The breakfast was quite ample, offering coffee, tea, and snacks. Upon checkout, we received a souvenir and they helped us take our luggage to a spot where we could easily catch a taxi. Dining options nearby were convenient, and within walking distance, we could buy souvenirs and try the delicious Ginger Duck. The young man at the front desk was incredibly patient and helpful in explaining tour routes and recommending places to eat. A big thank you to him! He was a very handsome, fair-skinned young man. Unfortunately, I'm getting older and forgot his name! So embarrassing! I arrived on March 29, 2026, at 10:00 AM. The room I booked was 50 square meters, on the 5th floor, with direct elevator access. It was spacious, tidy, and clean, with a nice color scheme for the decor. The bed was comfortable, and the duvet wasn't too heavy. I chose this hotel for three main reasons: 1. The room had ample space, with plenty of areas to place luggage (saving space), and the two chairs were a crucial addition. 2. Its location: within the ancient city, making transportation relatively convenient. We could reach major attractions by taking the scenic shuttle bus. 3. It's very close to Guandi Temple, just an 8-minute walk, which was perfect for enjoying the temple's beautifully lit night view. Furthermore, it's worth mentioning a few things: the storage shelves were a great solution for increasing storage space, the touch-activated call button was clean and convenient, and it's rare to see a storage rack in the shower area, which was excellent. The shower water pressure was good, the drain worked perfectly with no odors, and the exhaust fan was very powerful. All in all, I'm very satisfied! And I'm so glad I chose this place. Highly recommended!

This hotel offers excellent service; the staff are all very warm and welcoming. The drinks, ice cream, and game console at the front desk were a must-have for the kids whenever we left or returned. The roasted sweet potatoes were also delicious – please prepare more! The room was very clean, with great attention to detail. The price increase during the Chinese New Year wasn't too outrageous, which was acceptable. Although the breakfast selection was limited, the ingredients were good, and I especially appreciated the separate sections for raw and cooked food. Quanzhou isn't large; a taxi ride to attractions near West Street usually takes less than 20 minutes. The accommodation was very quiet, which was a big plus.

A very clean hotel, the service was great. As there are a big group of us checking in and was pretty late in the evening, they let us go to the room to have a rest while they are taking our passports details instead of waiting there. Also, they know that we come as a big family, so they have arranged us in the same floor. There are issues with my room’s door but they rectify pretty fast. Very spacious room. Super comfy mattress. Good selection of breakfast even for my vegetarian mum. The only thing need to be aware of would be the dryer, as it took a long time to dry the clothes, try to wash the clothes and dry them on your first day of arrival and make it early, otherwise it might not dry. Overall we are very satisfied with the stay, if we come to back YongChun again, we will definitely stay in this hotel again.

Crowne Plaza QUANZHOU RIVERVIEW by IHG

Whenever I visit Quanzhou, I usually stay at the Crowne Plaza Riverside, which I believe has the largest rooms in Quanzhou. InterContinental hotels generally offer good quality and highly competent staff. I particularly love the apartment suites – they come with a kitchen, living room, and a long dining table. The room layout is well-organized, and the Jinjiang River flows right outside the window. The hotel is conveniently located 15 minutes from Quanzhou Station, less than 10 minutes from Licheng Wanda, and 10 minutes from Huansu Karting (one of Quanzhou's two major outdoor karting tracks). The hotel also offers daily intangible cultural heritage activities for children, such as puppet shows and sugar painting. This time, we also received complimentary set meals for two daily at the Cai Feng Lou on the second floor. The ginger duck was quite authentic, and the vinegar-marinated pork was delicious. The 32nd-floor lounge has a lovely ambiance, equipped with binoculars and a reading corner, perfect for a relaxing afternoon enjoying the scenery. Service is a highlight of InterContinental. You can see mid-level managers actively involved, and their English is excellent. I want to especially thank our front desk attendant, Xiao Yu, for his service this time. He's a cheerful, handsome, and outgoing young man, as warm as a younger brother next door, always thoughtful and considerate of guests. My parents were also very satisfied with their dining experience at the hotel. I also ran into Xiao Cai from the concierge team. He helped us with a taxi during our stay last Chinese New Year. It's been several months, but he still recognized us. The manager and staff at Cai Feng Lou were also humble and attentive, even helping us book a private room for our next meal. I often travel to different cities and experience various hotels. But when it comes to loyalty, I always choose InterContinental hotels. Their design style is grand yet simple, and their service is warm and friendly, making them well worth repeat visits.

Cleanliness: The room cleanliness was excellent. I'm a bit of a clean freak, but apart from some glue marks and traces on the walls, everything else was fine. No dust or hair at all. I can honestly say it's the cleanest room I've stayed in during my many trips to Quanzhou. I've been to Quanzhou many times and stayed in numerous places, but your cleanliness is truly impeccable – at least within the guest rooms. However, the corridor from the elevator to the room had an indescribable odor (2nd floor, it was slightly better when I moved to the 3rd floor). It smelled like a stale, stuffy scent combined with an air freshener, creating a strange, hard-to-describe smell, possibly due to lack of ventilation for too long. I'd recommend prioritizing ventilation. But this was the first time I was assigned a room that hadn't been fully cleaned – there was still one pillow on the bed without a pillowcase, and I wasn't informed. Only after I asked did the staff member tell me they were short on pillowcases that day. I could have waited, so I found it a bit puzzling. Facilities: The room lighting wasn't great. The curtain control switch was a bit odd; I couldn't see the curtain's status when I pressed the switch. I love bright rooms, but no matter how I pressed the buttons, I couldn't just close the sheer curtain. In the end, I had to close both. On the 2nd floor, the window view was entirely a concrete wall, and on the 3rd floor, it was someone's balcony. Next time, it would be better to have the sheer curtain drawn, as seeing a concrete wall immediately upon entering isn't a good impression. I know residential buildings are close in Quanzhou, but this could definitely be optimized. Soundproofing was poor, truly. At 2 AM, just as I was getting sleepy and about to go to bed, I heard the sound of a faucet turning on next door, and it wasn't quiet. It felt like it was right next to my head. The door was heavy, making me think the soundproofing would be good, but it wasn't. I could clearly hear when the neighbors left and what they were saying. Sleeping earplugs: These would be great to have in the room. There was plenty of very hot water, and the toilet worked well. These are excellent advantages of the room. The bed was firm, which I really liked. The projector focus could be adjusted a bit more as it was a little blurry. Having a subscription to TV channels was great; I enjoyed watching shows. Environment: It's very close to Zhongshan Middle Road, and the location is the best I've stayed in so far. I feel it's even better than Lushu. I really like Huaxiang, so no complaints there. Service: I'd like to commend the staff member; her attitude was excellent. The afternoon tea drinks were also delicious, and the scones were warm, fragrant, and very tasty. Thumbs up. The scones actually helped to offset my annoyance about discovering the missing pillowcase. I stayed up late, hoping to sleep in a bit later, but the soundproofing was truly bad. Regarding the front desk staff, I only saw them during check-in and check-out; I didn't encounter them at other times. Overall, it could be optimized further, but everything else was okay.

Quanzhou West Street Gucheng Alley Yu Hotel

The location is excellent, right on Zhongshan Middle Road, very close to West Street, Guandi Temple, Kaiyuan Temple, Confucian Temple, and many other attractions – all within a 15-minute walk. There are plenty of popular spots nearby, including great food and unique coffee shops. The hotel itself is very clean, and the service is excellent and very welcoming. The only minor downsides are that, perhaps due to its downtown location, the breakfast area is a bit small and the selection isn't huge. Also, it doesn't have a full range of public facilities like a gym or pool. However, these didn't detract from the overall stay experience, as the in-room facilities are quite new. I would definitely choose this hotel again next time I visit Quanzhou.

The room was clean, the facilities were complete, the service was comprehensive, and the front desk staff was very good and very caring. At the same time, parking is convenient. The smart toilet is very easy to use, the shower has a lot of water, and it is very comfortable to use. The location of the hotel is very good, the view is good, there is a convenience store and a snack shop downstairs. Very cost-effective, highly recommended.

Grand Honor Hotel

Grand Honor Hotel is definitely the best hotel in Shishi, but it’s not quite the same level as a luxury hotel in a bigger city. Generally the hotel is clean, but it’s the little things that I noticed, ie when I checked in, there were some sweet wrappers next to the bowl of sweets that weren’t cleared away. That said, the sense of space is evident in the hotel lobby, lifts, corridors and most importantly, the hotel rooms. Rooms are very spacious and well-designed, although the closet area can definitely do with brighter lights. Most amenities are provided but what put me off is that many items that would have been free in other hotels at this price-range aren’t free at Grand Honor. There is a Chinese tea set on the table and usually the loose leaf tea is provided for free but it cost ¥15 per packet. Honestly it’s not a lot of money for us, but on the flip side, surely the hotel can provide a bag of tea leaves for their guests. There are the standard free single-use packet tea in the drawer so at least there’s that. In-room slippers are not to be taken out; they’d charge you if you do - and that’s fine, but the slippers are actually really uncomfortable to wear. The small plate of fruits (banana, plum and mandarin) given at 5pm every day is a nice touch. The hotel breakfast is probably the highlight. Set on the 22nd floor with panoramic views of the city, breakfast is very enjoyable. The food quality is pretty good, but a real surprise here is the sheer diversity of food. The bread selection alone has 5-6 choices (pastries, brioche, baguette, square toast, etc), the cooked food section is almost endless (and there’s cooked Chinese vegetables! 👏🏾) and then there’s the fruit selection at the end too. My only gripe is that the coffee machine is a bit slow, and there’s only one machine so there can be a wait for coffee. Location of the hotel is a little odd; good restaurants and the main mall is about 15 mins’ walk away. There aren’t many good shops to wander around nearby. Generally, this is a solid hotel for this price point. Excellent service with very fast food delivery (using the ubiquitous delivery robots) and friendly front desk staff.

Quanzhou West Lake Hotel boasts an excellent location right next to West Lake Park, offering great transport links. The 'Little White Car' stop right outside provides direct access to the ancient city's core. The hotel facilities are new and comprehensive, with spacious and bright rooms. Some room types even feature oversized floor-to-ceiling windows, offering expansive views of West Lake – truly a sight to behold. The front desk staff are warm and attentive, making check-in a breeze, and the intelligent robot delivery service is a convenient touch. The hotel's quiet environment makes it ideal for families or business travelers, and its high value for money makes it a fantastic choice for visiting Quanzhou.

The location is excellent, both quiet and convenient. It only takes about 15 minutes by taxi to get to any attractions or restaurants. The room design is well-thought-out and the size is just right. Downstairs, there's a supermarket and various eateries. Plus, a few minutes' walk away, there's a well-established noodle paste and dessert shop that offers bigger portions and better taste than those found near tourist spots.
