Lakes Hotels with Free Breakfast

This hotel is a gem although it has only 10 rooms. The host John is very friendly and helpful. The room is very clean and comfortable although it's not very big. The choice of breakfast spread are many and I like most is their homemade blueberry pancakes. Portion is very generous and we skipped lunch during our 2 nights stay there. Highly recommended!

Great hotel with a decent location in the middle of the Lake District. You can walk/ cycle to Ambleside which is 5 miles away. Low fells are easy to hike for great views of the area around. The hotel is more like a private house with rooms. We got a small suite with bedroom, bathroom and living room. We could just about see the lake from the living room. The bathroom only has a bath and no shower head which was a difficulty for washing hair. Except for that it was very well organised. Breakfast was at a nearby pub - The Good Sport. It was a limited selection on the menu: full English, breakfast rolls, toast or porridge. You also got a 10% for dinner in the pub too.
