Guest UserOur family really enjoyed our stay, though the bed was a bit small.
The breakfast was plentiful and varied. They offered ice cream and probiotic drinks daily, plus free ramen in the evenings. The hotel genuinely cares about its guests with such thoughtful services.
The natural hot spring was also very relaxing; we could enjoy the falling snow on our faces while soaking in the courtyard. We'll definitely stay here again next time.

Due to high demand, our second night was in a smoking room, and it definitely had a strong odor. However, there was a spray bottle on the wall, and after using it, the air quality improved significantly. The hygiene was very good, and the room had amenities like a kettle and a fridge. Plus, it's very close to Asahikawa Station, which was great.

Guest UserWe chose this ryokan for its proximity to Asahikawa Zoo. With a rental car, its location was convenient. The room featured traditional tatami mats and futons for our family of four. The highlight was the in-house ‘onsen’ bath, which we enjoyed without any additional fees. The attentive staff surprised us by clearing the snow off our car after a heavy snowstorm. Senshoen gets my highest recommendation for its service, comfort, and lovely garden.

CKW_71The room and bathroom are just like what you’d expect from a typical Japanese hotel—compact, with all the essentials, including a bathtub. The rooftop onsen is quite nice as well. The location is excellent—you can see the hotel as soon as you exit Asahikawa Station.

Guest UserGreat experience! It's about a 6-7 minute walk from the station, and there's a convenience store downstairs. The rooms and facilities are relatively new, and the onsen (hot spring) is quite spacious. Breakfast was delicious. There's also a humidifier provided in the room.
The only minor downside is that the last entry for breakfast is 9 AM, so I ended up wasting my breakfast voucher on the first day 😂

XiaziyoushijieI've stayed at countless hotels during my trips to Japan, and even the old and small ones have always felt worth it. This is truly the first one that I genuinely regret. First, the location. On the map, it doesn't seem far from the JR station, but walking there is a real trek. Whether it's summer or winter, with or without luggage, the path itself is fine, but it's just so far and tiring! Second, the service is very inattentive. I booked a triple room, and I've never encountered a hotel that forgot to make up the third bed! Then, this is an old hotel that was acquired, renovated, and reopened. The overall impression is a bit like a botched renovation project – very makeshift, cobbled together, and carelessly done. They only renovated the parts they want you to see, and for the rest, they just put up a wooden board to cover it up. I booked this place specifically because of the Hoshino Resorts name, and I feel a bit deceived! Finally, the breakfast indeed tastes good, but the variety isn't extensive, though you can get full. If you don't book in advance, you can't add it on the day. If you're just going for the breakfast, I mean, where can't you find breakfast?! (The photos are what they want you to see; imagine the unseen parts yourself!)

1 night in Asahikawa, this hotel easily to get there but you have to park opposite side of hotel if hotel not free( I guess or maybe if you stay more than 1 night might be can park at the hotel area) big hotel. Room is okay, there is a window but cannot open. Heater not easy to open. Overall is okay. There is onsen inside hotel.
Breakfast is good and nearby Aeon department store and food restaurant.

This is a traditional, family-run inn that truly excels in hospitality and personal charm. I booked a room with a private bath; it was exceptionally spacious at nearly 40 square meters, and we had the entire floor to ourselves. Our private bath was conveniently located directly on the rooftop, situated at the highest point of the small hill, offering an amazing soaking experience. The family operates their own restaurant, and both breakfast and dinner were delightful. This was our children's favorite hotel of the entire trip, providing fantastic value for money. They even have a nostalgic 90s-era arcade! It's definitely a top choice for travelers on a self-drive trip. The owner and staff were incredibly warm, enthusiastic, and kind. A huge thank you once again for their wonderful hospitality!

A room is not that small. It's fit for 2 people and luggages. I recommend for who want to stay and have low budget (but want a comfortable room)
