Upon arrival, he upgraded my room to a super spacious 95 square meters with a huge bathroom. Later, I enjoyed a very thoughtful afternoon tea, and breakfast for three consecutive days (exquisite!). There was also a self-service laundry room and a gym far exceeding average standards. The location was also excellent; it was within walking distance of Jianshui Ancient City and the small train. I've almost never reviewed a hotel so thoroughly before. See the pictures!

This stay was a delightful surprise, completely exceeding my expectations! I absolutely loved it. The front desk saw we had a child with us and kindly upgraded our room for free – so thoughtful! The room was spacious, decorated in a cozy and fun child-friendly style, and my kid was thrilled the moment we walked in. The bedding was clean and soft, and the family-friendly amenities were comprehensive, with great attention to detail, including a child's potty and slippers. The room had excellent natural light, and the soundproofing was good, so we slept very soundly. A special shout-out to the breakfast in the restaurant – it was abundant, the food was fresh, and the rice noodles were particularly outstanding. Both adults and children enjoyed it.

We actually came back to this hotel for a second stay after visiting the terraces, which says a lot about the overall experience. The location is fantastic, very close to the old town and right by a lovely lake, making it really special. The girls at reception are also incredibly kind and helpful, even if they don’t speak English, they do their best using a translator. Cleanliness was decent but could be improved a bit. We would recommend choosing a higher-category room, as the basic ones feel a bit outdated and less comfortable. Overall, a great stay mainly thanks to the amazing location and the kindness of the staff.

We booked a mini double room and at the reception they made sure we liked it before giving it to us. In reality, despite being a mini double room, the room was spacious, with all the necessary amenities. We found everything we needed for the shower and hygiene. The cleanliness was absolutely perfect. Chinese-style buffet breakfast, although at the reception we were told it was an international cuisine. The location of the hotel is perfect for those travelling by train (15 minutes by bus from the station) and is a 20-minute walk from the historic centre. I absolutely recommend it!

This guesthouse is super convenient; taxis can drop you right at the entrance, which shows the owner really thought about the perfect location. The guesthouse has three floors, and each level's common area is thoughtfully decorated with lots of succulents, making it very pleasant to look at. The room facilities are standard, but the air conditioning blows directly onto the bed, making it quite chilly at night. A pottery throwing experience was included with the stay. Although there wasn't much guidance, it was fun to just go with the flow and added a nice touch to the trip.
